Such a friendly place! My little boy was having issues and I have been to vet clinics who would say " he's fine " .. then be done. The Dr , really tried to figure out what was going on. I appreciate the staffing! See you guys soon for the recheck

I have been going to Golden Valley Vet for about 3 years now since I previously had bad experiences at 3 other local vets. I have had nothing but great visits, they take very good care of both my pups, both Drs listen to my concerns,, all staff front and back know my girls and I by 1st name. Always helpful, via phone call, email or in office. We wont take our girls anywhere else!

I am so very thankful to have found Golden Valley Vet! From start to finish, the experience was incredible. Scheduling was easy, and the staff was beyond helpful. They performed an EKG before my dog's dental cleaning to ensure he would handle sedation safely, which gave me so much peace of mind. They ended up pulling nine teeth, and the care they provided was top-notch. They kept me updated throughout the entire process, and the cost was very affordable compared to other places. I will 100% make the hour-and-a-half drive to continue my dog's dental care here. Thank you so much to the entire team at Golden Valley Vet!

Bandit bloody toe nail was cut way far into the quick.

My mom has brought her dog here for the last 3 years. They're very Overpriced, the lady at the front desk is rude every time. Today, there was an awful lot of yelping coming from bandit,in the back. They bright him out and we paid and left. He's got long hair on his feet but when I looked at his toe nails, they were cut so far down into the quick, it was no wonder he cried so much.

I had brought my dog here when I first adopted her and she came super sick. We did the bloodwork and treatment and she's been great so far. I recently today had to bring my kitten in on a last minute emergency appointment when she was running a VERY high fever of 105.6. They did what they needed, administer fluids, did X-rays and blood work. I just got my little one home and glad she's feeling much better. I love everyone who works here, they are great people. The staff are so kind and I'm happy we found our forever vet clinic

Because I have a disability, my adult daughter is authorized on our account and brought our dog in for the visit. Instead of a vaccine appointment, my daughter was checked in for an exam. After answering routine questions from a veterinary technician, the veterinarian came into the room and performed an exam. My daughter was confused because previous vaccine appointments involved simply taking our dog back for vaccinations. We were then charged $74 for the exam and $130 for a fecal/heartworm test. The fecal charge was especially frustrating because we did not bring a sample, and I had already told the office the day before that I would not be doing that test. The office later refunded the $130 because no test was actually performed. When I called to discuss the unexpected exam charge, Susan, the office manager, told me my daughter had requested the exam, which is not true. She refused to remove the charge because the service had already been provided. I also found her dismissive, unwilling to listen, and she repeatedly spoke over me during the conversation. I am still waiting for a call back from Dr. Wallace. Unfortunately, the way this situation was handled has caused me to lose confidence in the practice. I have requested my dog's records and will be transferring her care elsewhere.

Once I finally was able to commit to a date, the correspondence I received from TPA was clear and helpful. I was told when to begin restricting food/water, what time to arrive, and the details of the check-in process. As directed, I arrived by 8am and notified office staff. I was quickly greeted by the vet tech, Jill, who was absolutely the best. Jill was warm, patient, and knowledgeable. She let me see where the procedure would be preformed and where Zero would be held, and explained when/why she would call (if blood work was concerning, if it wasn't safe to sedate, if they had suggested extractions). Despite being nervous, Jill definitely helped me feel better about leaving my boy in her care. Since his bloodwork was fine, the next time I heard from Jill was when she called to share suggested extractions. She briefly reviewed the dentition of a dog, explained where there were areas of concern in Zero's mouth, and was able to give me monetary figures when asked. She took time to consider my follow-up questions and I felt the interaction was professional while being empathetic and frank. At no time did I feel that she was trying to upsell me or otherwise get more money out of me. When I picked Zero up, Jill came out holding him. She sat with me and reviewed his bloodwork line by line, his X-rays, and showed me before and after pictures of his teeth. She also provided me with clearly labeled medications. We talked about food and general aftercare, including what I might observe, and I felt comfortable about heading home. We are now at the tail end of recovery and Zero has done fantastic, and I truly attribute a lot of that to Jill & her efforts. Thank you!

Our old Vet's office in Turlock changed ownership and they no longer had any of our dog's medical records, so we decided to just start over with a new vet. We found Dr Raj's reviews and decided to give him a try. We had a positive experience at this Vet's office. They keep a clean office, there is plenty of room in the waiting area to keep pets a safe distance from each other, and the staff was very professional in their handling of us. Dr Raj took the time to educate us about a few things, which I really appreciated. He examined our dog, who was scared and anxious about being at the Vet's office, with a very gentle hand and I could tell that he won her trust. The Vet's assistant was also very kind and informative, and I felt that she really took the time to connect with our dog as well. Dr Raj came up with a plan of action, and our dog is already showing signs of improvement in response to the treatment plan that we are faithfully following. I think we found our new Vet.

