This is a split between gardening supplies and plants. They don't have trees like your average nursery, but more of succulents, cactus, herbs, and decorative flora. They sell tons of giants pots and has an indoor shop with cute gardening knick knacks. I've purchased many cute household plants from them. I love that the space itself is decorated to give you ideas for your next project. It's a nice stroll thru paths, gazebos, and ponds/water structures. There is an annual butterfly event when the butterflies migrate and stop by the Secret Garden's many passionfruit vines. During their summer events, there's rotating vendors. I actually found my favorite coffee from a pop-up here, which now they have a brick and mortar shop downtown, Burnside Coffee. Whether you're looking for ideas or cute plants, the Secret Garden has it. Sometimes it's just nice to stroll around their grounds. I'm hoping they expand more in the future and add more gardens and structures. Hopefully they can set up a picnic area and have more events.

They also sell Bonsai soil for much less than Any other dealer. They have specialty bonsai, soil (for Azeleas) and bonsai pots as well. Well, some of the major specimens may not be for sale. They do have very large trees for sale that are one of a kind. Ask them what you're looking for and they may be able to find it. The Sacramento community is lucky to have this Nursery. Mr Maruyama it's very knowledgeable about horticulture and growing Bonsai.

I called again to complain and she said that's probably all they had and I told her we were there last night and there were a bunch left and they purposely selected the smallest one. Located in a big shopping plaza with plenty of parking spaces, and the owner (or staff - not sure as the only individual there) was friendly and accommodating. Sure enough - I bought the peacock planter, plus got 1 small size cute rabbit shaped and turtle shaped planters! Will probably be back in the future when passing by Sacramento area (am from Modesto) and feel like garden shopping. Overall was a good experience!

Because they are not a chain store, their prices are a little higher than a Home Depot or Green Acres, but everything seems to be more hand chosen and it feels good to support local. There are a couple parking spots out front, but may be a little challenging to get back onto Folsom Blvd because it's at a busy intersection. I like to park on the side street where there is plenty of parking available.

i came there to buy 2 bricks of coco coir. there were none on the floor. i understand why they said…read morethey'll bring it out. after i paid they brought 2 out in trash bags and not sealed in plastic like it normally comes in. the guy tried to give me a 1/2 brick and a full brick. i brought it back in and said the sizes were disproportionate. they brought another one out. well, when i got home and soaked it in water. the brick did NOT expand! if you've ever used cococoir you know as soon as the water hits it .. it expands like crazy. normally it would fill my bucket up after putting water in it. it's about 1/3 of the way. these are probably used coco coir that was compressed back into a brick because there was bits of plastic and what appeared to be dirt. i've never experienced this using coco coir bricks before. i'd give it a zero or negative star if i could. totally displeased with the purchase and experience. totally wack
