Not knowing what to expect we were so pleasantly suprised. The boxes were by the front gate and as soon as we entered we were greated by a nice lady. We looked at the boxes, decided which ones we wanted and a worker came over and loaded them in our van. We didn't need to load anything. I paid the lady on her phone and she texted me a reciept. When we arrived I walked around a bit to check out what they had to offer-what was in season and wondering where the cactus plants were. I liked this little sign they had in the middle of their nursery which advised everyone what was in season and what should be planted at this time of year-for a newbie green thumb person like myself-information like that is very helpful. After walking around a bit I decided on the cutest little cactus to add to my collection at home and it cost me $7.99,so cheap and my daughter decided to get a snow peas plant($7.49). The store inside is also fun to browse with both garden accessories, as well as gifts, fun items, and local things that someone with an interest in gardening would also enjoy. The staff is friendly and helpful and there's even sometimes a cute and friendly cat that's wondering around to greet guests. But just recently I have been going to Matsuda's nursery for plants and material. Yes, Matsuda's is geared more for the contractors than for homeowners. And the other reviews that I've read have been harsh and almost personal. But when I did go for the first time I was treated respectfully and they where also eager please. They also have a large variety of product and I have no complaints but that may be because I don't wear my feelings on my sleeve. Just know if you do go they are geared more towards the contractor. If you want people to serve you hand and foot go to Green acres and Pay more money. By the way, Matsuda's owns Green acres nursery.
