First thing that went wrong was the instructor contacted me the day of our appointment which was scheduled over a week in advance, and she requested that I leave work early so the session could take place a 2 instead of the original time of 3:30. I obliged just to be nice. I drove from Stockton to Sacramento at the meeting spot. She ended my daughters lesson 30 minutes early and never took her on the freeway, I immediately called her and asked why, she claimed that there was too much traffic but she insured me that my daughter drove safely and "beautifully" . I hung up and called the office to speak with the owner who was very unprofessional by suggesting I wasn't telling the full story and said he would offer another 30 minutes as a courtesy. After speaking with him then my daughter, I learned that not only did the instructor not take me daughter on the freeway but she also took a call and discussed rushing to meet her friend for plans that they had. My daughter was ripped off from what should have been a great ending to her training program all because the instructor wanted to rush back to her personal life and I'm upset because this isn't fair.no one has called me back even tho I was promised a follow up. I would not use this company or recommend it

She's condescending and very passive, and I don't think childcare is her calling. My son was in her care based on the immediate need of my work schedule change, so she initially came off as a caring person who you'd "think" you can trust and work with. But in the end Shalese showed her true colors within 3 days of my son being in her care. And decided that she would clinically diagnose my son with "severe separation/anxiety" when I know for a fact she's not licensed to diagnose anybody. So she inconvenienced my job and claimed that she would need a break from him for a day, after being paid for a week in advance. And didn't bother to refund me or his mother for the days that he wasn't in her care. So parents save yourself the trouble & look elsewhere.

Since permits expire a year later, before I knew it, November 2018 came around. I was looking EVERYWHERE for a driving instructor because I was a minor at the time, and I had an extremely small amount of time to fit in all my driving lessons before my permit expired. After getting in contact with Natomas Driving School, I was partnered up with John Diggs. Of course, driving for the first time is an intimidating thing, but John made me comfortable and forget that fear. Before I knew it, I was on the freeway driving with no anxiety. John is an intelligent man, and knows what he's doing. He's been an instructor for years and is extremely skilled at what he does. He even gave me the nickname, "Smiley" because I always smiled and laughed whenever we were together. 10/10. I was able to fit all my lessons in two weeks, then took the drivers test, and passed! They are worth every cent of their fee. I have never met two people that cared so much about my sons success in school. They ask all the right questions and are really good at seeing what needs to happen in order for your child to receive the services they deserve and get the help they need in the school system. This portion of our public school system is absolutely broken. If you are not trained in special education, the process of working with the schools is so foreign, you will be lost and left scratching your head. The sad fact is, if your child has or needs an IEP, you need an advocate in my opinion. My son has had an IEP for years and could have been getting help all those years, but I was unaware of what is available and due to our children with special needs. I am so thankful I came across DAS.

I selected Program 2 with an additional 1-hour lesson ($575 for 5 hours of instruction.) The instructor was kind and patient, however, always showed up late behind at least 20-45 minutes to every appointment and contact me at the last minute, so I never know until then. Moreover, my 4th lesson was cancelled at the last minute, even though she decided the appointment day and time. She ended up wasting my Sunday since she scheduled it in the middle of the day on Sunday. To make matters worse, the instructor provided feedback about my final lesson only after my behind-the-wheel driving test was already over‼ I informed her about my test day, but I didn't receive her feedback until after the test was over‼ This made it impossible to review effectively and rendered the feedback meaningless. As a result, I failed the test. Therefore I had to take extra lessons with another school. ※Update based on the comments below: I personally do not think this is fair‼ Was I treated differently than other students⁉ I didn't feel completely prepared because all lessons except the final one(DMV mock test) always finished earlier within 1 hour. Especially when a student specifically requests to work on their weaknesses. I took an additional lesson and asked to practice areas where I struggled, such as parking, lane changes, and merging into heavy traffic. However, you barely focused on any of these, despite my direct requests‼ Instead, you spent most of the time having me drive in a straight line, leaving me still uneasy about lane changes. I passed all my exams first time around. The instructors there are so amazing and reach to your learning level especially Amber from the OAP, I couldn't have understood orthodontics without her. Donna is so supportive and she makes me feel as if she's my safety net. They are very responsive and caring. I refer all my fellow DA's to take courses and the fade. The institute is so modern and they have everything you need to learn in whatever specific course you are taking.
