    Cute plates!

I was super impressed with the choices on the menu and it was hard to decide! We started with roasted asparagus with bernaise sauce & roasted Brussels sprouts and they were cooked perfectly and so tasty! My friend enjoyed her salmon prepared with miso and served on top of her choice of side, mashed cauliflower. They also have mix n match sliders pulled pork, cheeseburgers, drop pork, and chicken. I had cheeseburgers and they were perfect. The waitstaff was attentive and really nice, they let notices we drank water fast and brought us big glasses and a pitcher! The vibe there is classy and chill, good music, and a really cool looking bar! We made a reservation for 8pm on Saturday night and it was definitely needed unless you want to sit at the bar or the community table.

The ambiance and crowds are fantastic, but the food failed to impress, unfortunately. Everything was very hearty with quality ingredients, but the menu lacked that fresh pop of flavor. Salads were smothered in dressing. Butternut squash soup did not even taste like butternut. Overall - a great place to go out and crowd watch, but not necessarily a culinary delight. Cocktails on the other hand were awesome. We'd pick this place for an evening date with some appetizers and cocktails

Seen that they had an espresso martini flight on social media and wanted to check it out with a friend. We did make reservations for 4pm, which is when they open for dinner/HH. They were also running a specials menu as well. We found out the flight was a limited time but the waiter told us they can still make a few of the variations for us. I got a raspberry one, tasted like chocolate covered raspberries, very interesting. We did order a few apps (which some were on the hh specials), we got the burnt ends cauliflower, truffle fries and fried pickles. The cauliflower was good, very unique, loved the bbq sauce on it. Fried pickles were also good, light batter, which I love, came with ranch and sriracha mayo (I think). The truffle fries weren't the greatest/my favorite but I'll eat potatoes in any form so I won't complain. Restaurant decor was nice, super cute. Service was great! We were checked on often by our waiter as well as other staff members (management), everyone was nice and welcoming!! When we first got there it wasn't too busy but it did start getting busy around 5. I'd recommend reservations.

What a lovely, cozy, and just-quiet-enough brunch space! All 3 breakfast benedict(s) my party ate were amazingly flavorful. The portion sizes were perfect, not to forget the Gouda cheesy hash-browns *chefs kiss* Service was attentive and pleasant; our food came out blazin' fast and hot. Our drinks were good - never have we seen a bloody come with a full hardboiled egg! We will be back! * shopping mall parking lot * mix of bar, high top, low top, and booth seating

Cute vintage vibe! Great for groups, bar seating, date night, girls night, family get together Seating: Indoor/Outdoor seating Bar seating Happy hour: Mon-Thurs 4-6pm, Friday 4-5:30pm, Saturday-Sunday 2-4pm See pics for food! I got the cauliflower burnt ends. They were delicious. Perfect amount of crispiness and flavor. The Bloody Mary was tasty! Got a beef stick, olive, lemon and lime. Not too spicy but can ask for spicy if you'd like! Good service. We sat on the patio. The only downfall was we asked if they could put the hanging lights on but they said they were broke. We also asked for a heater, which was right next to our table, and they said they had no propane. 1 location: Eagan and Golden Valley coming soon Free parking lot Website: https://kitchenandrail.com/

We came in with no reservations but was able to sit right away in the couch area. This was actually good since it was private. The food was good. Enjoyed the meatballs, the salsa di parma, salmon and definitely the cake! It was moist and definitely a must! The team members were so nice and friendly. The place is not too loud. I will definitely come back whenever I'm in town.

Our experience here was mixed. We visited on a Saturday at suppertime. The food was spectacular--out fast and delicious. Our service, however, was shoddy. Our server was incredibly harried, always out of breath and abrupt as she infrequently checked on us, and we were never asked if we wanted more drinks. We speculated that she had too many tables to manage and was just having a rough night. But onto the positive aspect: the food! We shared Kitchen and Rail's famous meatballs as an appetizer. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, the sauce thick and savory. My husband had the Vietnamese Pork Belly, which he found delicious and pleasantly spicy, while I had the perfectly cooked Pan Seared Duck. The amount of food was great, too, filling without being overkill. We're not sure if we would come here again, as there are several other restaurants in the immediate area that look interesting. I'm glad we got to try the food, though.

I made reservations and couldn't get the time I wanted so I chose the 5pm time slot. It ended up being perfect. It was happy hour until 6 so we ended up getting a reserve glass of wine for $7 while we chatted. For dinner, I chose the Blacked Roughy with root veggies and it was delicious. Loved the bit of crisp on the fish and the veggies were a nice contrast in texture to the fish. My meal came to the table nice and hot. The others at our table also thought their meals were delicious. I stole a few fries from Husband and they were amazing. I'd come back just for the fries and happy hour but I can't wait to try another option on the menu. The restaurant is in a strip mall but inside there were booths and tables which made you forget about the mall-effect. Our service was excellent. Great experience.

We came here for Sunday brunch and had a great time! We both ordered the Bloody Mary; it had the best rim salt seasoning I've ever had on a Bloody Mary! Our entrees included the Migas, Creole Benedict, and a side of the Gouda cheese hashbrowns. The Migas was huge, it's easily enough to share between 2 people. Our bartender/waiter was helpful and very nice. There's a large parking lot which makes parking very easy!

