It's not even worth the 1 star, but you can't give a lower rating. The service is TERRIBLE. Ranges from .5-1.5mbs and that's when it's working. This was a vacation home, but we are spending more time here and need something that works. Can't stream Netflix or anything else. $55/month for terrible internet. If anyone knows if a reliable service provider in the area, please let me know. Until then I'll be using my phone hotspot.... read more

Very unreliable internet access. The internet has been cutting out every weekend since it was installed! When I advised them, I was told that they "don't have any records to review from the weekends". And why not? I was even kicked off my computer, due to "radio interference". How does that even happen?? read more

Horrible horrible internet service. Literally have one tv going trying to watch a movie and disconnects and buffers every other min. They say their in the process of an upgrade but have been saying this for the past two years no improvement. Rude owner but have no other option here in this area of needles and they know this and take advantage of it, if I could I would choose any other company than this one!!! read more

I agree with all the reviews, which are all negative. I have all the same problems. I went to the highest plan and can't even use the rewind on my tv. Sometimes spend all day just trying to get on the internet. I moved out here for lower home prices, but I work from home using the internet. Won't have to worry about home prices with no business. I'm going to use my phones HOt spot. It's faster and more reliable. It's sad, but I always wanted to be mobile? But that's my only choice here in Needles. TIP, don't try Hughesnet, the unlimited plan and even if you pay extra each month you still run out of coins. It's bad. And when I moved here I had a contract with Frontier, had to cancel since can't get here. I got the hot spot up and have tried it, working good. Have been worried about making the change since my gold valley internet is working today. But after ready the reviews I know that it will have to be done. As well as the fact that I recommend if you have att cell phone? Change it to consumer cellular. Have three phones witch I brought with me and unlimited talk, text and you pay for only the data you need. Since my new phone bill is only 60. I will have the other 49.00 that I paid to golden valley to use as my data. Either way it's better. Works, mobile, cheaper and internet and phone bill together. read more

After numerous phone calls on my part, Rick was able to walk me through getting everything back up and running perfectly. Can't ask for better customer service then that! And by the way, Rick's price for the equipment was far lower then some other local Dish suppliers. I called customer service and was on the line for 45 minutes while they tried to troubleshoot on their end. I then had to schedule another appointment for a technician to come out to my home. I live in a gated community and customer service was asking about a build # which I didn't know because I just moved in. I gave her my address and she said that she would have to transfer me to take off the building # from their system. When she transferred me, I had to go through the whole process of verifying who I am ( name, phone #, address, account # ). Now I am looking at being on the phone with them for 50 minutes. I ended up getting frustrated with the run around and told them I want to cancel their service that I never even had. Do your research, but stay away from Century Link.

Thinking our family vacation was over, I reached out to Sun Country Service Department. I explained my situation. The tech I spoke with was confident what the issue was and that they had the part in stock. I thought there is no way they will get me in on a holiday weekend to get this repair done and get me back on the water this trip. The tech put me in contact with Derek, the Service Manager. He said, "Bring it in Friday morning and I will see what I can do to squeeze you in". I dropped the boat off Friday morning, at 1:30 pm. Derek called and said, "your boat is ready"! Derek and his team salvaged our vacation and got us back on the water. Top notch service. I highly recommend.

I just moved from CA to the Topock AZ (Golden Shores Community). I have a lot of Family in the surrounding area. While still in CA & preparing to move I questioned everyone on the best internet & cable I should use. Everyone I spoke to told me that I would have problems with every cable co. because I'm moving to such a remote area. I researched on my own & decided to choose Golden Valley Cable. I have only been here a few months but I have to say that I'm totally pleased with this Co. I have not had a single issue with my internet. I will say in CA I had major issues resulting in changing to 3 different cable companies within a 6 mo. period. Yesterday I had trouble connecting a device to my internet & The GVC office Girl was so polite & ready to send someone same day. I figured out it was me ! I corrected the problem but still had a question regarding a message I didn't understand on my phone. She still had her Boss call me when he came into the office & he took care of my concerns perfectly. The customer care with this company from day 1 has been superb. With nothing but negative comments regarding cable companies in this area I wanted to give positive review to GVC that I honestly believe they deserve. Customer service is really bad. I kept having billing issues where I wanted the payment to come out of my card every month but the company wouldn't do it and I would end up with 3 months of bills to pay, when I thought they already had been. I called and got the owners wife and was told by her my opinion didn't matter and anything I had to say wouldn't effect their company, she then challenged me to try and give any bad reports and I would see how it would end up. Very crazy and now that frontier has Internet speeds 6 times faster for the same price, I switched to them no problem and would rather deal with a company template of customer service then the owners wife going off on me for their mistake. Recently moved to this area and needed internet ASAP. Even though they were backed up on installs I explained my urgency and had it connected within a few days. The customer service over the phone is always friendly and if they come out for technical support they made me feel like I had called a friend over to help me. So much better than these larger companies, because the treatment they gave me is always very personable. read more
