a piece of food left on a cutting board

We love Ming's Garden, however in our last order we received a bit of metal in our chicken and cashews combo special. We have never had this happen before. It was a very thin piece, but it was disheartening to find something in your food that wasn't supposed to be there.

House fried rice, king pao chicken, beef broccoli. Found the metal shard in my kung pao chicken

Got takeout. Found a piece of metal scrubbing pad in my food. Luckily I found it before I ate it. You decide if you want to eat there. If you do eat there, watch out for metal shards in your food. Smfh.

First thing about this place. Order for pickup. DO NOT get the delivery. We live less than a mile away. We've tried to get delivery on several occasions. Every time it took over an hour. One time we had waited two hours and still no food!!! DO NOT get the delivery. Ok, so you're going to pick your food up (eating in is not an option - this is a to-go place one way or another). You call to order.... unfortunately, they do not speak english very well. Not knocking the people, they are very nice. It's just that when you are primarily a to-go joint, and your only interaction with customers is over the phone, it pays to have someone who can communicate clearly taking the orders. You waste less time on the phone, can answer more call, and have more accurate orders so people don't get upset. Anyway, the food is generally average for take out chinese. There are a couple bright spots though. The spicy beef is very, very good if you like a dish with some pop to it. The triple delight is also a tasty and mild dish. The chicken chow mein is not at all like traditional chow mein. It's almost like a salad... chicken on top of shredded vegetables with very little sauce. It's interesting and pretty good as long as you know what to expect (like don't get disappointed it's not traditional chow mein). The prices are a little, and just a little, bit more than they should be. Because it's so close, and because the food is almost always ready within 10 minutes of calling, we keep going back and enjoy the place. Just MAKE SURE you pick the food up and drive out there as soon as you hang up. Once your food is ready, it sits in a paper bag on the counter. They don't have warmers or heat lamps or anything keeping it heated while you wait. You will be disappointed with a bunch of cold food if you wait too long to pickup, or if you are a bonehead and didn't listen to me and get it delivered :-)

Great orange chicken and vegetable fried rice. Fast service, got our order about 10 minutes after ordering. Minimal contact.

Food is always so good, everything on their menu is a good portion of food. Their combos are good for feeding a good house party of people!

The takeout fried rice was below average, and the fried shrimp appetizer wasn't even deveined with half of it being just batter.

The restaurant is spacious and can easily accommodate larger groups of people. The food is from what I remember has been consistent and delicious, the only thing that's notable changed is the price, which can be on the pricier side nowadays unfortunately. This time around I took a small group of friends here and ordered some of my favorites. The peking style pork chop is a classic here, deep fried and moist with a sweet and sour sauce. The best part about this dish is that there's no bones either (unlike some of the other pork dishes). The beef chow fun is what I believe the best beef chow fun in MN. It's so freaking good I think you just have to try it for yourself. Another classic starter dish I got was the seafood tofu soup. Hot, thick seafood soup with tofu is refreshing to start with, and when you top it off with a dash of white pepper it gets even better. The fried oysters are a recent addition to my favorites; cripsy without too much fishiness/oceanic flavor, and also very meaty. The batter and salt/pepper onion flavoring is also very strong and pairs well with the oysters. And lastly I usually get some sort of vegetable. This time around I got the yu choi in garlic sauce, which was clean and just tender enough to add a nice bite of fresh veggie to our meal. I would also recommend the achoy or chinese brocolli if you're into that as well. They also give you a free dessert of what I think is taro tapicoa soup? Either way it's a nice sweet treat to end the meal on.

Worth the long wait. Peking duck is incredible. Well priced meals with good portions. Friendly…read moreservice staff. Love the pond inside the restaurant. Will keep visiting!

We grabbed seats at their tiny 4-seat bar, which turned out to be the perfect spot for the evening. The service was fantastic from start to finish with everyone on the staff attentive, warm, and friendly. We went all-in and ordered the Potsticker Feast ($95): two of every kind of potsticker they make, plus all four dipping sauces, Ribeye Noodles, Korean Wings, General Tso's Chicken, and House Cucumbers. The potstickers were awesome but given the name of the place I was surprised that the real standouts were the other dishes. The ribeye was perfectly marinated and tender, tossed with a variety of vegetables and stir-fried noodles. The wings were terrific and the General Tso's was perfect. Don't sleep on the cucumbers either...smoky, spicy, and sweet, with peanuts and sauce. My favorite potstickers were the Beef & Carrots and the Kimchi Pork. If you're looking for scratch-made Asian fusion with great hospitality, Potsticker is hard to beat.

The scallion pancakes were super crispy, the Szechuan dumplings had a LOT of garlic + chili oil (in the best way), and the Shanghai pork buns were juicy and full of flavor. The pork belly was braised perfectly with tasty bok choy, while the farm pork was a classic stir-fry with just the right amount of spice. Everything came with a generous amount of rice too! Definitely a spot I'd come back to with 4+ people so you can order a bunch of dishes, get quick service, and share everything family-style.

Extremely Disappointing -- Save Your Money…read more I honestly don't understand how Tea House gets rated as a top place. From the outside appearance and lack of upkeep to the service and, most importantly, the food, the entire experience was disappointing. The service was odd, the staff didn't seem very familiar with the menu, and there were several misses that made the experience even less enjoyable. The food itself was mediocre at best--and honestly, some of it was just bad. Then came the bill: over $75 plus tip for three people, with two lunch specials and three drinks. For what we received, the price was absolutely ridiculous. For me, this was a hard pass. The food wasn't worth the money, the service wasn't impressive, and the overall experience left a lot to be desired. Don't waste your time, and especially don't waste your money.
