Even when I mentioned that I wanted her to work on my shoulder, she went there for a stint and moved about her business to resume her normal programming. What was the most troublesome thing for me was the number of times she left the room for a variety of things. At one point, I told her that I didn't want my face and hair massaged so she went and grabbed her phone and stepped out of the room for approximately 5 minutes. She didn't seem mindful of the time that I was paying for. When it came time to tip at the end, she grabbed the cash ($10 for a $40 service) and did not say thank you or show any appreciation. That said, in many 90-minute massages I've had elsewhere, therapists typically spend some time on the entire body and often have the client turn over near the end for head, face, neck, and front shoulder work. This session remained heavily focused on the back and shoulder areas, so I wasn't sure whether that was the therapist's style or simply because of the focus areas I selected. Overall, the massage quality was good and the therapist was skilled.
