These guys are great! I called on a Thursday afternoon, 15 minutes before closing time and spoke to Johnny. I know nothing about windows but I explained to him what was broken and needed repair. He explained everything to me, answered all my dumb questions and said he could have someone out to measure my window that next day at 8am. He took extra time to explain things to me so I understood more. I appreciated this! The window technician showed up on time and had finished all his measurements within 20 minutes. He was very professional. Less than a week later, I got a call from Johnny again to set up a time to do the repair. The guy came this morning bright and early. He was very professional and friendly. Couldn't be happier with the results.. Took a little bit longer to get installed, but let me explain. My neighbors were having all of their windows replaced so I asked the guy that appeared to be in charge who confirmed he is the owner, Johnny, if they do shower doors and if so could he provide me an estimate to replace our old outdated gold shower doors with frameless glass doors? He advised they do and he would come after he finished the neighbors job. I got busy and never head from Johnny that day. The next day Johnny showed and and explained it had taken longer to finish the neighbors windows but he wanted to come take a look at our project. Johnny came in and I told him what I wanted and he began to take detailed measurements and asked some questions. I advised him that I was just looking for a rough quote and didn't want to waste his time if it was going to be over what I was expecting the cost to be. Johnny understood and provided me with a ballpark amount based upon his experience which was within my budget so I advised to proceed with his measurements. Johnny finished and advised he would call the next day with final quote. Johnny called as he said he would and I agreed to the price and sent him a deposit and he advised a couple of weeks to get the glass fabricated. Johnny called and advised the glass was in and scheduled the install for the next day. About half way through the install Johnny advised he had chipped a piece of glass and he said he would have to order a replacement. I saw the chip which was very small, but Johnny advised he wants to replace it because of his attention to detail. I may not have ever noticed this chip and appreciated this. We were unable to use the shower for another week or so, but as soon as the replacement piece came it Johnny got it installed and couldn't be happier with the results. Price was right, communication and service was excellent. I would use Golden State Window and Glass for any other glass needs in the future.. read more

I contacted Johnny and he came to my home even late in evening after a long day to measure and very personable and explained in detail how the project would be done and time lines for completion. I received a reasonable quote considering how big my shower was at over nine feet and that's a lot of glass. Update 12/11/20 STILL HAPPY Well, life happens and we had a part on our shower door break off...I didn't want anyone else to to look at it since it was installed by Golden State Window and Glass (and I trust them). I called Johnny and sent him a picture of what broke off, turns out it was just a plastic shim. Johnny told me that he would come by when he was my area (over an hour away from his location). I was happy, but not expecting much, since it didn't seem like a big deal. So, imagine how thrilled I was when I got the text that they would be in my area! When Johnny and Jason arrived, they quickly fixed the shim and were on their way. We Have Very Large Heavy Sliding glass door that was not opening properly due to the rollers being gone I called Golden State Window and Glass they came right out took a look at it told me what we needed did a fantastic job in repairing it. One of the repairman noticed that the handle was loose. He didn't have to care about that - I hadn't called about that - but he cared enough to fix that for me. I really appreciated the quick response, the excellent work and the attention to detail that really showed me they cared about their customers and their projects. By far the worst window company I've ever dealt with. Called serval times to get an update on the window. First it was "broken" while it arriving to his business so waited another week; only for his employees to notify me that the owner measured my window wrong. HE CAME OUT AND MEASURED IT AND STILL GOT IT WRONG. waited 3 weeks to get those news and ignored our calls for a week. Worst service ever. Take your money else where. read more

I called a few other shower door companies that were recommended to me by friends, but the companies never called me back! I even called them twice over a 2 week period!...... I took a chance and called Golden State Window and Glass based on the reviews. Johnny answered the phone right away (gasp!) and had someone out to measure the day that was best for me. (Johnny made it happen) Great communication with the employee that came to measure - making sure he took down exactly what I wanted, and also offered suggestions for the height of the shower door. The glass shower door was ready several days before anticipated. Appointment made to install the next day. The installers were very punctual with great communication to make sure we were all on the same page with what my expectations were regarding where I wanted the door handle, and placement of the door itself to give me the most elbow room before the install began. They did a GREAT job installing the shower door - obvious attention to detail, and cleaned up after themselves. My neighbor will be needing a shower door soon, so I recommend Golden State Window and Glass and will continue to recommend. read more
