Gross ass gym. Sauna door broken. Shit all over the locker room and smells like literal poop. Everything's broken and doesn't get fixed for about 5 months.

Lovin' the JACUZZI

I am a swimmer but I was unable to swim today because of the temperature of the pool. Therefore, it was kind of a day off at the gym so I I decided to do a 30 minute jacuzzi although the temperature of the Jacuzzi was way down also.. But all in all everything still was beautiful. The Jets in the jacuzzi were wonderful still and a few other people were doing a Jacuzzi also and there was a great social conversation and then on in to hit the showers.. The atmosphere in golds is what's so terrific. There is so much energy and so much enthusiasm by everyone attending and that's the beauty of attending Gold's gym.. everyone is so into their health regiments that make for a powerful atmosphere. Everyone is so into it. There is so much powerful energy in the main Bay as you walk through so I say in a sense the worst workout of just a Jacuzzi can become the best just by showing up. Thanks, GOLDS

Ask the Community - Gold's Gym

As a senior citizen, are your men's showers private?

Is there a separate sauna/steam room for men and women?

Since the men's lockerroom has both a sauna and a steam room, I'm assuming it's the same for the women.

Any chance the hours will change? I miss the old hours when you used to close at midnight on weekdays and 9pm on weekends. These hours are a real inconvenience and I think most people would agree. Other than that, everything is absolutely perfect

Hi Kishan! Our current hours are temporary. We hope to be back to regular operating hours soon!

Is the kids club open?

Hi Samantha. Kid's Club is not open at this time.

Why the pool heathers is not working ? This is the 3rd time duh int this year !!!

Hello, We do apologize, we are working on the repairs as it was multiple pieces that needed to be…

With the COVID-19 Reopening, is the pool open for use? If so, what are the precautions that will need to be taken? If not, is there an estimate for when it will be?

Hello! Thank you for asking. At this time the pool is open but the jacuzzi, steam room and suana are closed. We allow 2 people per lane swimming. Anyone outside the pool must abide by social distancing with a mask on. Please see our page for more…

Is this location franchise or corporate ? I heard they filed bankruptcy

Hello Dawn, We are a franchise and we are ready to open as soon as the state mandate allows us to.…

Anybody know if there is a Golds Gym planned near Woodland Hills? If so I recommend it. There is certainly a merket for. (The other gyms there are not state of the art, most of them very run down and dirty, hardly any to be recommended.)

Good Afternoon! Thank you for your question, we will be opening a location in the San Fernando…

If I could rate this place a ZERO a I would. A few days ago I came to join the gym here and signup…read morewith my Active & Fit Membership. I have never regretted a decision so quickly. Upon arrival on Saturday, the manager on duty was cleaning up the office and did greet me. However, from then on it became an interaction of pure negativity and criticism about the Active & Fit program. Despite introducing myself right away and stating I wanted to signup, the manager NEVER introduced myself and seemed cantankerous almost like he didn't want to be there. I pulled up my Active & Fit membership info and provided my DL right away. However, the manager decided a better use of his time would be to criticize the Active & Fit program/membership for the next (5) minutes. Instead of him selling me on the gym, the experience and/or what I wanted to get from this location, he proceeded to condemn, criticize and complain about Active & Fit nonstop in between me confirming my info. Initially I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he didn't have his morning coffee, but as he trudged through his cantankerous commentary, it became obvious he detested and despised the program saying it "costs the gym money if you're not serious and don't attend." After lambasting, and being highly critical of the Active & Fit membership, he actually had the guts to look me in the eye and state, "You will have to pay fees to workout here and you'll have to pay. There is a signup fee." NEVER did he ever discuss or disclose the benefits of choosing this gym at all. I immediately requested my ID back and demanded he erase all my information before leaving his office. After watching him delete my information I couldn't believe what I had witnessed. In my entire professional career, he was easily one of the worst managers I've had the displeasure of working with and couldn't believe he was an actual manager. How do you mess up an easy sign up like he did? Even if I disagreed with a vendor I would NEVER openly criticize and condemn them in front of a potential client. You never know who someone may be. I voiced these frustrations to the "manager" and said you shouldn't do that ever in front of a customer, client, and/or potential one even if you disagree or may be having a bad day. The saddest part was, the manager didn't refute my commentary and suggestions. He literally looked dumbfounded and it makes sense why there wasn't that much activity in the gym. And yes I did notify Active & Fit about my interaction with this specific location.

