Basic fried rice.
Nakita K.

I ordered take out from here in hopes to enjoy a wonton soup. I'm very sorry to say the soup was not good. The wonton wraps were too thick, they were filled with only pork (no ginger, shrimp, or green onion) and were definitely too salty. I also ordered a side of veggies and fried rice (mandatory.) I'm not a fan of the fried rice they have because it's essentially the version that has the frozen mixed vegetables, whereas I like more fresh, full veggies in mine. But I had to pick a rice. The veggies I ordered as a side were okay. Nothing special, drowned in the sweet sauce. Mostly broccoli. The food was hot and well packaged, so that's a plus. But, overall I ordered this meal for the soup and unfortunately I was disappointed.

It was a Friday. It was my last full day of my trip. I had been working in my hotel. It was lunch time. I needed to fetch some grub. I did a search on my Uber Eats app. I found Golden Wok. I was in Eagan and so was this restaurant. I continued my quest for decent Chinese food. I got the following items: - Shrimp with lobster sauce, with an egg roll and Diet Coke - Steamed dumplings (8) The estimated pickup time was fifteen minutes. It was perfect for me to leave the hotel and drive over. This eatery is in a plaza. I had no problem finding it. I parked steps away from the entrance and walked in on a rainy day. It felt like a mom-and-pop shop when I walked it. It felt homey. A man said that he'd be with me shortly. There was another man waiting for his food. The man got his food first. I then showed my pickup details on my phone. I got my food in a paper bag, with a plastic bag over it. I thanked him and left. I got a combo special. I ate everything back at my hotel room. I had the egg roll first. It was crunchy and had a decent amount of veggie filling. I liked it. My Diet Coke was cold. Nice! I had the dumplings next. They were small with little filling in each one. I frankly don't know if it was pork or chicken. It was indistinguishable. It came with dipping sauce that made them taste better. I have been enjoying shrimp with lobster sauce on fried rice from New China in Rochester. It has set the bar high. I had this eatery's version on chicken fried rice. It is definitely not as good at New China's version. What made this dish disappointing was the number of imitation crab chunks that accompanied the shrimp. This dish doesn't need fake crab meat. There were six huge shrimp. Don't sacrifice quality with quantity. This dish would have tasted better without the fakeness. The shrimp were done perfectly. The shrimp were generous in size. The sauce needed more flavour. The mixed veggies in this dish were likely from frozen, but I like them. The chicken fried rice was okay. It tasted a bit bland. It needed more of a sear with crispy bits to provide more flavour. Perhaps I need a different dish that I will love more. I will try another dish next time and see how I feel. As for my go-to Chinese place in Eagan, it's still Ho Ting. (135)

Food and service both reliably good. Spice is easily adjusted for more or less Minnesotan palates.

Customer service was rude, cream cheese wontons underdone, and rice tastes like it was cooked in dish water. Won't order here again.

They were super busy for takeout while we were there dining in. So don't plan on eating here if the tables are full. The food was hot!!! I love my food steaming hot! Flavors were great!! Pho was a bit sweet. I would pass on that next time. Chow fun was one of the best I've ever had. Lemongrass chicken was really good and not easily available at other places so I would go back just for that. Chicken wings were so hot and crispy! We ordered them spicy but they were not spicy. The sauce was more sweet and sour. Ask for chili oil but be careful and only use a little because that is spicy! They do not have tap water, bottles available for purchase.

I was not a fan of the cream cheese wontons, as the outside used was too thick. The servers were quick and accommodating to our drink requests & cleaning up our finished plates. Beverages are included which was nice. I love getting hot tea. The restaurant was clean & well taken care of. I would bring cash to tip your server with at your table. After paying, you can seat yourself anywhere and a server will come by and take your beverage order. The buffet includes unlimited soft drinks, drip coffee, and hot tea. Their Dr. Pepper is extra syrupy compared to normal fountain drinks, would recommend! Throughout the meal, the server will clear your empty plates and at the end of the meal they will drop off fortune cookies and towelettes. Crab days are Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. During these days they serve lil crabs. There is also a build your own noodle station where you can choose your mix-ins and sauces, and they'll fry it up for you. The fried rice is solid and the garlic toast is shockingly really good. Food is pretty fresh and warm, and there are people constantly refilling trays and cleaning the buffet.