Very nice decor and comfortable seating. There were only two other tables of diners when we arrived, yet the service was glacially slow from start to finish. We started off with the Salsa Di Parma, which did not look like the pics from the restaurant at all--it was mostly shredded cheese with spices and a small amount of olive oil at the bottom of the cup that you had to dig for. Good flavor, but still, not as their pictures depict. My husband had the butter chicken, which he really enjoyed, and he offered me a bite and I agreed with him that it was delicious. I went with the pork belly slider and small caesar salad. The slider was tasty, but I can't say when I've ever had a caesar salad that was so bland; their dressing needs a lot of work. If there was a manager, I didn't see one. The workers just didn't seem like they cared. They huddled on the far side of the bar, near the hallway leading to the restrooms. Another diner had to go up to the bar and wait to try and flag someone down for a basket.

I've been here a couple times before, and the food has definitely been better. The service tonight was amazing. The ambience was also amazing, a little bit dark in there, lots of decor on the walls, but totally a vibe. It does get a little bit loud, but it still manageable to hear conversations. We did come at 5:30 on a Thursday, so that could've been why the food was a little off, but overall a pretty good experience!

Perfect for a date night, friend catch-up, or solo Whiskey adventure, Volstead House is a vibe! Pair the atmosphere with top notch, educated bartenders and mixologists...you know you'll be taken care of! We started with the A La Louisiane, a spirit-forward, whiskey cocktail with some funk from Peychauds and Absinthe. It was delicious and well balanced. We also shared the Glazed Carrots and the Parm Fries. The carrots didn't hit for me, as the glaze and sauce lacked a punch of flavor but the fries were crispy and delicious. If you have a spirit enthusiast or someone that likes to explore the world of cocktails, I think this is the perfect vibe!

First off, going through the hidden Coke machine entrance is actually really fun and makes the whole place feel like a little adventure. The decor and speakeasy atmosphere are definitely the standout. Very cool space. VERY loud though. Like "lean across the table and say WHAT?" loud at times. The waitress was super nice and recommended a mocktail for me that called Ass in the Sand. It ended up being really good. It tasted like an elevated lemonade and was probably one of my favorite parts of the meal. Started with the rolls and whipped honey butter which were delicious. Very soft, warm, and honestly dangerous because I could've just kept eating bread all night. For the main meal, I did the Wagyu Burger with Parmesan fries. The burger itself was okay but surprisingly didn't have a ton of flavor outside of the grilled/charred taste. The Parmesan fries were actually the standout for me -- hand cut fries and parmesan fries are just hard to mess up. My partner tried the Mushroom Soup en Croute and wasn't a fan because the mushrooms were blended and he said it lacked flavor. He also had a Steak Taco special using their medallion steak and said even with lime it still needed more flavor. Finished with Crème Brûlée which is always a classic favorite for me and this one was good. Overall: fun experience, cool hidden entrance, great decor, good mocktail and bread, but the actual food menu is pretty limited and the flavors didn't totally wow me for the price. Glad I went and finally crossed it off my list, but probably a one-and-done visit for me.

Named for the state's status as the 32nd to join the Union, the establishment is built around a "Beer Wall"--a self-pour monument to local brewing that promises the drinker ultimate autonomy. It is a large, inviting space, designed for the expansive social ritual of a modern taproom.  The culinary offerings here are a pleasant surprise, rising significantly above the standard "hole-in-the-wall" bar fare. The menu feels intentional rather than an afterthought, providing a solid foundation for the liquid education happening at the taps. One cannot fault the quality of the sustenance or the hospitality of the staff, who remain remarkably friendly despite a recurring operational shadow: the house always seems to be exactly one person short. Each shift carries the palpable energy of a team perpetually running a man down, a testament to their grit but a strain on the overall rhythm of the room. However, the centerpiece of the experience--the self-serve technology--is where the friction lies. While the concept of filling one's own glass is liberating, the digital interface lacks a certain clairvoyance. There is nothing quite so deflating as committing to a pour only to have the keg go "bust" mid-stream, or finding that the tap you've selected is already dry. The system requires a more robust marriage of software and cellar management; the guest should not have to be the one to discover a vacancy in the line. "A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it's better to be thoroughly sure." -- Czech Proverb Union 32 is a noble experiment in craft beer culture, providing a vast playground for the adventurous palate. But until the technology catches up with the inventory, and the roster is filled by that one missing player, it remains a work in progress--even if the beer itself is already a finished masterpiece. And while the crowd might trend older, these people have aged gracefully, maintaining a sense of cool. The story behind Crooners is fantastic. A former teacher, the woman owner made money building health facilities. She fell in love with a piano man on a cruise and built Crooners as a testament to her loving spouse. Sadly, her husband passed away before Crooners came to fruition. Her philanthropic work for developing countries and the indigent is well documented. She has a big heart. This was our first time at Crooners, and to test the waters, we drove up the Sunday evening of Memorial Day weekend to enjoy a R & B lounge singer in the free Maggie's Piano Lounge. While the sightlines at Maggie's are ridiculous (it's used as a holding pen for the bigger venues, and the patrons coming and going block your view), we had a great time. Dave, the vigilant and hard-working manager for all of Crooners, also acts as publicist, and was kind enough to show us the other venues. There isn't a bad seat in the house. Marci was our server, and she covers the rooms like a safety on a football field. How she knows when everyone is ready for another drink, to order, or for the check is magical. The food was good, and the menu covers all tastes. We enjoyed Crooners and will return when the performer matches our taste. Knowing what to expect helps. The Minneapolis metro area is fortunate to have a music venue that caters to music lovers outside the mainstream. Go and support Crooners. You'll enjoy yourself.
