Came by and was in and out in 25 minutes. No issues with my car. The guy who worked on it was honest, funny, straightforward. A friend of mine recommended this place and now I am recommending it to you. Only one person working on the car at a time. They have a few spots out front. They are cheaper than their competitors down the street. And much cheaper than places in Walnut Creek. Highly recommend!

This jerk made me come back because I failed the "visual inspection". I informed him I was taking my car immediately to the dealer for a 150k check up, and that wahtever intake hose he was talking about would be replaced, but nope, he failed me anyways and made me come back a second time. He was beyond rude, and takes about a million years to enter info into a computer while you wait in their dingy, dirty office. I wont be going back here. read more

My husband has been using this place for years. Welp not anymore!! He went there this morning with our older truck to be smogged. From the moment he got there the older gentleman working was extremely rude , first he tried to discourage my husband by saying it would take over an hour .... Since we are regular customers my husband agreed to wait. While waiting another customer in the waiting room stated "he doesn't like to work on difficult vehicles ". Well that customer finished and was sent on his way. Next the man starts on our truck ..... then abruptly stops .... He comes to my husband and says the smog machine is now broken and he can't smog our truck. What a joke ! This man is a liar He likes to pick and choose which vehicles he will take in and smog. Friendly, fast, and reasonably priced. Plus you can browse in the hardware store and buy things you don't need (like the Bluetooth LED Music Flying Disc I got) during the 15 minutes or so they're checking your car. Highly recommend! read more

I had a wonderful experience at Ace Auto Smog! I needed to get a Smog done for DMV registration, Shafi Azizi was very accommodating, providing WiFi for my son's tablet, and even honored a coupon that I accidentally printed out for a different place! I am very happy that I ended up here anyways because the service was very efficient, only took about 10 minutes! I highly recommend Ace, and I will definitely be back in the future! read more

I called this place on a Saturday and they said they weren't busy that minute and got me in and out in 15 mins. If you check in on Yelp you'll get $10 off the smog. Will definitely use these guys for all my smogs in the future. read more

I had a really frustrating experience with Pacheco Smog…read more I bought a used car that already had an aftermarket intake with a CARB sticker. When I first brought it in, the technician popped the hood, saw the intake, and still went ahead with the smog test--only to fail it on the visual. I was charged around $100 and told to fix the issue and come back, and that they'd retest at 50% off. I spent time and money replacing parts to get everything right and came back expecting that discounted retest. Unfortunately, the original guy wasn't there, and the person working that day refused to honor what I was told. Instead, he said I had to pay full price again. Yes, I'll admit I didn't have my original receipt--that's on me--but the bigger issue is they didn't even try to help. The employee refused to call the owner to verify what I was told, and apparently they don't keep any record of previous visits. No system, no accountability--just "pay again." The whole situation felt unprofessional and honestly pretty shady. It seems like the priority here is collecting as much money as possible rather than treating customers fairly. I won't be coming back.

It was also really convenient that they have after hours dropoff available. You just park your car in their lot, and they have a safe place to drop off your keys. When I got there the gentleman was very attentive and got in my car and put it in the garage before I even had a chance to walk around my car to go in the building. I have been coming to this location for years but noticed the name had changed but figured i would give them a try and I am glad I did. I was greeted like a friend and was able to sit inside where it was warm plus Yelp offered a $10 coupon which of course I used.
