I noticed that some other girls with male masseuses had to change into towel robes. They have you put your items and shoes in a basket and they put it in the back room. The massage was super thorough and hit every crevice of my body. It felt like a deep tissue massage - she had lots of strength! You are not in a private room, you only remove your top/shirt (at least that's what they told us, we kept our shorts and leggings on) and they give you a robe. They start off with you sitting up, feet in water, massaging your neck and back. Then they lay you down and do the full body massage. We got males for the massage. They prioritized going here on their vacations or whenever they were in the area. They raved about the price and the quality and has tipped well before. (I can tell you, they now have lost a loyal advocate for their business for how they treated them today). So our party of 4 go in and had a wide variety of experiences. One of us had a good, maybe not amazing, but a good experience and tipped them $10. And their massage therapist was mad that it wasn't enough. I have now seen, from other Yelp reviews, their tip guideline. But as a first-timer who simply missed seeing the signage, that reaction came off as very aggressive and entitled. Two of us had awful experiences. The therapists had been chatty with each other which disturbed the quiet room, took long breaks to go to the back room, didn't ask their desired strength for the massage, burped 3+ instances, and pushed off them to get up. They opted to not tip because the experience was so unprofessional. The therapists chased us outside demanding tip - including the front desk manager. My peers kept explaining that the service was not good therefore they didn't want to tip but they were being harassed to give a tip. Now, I had a great experience but witnessing how aggressive the therapists were in regards to their tipping makes me scared to come back or recommend the experience to anyone. The ambience throws me off since it's a shared room with lots of other ppl getting massages. It did make me a bit uncomfortable having to undress in front of other ppl - both men & women. My masseuse was either too strong or too soft in his technique, like the massage was choppy instead of "smooth and relaxing". Then the following week, I came back and tried a different guy but it was not good, not because of the massage but because the girl at the front kept coming to talk to him while he's massage my back. I could hear her whispering to him, she came over 6 freaking times and I was about had it, then he got up and left, he didn't went to get something, he went to the front to talk to her for a while, when I looked up, he was coming from the front. After that I didn't enjoy the massage and if she comes over one more time, i ain't tipping him shit. She didn't come over but he shorted me 15 minutes because a large group came in and they needed my bed, I didn't even put my T-shirt on yet and the lady just yanked the sheets off the bed while I was still sitting. They speak good English when you pay for a massage but when something is missing, they don't speak English lol if you lose something valuable and want it back, do what most people do, threaten to call the cops. Trust me, they will scramble around pretending to look for your items and then it suddenly appears. Not all of them are like that but most of them are undocumented immigrants who are greedy and uncertified masseuse/masseur. And you better tip them $20 per hour or you'll get their stink eye and smack talking in their language, also they will remember you the next time you come back, no body will want to massage you and you'll get a half ass massage.
