Soooooo gooooood! Oh my gosh, the honey pastry was absolutely incredible! It felt like I plucked a cloud from the sky and sandwiched it between two delicious, buttery cookies it was like taking a bite of heaven. So fluffy and tasty, I can't even find the right words to describe how amazing these pastries are! Everyone needs to try them. Some were brought into the clinic I work at, and we all shared them everyone was blown away! I can't speak for the service since I didn't go into the store, but those pastries? To die for! The chocolate one was also unreal. These unique flavors were unlike anything I've ever had, and now I'm craving them again. I just wish they stayed open later so I could swing by and grab some on my way home!

Goldstar Bakery has an incredible selection of pastries at extremely affordable price points! I've been a couple times, this time for cakes - all of which were about $2.50 a slice. Next time I'd go straight for the Chocolate Ganache as the rest were fairly dry but had good flavors. All the pastries are phenomenal, and the traditional breads are perfect for snacking and charcuterie. I'd absolutely recommend for a snack or special occasion! Parking is plentiful and the staff are prompt, so know what you want when you get to the counter.

I'm coming back for every birthday from here on out. THIS will be my birthday bakery! I'm always on the lookout for a place with beautiful cakes at prices that actually make sense (because let's be real, some bakeries are truly overcharging for a plain vanilla cake with drip drizzle on the side...). In my quest for cake, I came across this gem! I'm so happy I did! First impression: I went to their website and was unsure if what I wanted qualified as a "custom cake" and time was of the essence. I gave the bakery a call to explain what I wanted and how it was a fairly simple concept. It seemed a little confusing on the phone, so I made the effort to go in person. The pastries aligning the case are all so tempting! The smell of delicious bread, coffee, and sweets wafts through the air. They have a nice arrangement of bottled drinks to accompany anything you buy. Don't get me started on the beautiful cakes! But wait let me get started on that ANYWAY... Service: The young lady who assisted me on the phone was incredibly polite, knowledgeable, and eager to help. Those are three benchmarks of quality service and she nailed it before I even walked in the door. When I arrived, I saw a very quaint bakery in a shopping area with ample parking (a blessed sight in LA, and on Sunset at that). I went inside and waited briefly and she recalled our entire phone conversation. We were able to look up the cake I saw online, and she told me it would be a simple design. It only took about a day to make and it was ready ahead of time! Food: Naturally, one goes to a bakery to secure the cake of their birthday dreams. But one must also test out the other baked goods the business has. I hadn't had a cream puff in so long, but it was literally yelling at me from the glass case. So I had to let it free and trap it in my stomach. SO LIGHT, SO FLUFFY, SO HUGE! It was pure love! The CAKE?! YALL! LISTEN! It felt like biting into the dreamiest, lightest, softest with slight give, Oreo. It melted in your mouth and had layer upon layer or Oreo goodness. It was the perfect cake and my son absolutely adored it (I decorated with Roblox because of course). Overall, I will be back! Thank you so much Goldstar for making my son's birthday a success! Excellent service all around!

First time here, the prices are amazing! The shortbread cookies are so good, they melt in your mouth, I'm not even sure how that's possible! The baklava is delicious and not too sweet and there's this delicious vegan flatbread that exceeded my expectations. The place itself gives a family owned/small business ambiance. Plenty of workers present to answer questions too. Must return to try those roulettes!

Such an amazing bakery! Everything's fresh, delicious, clean, and customer service is excellent. The cashier girls try to help as much as they can and they do a very good job! Gold star bakery makes tasty bread, they bake it fresh every morning! If you come right when they open you can get the bread hot, right from the oven :) Also, you have to try their pastries! My favorites are Mikado, honey pastry and Male ideal. They do a great job decorating their cakes for a very reasonable price! If I ever need to order a custom cake, it's gonna be the first bakery I'll go to! Everything's well priced and of the highest quality. Can't recommend enough!

I ordered my daughter's birthday cake with them and wow it was worth it. Cake was so moist and the cake itself was beautiful.

Here's a helpful tip: The bank next door allows 10 minutes of parking if you use their ATM and keep your receipt. There is security in the lot, so be sure to have your receipt as proof of the time. It's more than enough time to run next door and grab your treats. I ordered a slice of the lemon loaf, a gluten-free cookie, and the classic chocolate chip cookie. The lemon loaf slice is huge, I'd say it's the equivalent of two slices, so it's definitely big enough to share. As for the cookies, Levain is known for making them thick and rich. A small piece goes a long way, making them perfect for savoring over a couple of days (if you have that much self-control!). The moment you walk inside, you're greeted by the incredible aroma of freshly baked pastries, and the service was warm and welcoming. I truly think everyone should experience a Levain cookie or pastry at least once. It's worth the visit!

I also tried the pistachio croissant and asparagus danish this time round and both were extremely good as well. I would have no qualms with re-ordering either. The only note is the pistachio cream is pretty runny, so it's hard to cut and share, as the cream just oozes out. The workers there are super friendly and kind. I got a sausage bbang, a chocopie, and a dalgona latte. The sausage bbang was soggy on the bottom and honestly tasted like it was from the day before. The chocopie barely had any filling, just a thin layer of marshmallow and jam. It honestly felt like they used most of the marshmallow for their Dubai choco cookie because it's probably more profitable, instead of properly filling the chocopie. If that's the case, it's better not to sell it at all than serve something like that. The dalgona latte was also disappointing. With ice, the drink only filled to the bottom third line of the cup marking. Clearly, they skimped on the milk. There was also a weird moment when I paid.
