Sweet! Now this is a spot that lives up to the HYPE! We got there a bit later in the morning and had to wait in a small line. The pastries were fantastic, gooey, flaky, fresh, authentic and house made. I would love to visit again if I was in LA. I got a variety I split with my brother and enjoyed them. Our favs were probably the Passionfruit or the Elderflower Rubarb. If you have never had fresh, non industrial/store-bought croissants these are going to rock your world. The prices and freshness are fantastic. I expected to pay more than what we did and these are reasonably priced. There isn't really a lot of parking so be prepared to park elsewhere. The inside is small and fills up fast and there isn't much seating inside or out. They have other things like matcha and other items as well. I encourage you to try a few items as some were better than others, but I have no major complaints!
Chorizo Quiche: Delicious!! Fluffy and flavorful. Had good proportions of chorizo, potato and cheese so that it wasn't too heavy but just filling enough. Ham and Gruyere Croissant: Fluffy, crispy, airy croissant. Kind of a basic ham and cheese but the croissant makes it a worthy breakfast choice. Iced Honey Latte: Regular iced coffee, nothing special. Would not get a drink again and focus on the yummy pastries which are more worth the price imo. Parking/ ambiance: there is a small shared lot and street parking. There is outdoor seating area which is very cute but quite small. The inside itself is also small with no seating, so plan accordingly when considering to dine there vs take to go. Service: Polite/typical. Was fast for how busy it was. Overall a good breakfast choice, especially considering the variety of pastry options!
5/27/2026 BUTTER CROISSANT Ate it the next day and doctored it up with melted butter, honey, and salt and toasted it in the oven for even more buttery goodness. The croissant was even flakier and the inside layers were still slightly soft and just perfect, even the day after! Deeelicious! HAM & GRUYÈRE CROISSANT (Butter croissant rolled with slices of ham and Gruyère cheese) It was good, wish there was there was more ham & gruyère inside. Nonetheless, the croissant was the star! It was flaky, buttery, crispy perfection! Having said that, get the butter croissant instead! TRIPLE PAIN AU CHOCOLAT Deliciously dark chocolatey! Flaky, buttery, crispy croissant, what more could you want? Loved it with a cup of coffee! Better when you toast in the oven! ORANGE BLOSSOM ALMOND CROISSANT (Crispy twice baked croissant filled with light and silky almond cream studded with bright candied orange pieces, and a smooth, floral orange blossom pastry cream) Flaky, crispy croissant with beautifully floral, full orange blossom flavor! This croissant was beautifully done! I haven't had a pastry that honored orange blossom like this! The almond cream comes through alongside the orange blossom, which complemented each other wonderfully! I love elevated croissants like this! It makes me happy to come to Fondry, knowing they can deliver on all their baked goods! PASSIONFRUIT CROIFFIN (Croissant x Muffin; filled with bright, tangy passionfruit curd, and tart, bouncy passionfruit jelly, topped with a very vanilla chantilly cream) They did not hold back! This was a passionfruit flavor bomb! Sooo good! They did not hold back! The croffin was crispy outside and flaky soft inside. The passionfruit curd was flowing out of the croiffin as you cut it open! Passionfruit heaven! The vanilla chantilly cream was also excellent in flavor! It was so good, I went back to get another! TOFU CLOUD CROISSANT TOAST (Crisp and sweet miso honey butter toasted croissant topped with a cloud-like sweet tofu cream) Crispy, crunchy, deliciously toasted croissant. Can taste the miso and the croissant tasted like burnt caramel. The tofu cream was fluffy and sweet, like whipped cream, but fluffier! The bottom layer tasted like almond frangipane. Such a delight to eat! I regretted not getting a second one! Beautifully done! BLACK SESAME PARISIAN FLAN Not good. Tart was crispy on the outer layers, but underside was soft. The black sesame flavor was there, but it was a muddled flavor, not a clean toasted black sesame flavor. The flan texture was a bit gummy and a bit dense too. FYI: There were some brunch items you can order in person before 11:00am. ONLINE ORDER Encouraged to order online and order in advance if you want specific pastries. I went in person to order on Wednesday morning. There was no line. CUSTOMER SERVICE Smiling and friendly, helpful and welcoming! Staff was amazing and it felt as though you were walking into your neighborhood bakery! My second visit at Fondry has been even better than the first time! PARKING As always parking is sparse on their lot. Come on a weekday if possible and before 11:00am if you want to grab a parking spot on their lot. Came on a Wednesday at 10:30am.