We grabbed seats at their tiny 4-seat bar, which turned out to be the perfect spot for the evening. The service was fantastic from start to finish with everyone on the staff attentive, warm, and friendly. We went all-in and ordered the Potsticker Feast ($95): two of every kind of potsticker they make, plus all four dipping sauces, Ribeye Noodles, Korean Wings, General Tso's Chicken, and House Cucumbers. The potstickers were awesome but given the name of the place I was surprised that the real standouts were the other dishes. The ribeye was perfectly marinated and tender, tossed with a variety of vegetables and stir-fried noodles. The wings were terrific and the General Tso's was perfect. Don't sleep on the cucumbers either...smoky, spicy, and sweet, with peanuts and sauce. My favorite potstickers were the Beef & Carrots and the Kimchi Pork. If you're looking for scratch-made Asian fusion with great hospitality, Potsticker is hard to beat.

The server was very friendly and informative, even joked around with us a little. It didn't look like reservations were needed, except maybe on busy days like Mother's Day. The food was amazing. Potstickers were, of course, super good, but so was everything else. Portions were generous. I got the pork belly fried rice and I think I have enough leftovers for another three or four meals. There is a small parking lot in back, but you have to walk around the building to get to the door. I would say it is not handicapped friendly. If you park in back it would be hard to get to the door unless you are able to make it half way around the block. If you park in front it is just street parking. My dad uses a walker and we were lucky enough to get a spot right in front of the restaurant, anything else would have been a problem. Spacing inside the restaurant is pretty tight as well. Once dad sat down they had to take his walker into the back because there was no room in the seating area. We were packed in pretty tightly and very close to the table next to us. Overall, delicious food! We will be back!

She seated us in a roomy booth and immediately brought us some waters. We ordered a the fried dumplings and the sesame balls. Both were absolutely delectable, best of each I've had in my life. The sesame balls had a crispy sesame coated exterior with a sticky bun interior and sweet bean filling. The fried dumplings were perfectly cooked to delicate perfection and were accompanied by a soy sauce with freshly minced garlic. Those didn't last 2 minutes on the table. We ordered the twice cooked pork and stirfry lamb as entrees and, as other reviews have said, the portions were generous. As for the the meats, they were thinly sliced, tender, and cooked to perfection. The spice level was right on point, not enough to numb your tastebuds but surly will leave you with clear sinuses. The spice contributed significantly to the succulent flavors found in each dish. Each entree comes with a bowl of buttery white rice. As a man of high caloric intake I was very satisfied with this establishment's CPD factor. As a genuine touch, there is heartfelt apology for rising prices due to rising ingredient cost and bird flu found at the bottom of each menu. 10/10 will eat again.

I ordered the Stir Fry Spicy Beef, Mapo Tofu, and the Pork Belly. Everything was tasty and have no complaints as far as the actual flavors. I do think that the Mapo Tofu should always be soft tofu rather than firm, but that's just a personal preference. The beef was plentiful and extra tender and the pork belly was perfectly melt-in-your-mouth, so good that I felt like I had to ration it throughout the next few meals. I do wish it came with more rice. I ordered three sides and only got one box of rice. I was hoping to have at least two so I can eat it for several days. However, to end on a positive note, when I walked in to pick up my order, the woman (owner possibly) was incredibly friendly and spoke Mandarin to me. She was welcoming, funny, and we briefly argued how spicy food should really be for it to be enjoyable. "The spicier the better," me thinks. Come show these guys some love!