2.5 stars, rounded up because the manager is super friendly and helpful…read more Meh. I was excited that this would be as awesome as the Vista location, but sadly, it was not. While it has enough equipment to get in a decent workout, the selection is seriously lacking. This gym doesn't have the showers in the individual restrooms, or the same equipment on the turf (no mirror, no tank, no bumper plates/bar), only has like 1 of each of a few sizes of kettlebell, actually it does not have a good weight selection overall for dumbbells, barbells or bumper plates either. There's 1 plyo box that you can flip around for different heights. Yesterday was my hip thrusting day and I had to drag everything over from one of the squat racks to the turf. Imagine people's disappointment when they approach a squat rack that nobody is using only to learn that the equipment is gone.... At least the power racks are separated here (in Vista they face each other lol). But, the one I used wasn't adjustable and I was in between notches for my squat. Um, there is a mirrored studio for classes here, which would be nice to stretch in. Overall, since my insurance covers all my gym memberships, I will sign up for either 24 Hr Fitness, Crunch, Fitness 19 or the Gold's Gym next time I'm in the area. Pros: - lots of parking - friendly - open 24 hours - a few bands and toys (ab wheel, yoga blocks, etc) - actual individual flat screen tvs on walls for cardio equipment Cons: - meh machines and equipment - not a good weight, plate or kettlebell selection - turf area small, no mirrors there,

Strike 2 - I scheduled a session on the app , we show up and was told by the trainer himself he did not see our reservation and needed to re-schedule. He re-scheduled us through my app and confirmed the session on his end. My son had his 1st session. Strike 3 - Scheduled another session on the app, called the gym the day of the session to confirm, we show up, wait 15 minutes while our trainer is goofing off, I tell the front desk, our trainer comes to us and tell us he did not see our reservation and re-scheduled us again. Strike 4- We now have a 30 minute session scheduled but I added another 30 minutes on the app to equal a 1 hour session to just get it over with as I am now annoyed. My son and I show up, we wait 15-20 minutes for our trainer as he is with another person, he finally comes to greet us and I tell him I added the 30 minutes and he said he cannot due to having another person scheduled then he says he will make it work. He goes off with my son, after 25 minutes my son calls me saying the trainer had to re-schedule the other 30 minutes (i am mad now). We continue to work out for 20 minutes and as we are walking out I see the damn trainer is goofing off at the front desk !!!! No respect for our time. Thank goodness I found EOS gym near by.

I visited the gym on the evenings of April 28 and April 29, 2026, and wanted to share some concerns…read moreabout cleanliness and staff responsiveness. On April 28, I was greeted by a staff member who was very pleasant. However, at the end of my workout, I used the women's restroom and was surprised by how dirty it was. There were clumps of hair on the floor near the showers, dirty mirrors, overflowing trash in the stalls, and toilet paper and seat covers scattered across the floor. I brought this to the attention of the staff member at the front desk, understanding he was the only employee on duty and likely unable to leave the desk unattended. On April 29, I was not greeted upon arrival, despite two associates being at the front desk. After my workout, I checked the restroom again and found it in even worse condition than the previous night. I spoke with Myah at the front desk and explained how unsanitary the restroom was. Her response was "Oh we have been short staffed, there seems to be some sort of epidemic plaguing the gym, sorry I will stop going on with my monologue. " While I understand that staffing challenges happen, it was concerning to see two associates at the desk, just chatting away and one on her phone while the facility, particularly the restroom, was in such poor condition. I've noticed that morning staff consistently maintain cleanliness, which raises the question of whether evening staff are being held to the same standards. Additionally, I understand that the regional manager, Miranda, is frequently present in the mornings tasking the morning staff with significant cleaning lists. It may be beneficial for this manager to also work evening shifts and observe operations to ensure consistency in cleanliness and accountability across all shifts. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for all members, as maintaining a clean and sanitary environment is essential since there are so many gyms in Simi Valley. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Drew, the instructor is amazing. He is one of the best fitness instructors I've ever had. Not the brightest bulb in the box. If you're considering joining this gym at $60 month, I urge you to think twice before wasting your time and money. While it may try to present itself as a legitimate fitness center, the reality is quite different. There are no pools or jacuzzis, and the sauna and shower area are not only small but also lack cleanliness. The lighting is reminiscent of the dull 1970s, which does nothing to uplift your energy levels. The overhead fans continuously spin at full speed, seemingly regardless of the temperature, which is typically kept warm for the convenience of the staff at the check-in desk. Unfortunately, this just stirs up dust and dirt, leaving you with itchy eyes and sinus discomfort. The TVs are sporadic and often display nothing more than screensaver videos of cities or local shows, which feels out of place for a gym that should be fostering an energetic atmosphere. Joining this gym feels more like visiting grandma or being part of a bingo club than a vibrant fitness community. Even their trainers are geriatric. At $60 a month, this is simply not worth it. You deserve a place that truly values your health and fitness journey.

I am incredibly frustrated with my experience at the Orange Theory Studio in Simi Valley,…read moreparticularly due to the manager, Bri Diaz's, lack of sympathy for individuals with disabilities. Despite my ongoing health issues and an emergency trip to care for my sick daughter, Bri failed to show any understanding or flexibility. Instead of accommodating my situation, she provided me with a package of 24 classes, which felt more like a charity gesture rather than a genuine effort to meet my needs. I was charged $179 per month, and it took me months to realize the extent of these charges while I was unable to attend due to my illness. When I confronted her about the charges, she offered the 24-class package as a "courtesy," but I had already expressed that I wasn't ready to return. I expected her to show some compassion and provide flexibility, considering my circumstances. After attending only five classes, I found out that my membership had expired, leaving me extremely disappointed and angry. The lack of support and understanding for those with disabilities is unacceptable, and I feel that my concerns were not taken seriously. I am contemplating legal action due to the mishandling of my situation. I cannot recommend this studio to anyone who needs empathy and support in their fitness journey.