Fondry honestly amazed me! Every single pastry we tried was perfectly made. My favorite was definitely the kouign amann which is kind of like a croissant, but sweeter, richer, and a little more dense. I also loved the mushroom bechamel danish. It was super flavorful and surprisingly filling. For drinks, I got the MVP (matcha vanilla pistachio) and it was delicious too. Overall, such a great bakery that I'd definitely recommend checking out! They have a small parking lot, and if it's full, there should be plenty of street parking nearby (at least when I went right around opening time).

The ham is rolled up and in the center of the croissant, so make sure you bite into it lengthwise to get the ham and cheese all together. Fantastically savory!!! Elderflower Rhubarb: Not as sweet as it appears to be!! Delicious--the elderflower notes come through as you chew, and the ratio of jam to bread is generous. Chocolate Hazelnut Pain au Suisse: Tasty, chocolatey, and hazelnut flavors throughout. Feels like a refined Ferrier Rocher wrapped in bread. Definitely needed water alongside this one because it's quite rich! This was a fun spot to try, and the vibes are beautiful, cozy, and quiet on a weekend morning! All three croissants had an insanely layered bite and excellent crunch/crisp. A bit pricey, but a fun place to try if you're in the mood for nice bread!
Delicious and unique pastries! I've been a couple times and am always impressed by both Fondry's special pastries and seasonal ones. The key is to go on a weekday to avoid the line, as the weekend can definitely get busy. This last time I finally got to try the tofu cream topped croissant, which was ~to die for~. It was a little bit savory with the miso but still (not too) sweet. This felt super original and I would definitely recommend. I also tried the pistachio croissant and asparagus danish this time round and both were extremely good as well. I would have no qualms with re-ordering either. The only note is the pistachio cream is pretty runny, so it's hard to cut and share, as the cream just oozes out. The workers there are super friendly and kind. The drinks are also very good if you're looking to get a little extra treat as well.
Decided to do a pastry walk while staying in Pasadena and had to include Fondry on the list! I visited 2 years ago but the line was so long we decided to come back but didn't realize 2 years later but glad we did ! No line this time on a Wednesday ! We really enjoyed everything we order ! I love their unique flavor infused in their pastries /baked good ! My only regret was not ordering more to try but an excuse for me to come back next time ! staff are so friendly and attentive , darling bakery shop with a good amount of seating outside with shaded area !! That passionfrut KA was just perfect -layer of buttery flakiness with a generious passionfruit curd I also enjoyed their blueberry scones infused with osmanthus tea what perfect combo
Wanted to take advantage of the crowd being at Coachella weekend, so I made the journey to Highland Park to finally try Fondry! Was lucky to find a parking spot in their lot that can only park 6 cars. I arrived around 9:15 AM on a Saturday and there was already a line of 20 people. Waited about 30 minutes to order. They have the menu outside so you can decide what you want in advance. I tried 4 different pastries and one thing I really liked was how it wasn't overly buttery. When I usually eat croissants, it feels greasy, but I didn't get the same feeling from Fondry! Highly recommend their yuzu birthday pastry and the charcuterie danish.
Been eyeing this spot for quite some time. Parking is easy they have a parking lot but very limited space, parking on York Blvd didn't seem to have any restrictions either. Not too sure how weekend parking is, I visited on a Wednesday around noon. Neighborhood residential street might be a good option for parking on Avenue 47 but street sweeping (No Parking) is from 8-10am Wednesday on one side and Thursday on the other side. Orange Blossom Almond Croissant -personally was disgusting, orange blossom was extremely strong. Too fragrant that it tasted like a floral bath bomb or soap. Some do like this but it wasn't for me. Tofu Cloud Croissant Toast -cream on top was pretty salted, to help balance the caramelized sugar that helps press the croissant into a toast. Overall, it wasn't wasn't bad but wasn't good and slightly too salted. Passionfruit Croiffin- texture of the croissant/muffin was great! Buttery, flaky and light. Passionfruit cream filling wasn't too sweet. I loved the tart passionfruit seeds. But you might want to scoop some out if you don't enjoy too much sourness. Elderflower Rhubarb Danish - way too crunchy, would prefer it to be crispy instead of a crunch. Filling was good, not too sweet. Black Sesame Parisian Flan -if you love black sesame, this would be right up your alley. Perfect sweet treat to bring to any auntie's home! Blueberry Tea Scone -not too dense. Surprisingly not too sweet even with the demerara sugar coating. It wasn't really crunchy but more sticky and caramelized from sitting.