They have a lot of staff on hand and specific prescription food. Their response for prescriptions to send out to Chewy is also very fast. The bad: Most of the time I call and they answer and ask me to hold (unless it' an emergency). I hold and hold ... and HOLD. In fact I have held sometimes over 20 minutes and nobody every comes back to help me. Just because it's not an emergency and I am willing to hold that does not mean FOREVER! After you help your customer in line then it's my turn please. Oh also, you had better have a LOT of money because this place will not start with the basic things. They immediately head right to the easiest way to make as much money as possible. Cat got a wheeze and lost a couple pounds? Let's run bloodwork for $650. That all came back fine? Oh ok, then let's do an Xray for $650. All clear there? Doc basically refuses anything else but an exam of the GI for $750. We pass on the GI test and the breathing get's worse. Call back and now they want to start the process over again with chest Xrays for another $650. How about starting out small and do some steroids or an antibiotic first? I guess that's not going to make them enough money. Imagine going into a doctor and saying you have a fever and a cough and they immediately send you in for Xrays and bloodwork and CT scans and an MRI just for the hell of it. Hey Jules ... Since my first amazing experience here ... my senior baby Reptar of 12 years passed away 4/24/26 …read more I wasn't going to share my ending experience but out of love and respect for my sweet boy , I'm going to tell it . The mass ended up being mast cell tumor and the cancer had spread giving me weeks left with him . After his first removal 2/26 , the aftercare seemed like they cared , hence the 5 star review . They called after to check up on him , would answer my calls to any questions I had about his healing and such .. healing was going well . Then he got another big mass shortly after close to where the previous surgery was . We scheduled another removal . The 2nd removal and healing process was HORRIBLE . Engraved in my mind and truly traumatized forever .. and then the after care and treatment we both got from the staff , "supervisor" and vet assistants was beyond heartless . He was prescribed carprofen for his pain meds after surgery even though I asked for rimadyl since he's always taken that for pain . the carprofen had lamb flavor in it causing him to have outbreaks and suffering on top of the cancer attacking his body making his time left here more miserable . I couldn't figure out why or if it was the cancer ?? until I found out there was lamb in the pain pill and he's allergic to lamb .. I didn't know it had flavoring nor was I asked anything about allergies to things like that . I thought they were just normal pain pills being prescribed , I'd break half and put it in mashed potatoes or something soft and he'd just swallow it , he doesn't chew medicine ... so that upset me because he suffered for a while until I stopped giving him the pills and he immediately changed behavior and started acting back to normal and all the reactions settled . He was gushing blood and puss out of his new and old incision even though the old one basically healed , it was infected and forcing its way out reopening the healed scar . I called the office scared asking for advice and some antibiotics and Sam the receptionist really really really made this harder on me than it already was . Her attitude , the lack of empathy and respect she continuously showed throughout our interactions over the phone , lack of urgency when I needed to pass on important messages to Dr.Singh , she would refuse and try to give me her own advice FIRST until I was adamant I wanted it passed on ... I spoke to the office supervisor Shay about her actions because how are you the face of the vet/answering phones and have an attitude like that towards GRIEVING patients whose dog is currently dying ?! Ridiculous . Spoke to an employee named Zaire a couple times in replacement of Sam that were unpleasant as well , both need to be retrained in customer service and BOTH lacked respect and empathy ! It got to a point where he was constantly throwing up and I was researching that they can prescribe nausea pills or give a shot for relief , that option was being denied to me because they wanted me to come back in for another transaction "to see if he really needed them" instead of just prescribing my dying dog the pills at Costco for some relief in his final days ... Dr.Singh wasn't in the office for that request so Dr.Berrar according to what the staff told me , that he wouldn't give me anything until I came back in the office even though we were just there the day before and them all seeing the condition he was in . Shay did eventually offer for me to come in for a shot for 1 day relief FOR NOW but I was already so mentally drained after all the fighting , I got him help elsewhere for that . Dr. Singh told me personally in our visit if I needed anything medication wise to send in the request and he'd get on it and I was constantly being shut down while I'm trying to be an advocate and be strong for my dog while my heart was breaking from losing him .. so so discouraging on top of losing my best friend right in front of my eyes . After he passed away , I had so much hurt and anger towards the recent actions of this vet , I HAD to tell Shay EVERYTHING that happened , bawling my eyes out on the phone and eventually letting her know that he had passed away . $5000 later and my dog isn't here anymore , not once did the staff or Dr. Singh reach out with a call , send a card of condolences or anything . This felt very transactional and not genuine AT ALL . My poor baby suffered soooo much his last days and I was doing my ALL to fight for him and get him the help he needed , just for it all to be too late . All I have left to say is .... I hope the staff I dealt with never have such a deep attachment to someone special or an animal the way I did and be treated how I was while I was going and AM going through this HELL time , instead of being comforted and supported . Reptar deserved way more respect and love than what he got from this office , he was nothing but loving to them and a senior boy in his last days . My heart is beyond shattered . Gutted .
