Came here on a Sunday morning and they were pretty empty. My husband and I came for a 1 hr massage and it was only $50 a person. It wasn't luxurious but the room had a very relaxing feel. My husband loved how the masseuse didn't talk to each other while working as some places have masseuses that loves to chitchat. Usually I go to Venus for a full body massage but this might be my new go to. One thing they do different is they use stones to massage you and not just rest the weight on you. Already included in the price and not an add on! They do not soak your feet with warm water first or offer tea at the end. I'm not sure if that could be added. The menu for services only had amount of time wanted. I also had a cough attack during the massage and they went and got water for me right away. The host and masseuse were all so kind. I accepted the tea at the end and it really hit the spot so I'd highly suggest to accept the free tea even if you don't normally like tea. Room Condition: The massage beds were old and lined with towels that looked like they hadn't been washed or moved in years. The sheets they put on you are very thin. I was very cold throughout the massage. Massage Quality: Standard Chinese Massage Routine. My lady however was not very firm in the back areas, but that pressure worked really well on my limbs ... the quad and leg massage didn't hurt and the arm and hand massage hit the spot. My 2 hour massage only cost $100 dollars plus the tip! My massage therapist was Kelly, and she was amazing!!! I tipped her $40 dollars! If my MT's are good, I tip them $20 per hour! Being pregnant, she was great about making me comfortable, getting a pillow for me to put between my knees and doing the massages while I laid on my side. She had strong fingers and did great on my legs and feet, where I asked her to focus because of leg cramps I was having near the end of third trimester. The $45 for 1 hr massage includes hot stones, which was very relaxing. I've been to another place for $35 for 1 hr but the rooms and environment were not as nice. The facilities here are nice and clean - for the last part of the massage, she was able to lift up the table so I could sit up comfortably. They have a large air purifier in the room, which had 3 beds just for myself and my 2 friends. Their community area in the middle is closed at this time. My masseuse this time was Ryan. I didn't mind the rough massage, but this one was a little angry. I got the impression he was having a bad day, when he threw the towel on my back, as if he were throwing it onto a table. Then later when he would pick up each arm and leg to massage them, then drop them down without warning, hitting the table with a loud thump. I've been here a dozen times and have never had any issues. In fact, I knew that something was wrong bc the other masseuses have never done that before. They usually place each limb down gently.. and not dropping them a foot off the ground. He also pressed down on my forehead so hard, he left a mark. I began to think, maybe he's mad at me? Like I hurt someone in his family? He also had ear buds in the entire team so he missed all the painful cues when I asked him to be more careful around certain areas. You know when you feel underappreciated at work, so you take it out on your work? That's the kind of IDGAF massage I got today. I'm not even mad at Ryan. We all have bad days. Afterwards I told the front desk, out of concern, that Ryan must be "having a bad day".. and he said "oh people always request him.." and I'm sure they do.. but I was hoping you could check with him to see if he's OK. Maybe he just needs a break. There was another appt after us and I hope Ryan got all his aggression out.. or that person's in for a long night. read more

Favorite asian massage at the moment.. I found this place on Yelp after learning that my favorite spot hasn't been living up to its hype and other places were booked out. I like that this place usually isn't too busy and it is pretty clean in their communal room. They have private rooms as well for an additional $5 I think. For a standard hour massage in their open room is $25 per person. My favorite masseuse is David. He is the best! He always does my shoulders the way I like and my massages are always amazing. What an amazing place! Located on Brookurst and McFadden, right betwee the CVS and the Italian restaurant, Lotus Spa it's a jem in that small shopping center. I have been coming here often for the past year and so far no disagreements. Well at first it was all about trial and error but once we found not only the correct service and the magical hands I was sold. Previously we (my bestie and I) used to attend another close by spa but after so many bad experiences and the continuous chances to the business we knew we needed to look around, and that's when we found this little place. It's a but more costly but sooo very much worth it! Best recommendation is to first try out the $30 hr of reflexology, the area is clean and quiet regardless of being in the middle of the room where it is also an open area. The therapist are so cautious about the exposure that after the first 5 minutes the nerves for being in that area just fade away with the massage. When feeling a bit more generous try the $50 hot stone massage, it's in a private room and with a bit more time that the regular one. So worth the extra $20! The bathrooms are another great highlight, I think. The are clean and even with a shower, I personally never used them but I'm sure is for that quick oil rinse off when headed back out to work or just out. Overall a great spot to come in and relax! Massage table I received was hard wood with a thin layer of cushion. Overall massage was just okay. The masseuse mainly used her forearm rather than her actual hands. Finally when paying, the man in the front charges you before your actual massage and if your paying with card, there will be an option to tip. I advised I would tip after since it would be based on my experience. After the massage, which I thought was extremely average, I decided to tip 15% but the owner was insistent I round up the tip to an even $10 which was slightly over 20%. He argued and I had to literally scribble out my previous tip after being overly pressured. I've never had a business directly demand more tip especially over 15%.