I rarely find myself in this part of LA, especially during the day.. So of course I had to make Fondry a stop for breakfast! Came in around 10am and there were a few spots in the lot open. There were also a couple spots along York so parking wasn't an issue. I wish I took a photo of the menu, but today's offerings looked more on the sweeter side. As a savory gal, I HAD to get my hands on the mushroom bechamel danish. My fiance got the orange blossom almond croissant. To share, we got the croissant presse. The mushroom bechamel was creamy and buttery and there were fat chunks of mushrooms, just the way I like. Would've been way better warmed, but I just had to eat it right away. Hah. The orange blossom almond croissant had a nice cream in the center.. almost like an earl grey? Paired with the buttery croissant and almond bits, it was a nice sweet treat. We were expecting more of a traditional almond paste, but this was still delightful nonetheless. Croissant presse was literally what you think it is - a croissant pressed down and had a nice sugar coating. Great snack I kept picking at throughout the day! I wish service could've been a little better. Not sure if the gal working the pastry line was either soft spoken or just really didn't want to talk to us. Didn't hear a single peep from her when trying to decide and order pastries. Was kinda awkward and just wanted to get going.. Worth coming back again if I'm in the area, but definitely taking it home to warm up! Also loved that the box had storage and reheating instructions.
Super Cute Came for a mid morning treat with a friend who had been wanting to try Fondry. It was Friday so there wasn't a line. So many choices, sweet & savory. I purchased a croissant, strawberry rhubarb tart and a Kouign-amann. Price $21 something out the door. All are very good! Will come back to try the Mushroom and Bechamel or other new specials! There's a few seats if you want to dine there. So nice to have this spot on York!
They're only open 9-2pm so get them while they're hot. I got in line at 9:15am and it took 30 minutes to order and out the door. Not too bad considering the hype but the line was definitely growing as I left. Everything tasted great, from their sweet passionfruit croiffin to their savory mushroom bechamel. They have a couple of seats outdoors to enjoy the food.
My absolute favorite bite currently is the spiced lamb and yogurt danish. Absolute perfection! Makes for the tastiest of breakfasts. These pastries are deliciously indulgent. Highly recommended!
Delicious drinks and creative pastries! Tried Fondry LA and the matcha vanilla pistachio drink was definitely the highlight--so delicious and perfectly sweet without needing any sweetness adjustment. Easily my favorite thing I tried! The tofu cream croissant toast was airy and light, with a creamy topping that wasn't overly sweet. The mushroom béchamel was savory and good. I only got it because my brother suggested it. Normally I would not seek mushroom pastries even though I like mushrooms. The yuzu meringue croiffin was good, but I am not used to tart flavors in croissant/pastry combination. The cafe is very tiny, with only one table for seating, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot. There are seats outside. I also wanted to try the black sesame pastry, but didn't see it available when I visited. I'd definitely go back to try it. The drink was the standout for me! read more

Tried Fondry and it definitely lived up to the hype! I came on a Sunday around 11:30am and the line honestly wasn't bad at all. I was able to order within 5 minutes. Drinks did take a bit longer (about 20 minutes), but we didn't mind since the staff were super friendly. The inside is pretty small and a little cramped, but the outdoor area is huge. A lot of people were hanging out by the staircase enjoying their drinks and pastries, which was a nice vibe. Food-wise, the garlic chive knot was my favorite. It was so good. The charcuterie danish was also delicious, and the orange blossom croissant was really refreshing. Drinks were solid too. read more

Had a gift card to use here so I stopped by with my sis to get a box of their pastries. There were a lot of options! We got a spinach and mushroom pastry, a chocolate croissant, the cloud tofu croissant toast, the carrot cake financier and the orange blossom croissant. My favorite was definitely the orange blossom croissant. So creamy and fresh. My least favorite was the carrot cake financier. I loveee carrot cake but this one was seriously lacking in spice, it tasted almost like banana bread. It just didn't have the right flavor. I do love that there's a dedicated parking lot. It's pretty small but even at 10ish am I was able to find a spot. I'm not in Highland Park often but recommend it if you are! read more
AH.MAZING. I've been planning on coming here but their hours are limited so I finally got the chance to visit on a day off. The croissants are perfectly crisp but fluffy, many many layers, and the quality butter is obvious. They have a savory variety like a mushroom bechamel, ham/gruyere, charcuterie, and a sweet variety like pistachio, passion fruit, chocolate, and the more. You can't go wrong with any you choose. The staff were sooooo nice and helpful. Plus the drinks were GREAT. You get a mix of coffee and milk tea. I love when cafes have good coffee AND teas, instead of adding a basic tea bag to their coffee list. Seating inside is limited, there's a few spots to sit outside. WiFi is available. There's a parking lot but it's small, given it shares the lots with 3-4 other stores. But there are some street parking spots so just drive around a bit and you'll find something. I'll be coming back! read more
I know this place was all the craze last year, and I finally had the chance to stop by without the overwhelming crowds. I enjoyed their matcha, and had their sausage roll and chocolate chip cookie. This place is so good. I've been here twice, and I always come on weekdays after 10 a.m. They still have a lot of pastries, and it's not crowded. I've tried their cappuccino, matcha latte, macchiato, and latte. I like that their coffee is very smooth and easy to drink, t doesn't have a burnt taste. Their matcha is also good; I didn't taste any grainy powder at all. I've tried most of their pastries, and they're all good, but my favorites are the ham & Gruyère croissant and the plain croissant. The croissants were flaky, soft, and delicious. The place is small, but they have a big pastry display. They also sell chips, bottled olives, merchandise, and more. There are small tables outside, and parking is street parking only. This place is a great spot to hang out perfect for a coffee date or just some alone time. I'll definitely be coming back. read more
I visited Fondry for the second time on a Saturday morning. The first time I went, they had sold out and were closing down the shop. This time I wanted about 25 mins in line to pick up two boxes of pastries. I had really anticipated trying out their croissants after watching multiple reels raving about the texture. Bakery located in the corner of a small strip mall on the boder of the Eagle Rock and Highland Park area. They specialize in croissants and more French leaning pastries, but I think there is a variety that reaches across other cultures as well. They also serve coffee and specialty beverages. There's some seating outside as well as minimal seating / waiting room inside. I've been wanting to try their pastries - especially their croissants I've been hearing a lot about, but been a little intimidated because I heard of their lines as well. Well... I cam in on a Sunday around 9:45am in Dec 2025 and there were only a few people ahead of me and I could see that they had plenty of pastries left at that time. I definitely had to order their regular croissant; I also ordered a chocolate hazelnut pain au swiss, a caramelized choco banana croiffin, and a ham and cheese croissant. These were to share among a few people. The croissant was as good as I was hoping it would be - airy and flaky, but plenty of buttery goodness. Just about all the items we had were very delicious. Definitely a great place for pastries, especially their delicious croissants and to grab coffee. There's a parking lot, but I parked right across the street at a meter. Beware the line to order is incredibly long! I got there before opening and the line got longer as time passed. The staff were super nice and answered any questions plus gave great recommendations. I ordered an iced matcha and the elder flower rhubarb Danish. The matcha tasted good but it's not the best matcha I've had in LA. The Danish was heavenly! It was flakey and fresh. Finally got to try this spot after it's been on my list for forever and I LOVE ITTT! The pastries are the perfect mix of fluffy, flaky, and sweet. I came on a Sunday a little before noon and most pastries were still in stock with absolutely no line. it's my second time back and I am still in love with their pastries and now they have capybara decorations. even after a year their pastries are still consistent and delicious. their pastries are still flaky and not too oily or sweet. We went on a weekday around 11am and there was still a good selection of pastries, but sadly some were sold out already. elderflower rhubarb danish (4.5/5): one of their brunch specials and it was delightfully tart but sweet at the same time. the flavors really balanced each other out. passion fruit cruffin (4.8/5): my favorite from this visit. you can really taste the passion fruit and it was tart and sweet but not too sweet. very balanced flavor. if anything I wish they had added more passion fruit. garlic chive knot (4/5): another one of their brunch specials. also pretty good but I just wish there was more garlic and chives. the flavor was more mild than I'd prefer but it was still good. parking: small parking lot but there is street parking options available. seating: good amount of outdoor seating I think shared with the rest of the plaza but it wasn't too busy when I went. **when adding an update to my 2025 review I accidentally removed the original pastry photo from then so I had to add it back in ** read more
Wowwwwee this place must be one of the best croissants and matcha places I've ever been to. Highly recommend the quiche, the scone, and the plain croissant. Everything was super delicious!!! You definitely have to go early on the weekend because things tend to sell out quickly. It seems like hype and scarcity are the keys to these popular places. I wanted to get more stuff to go after trying everything but most of the pastries I wanted were already sold out (at like 12.30pm). The matcha and lemonade green tea were also super delicious. Highly recommend this place! There's a small parking lot out front but street parking was also very easy to find. The ambience is nice but it's a small cafe so there's limited space indoor and outdoor area. This is definitely more like a grab and go kind of place. People seem to always be lining up outside so you'd feel awkward lingering too long at tables. read more
My bestie and I are always on the hunt for delicious pastries. And now that we both have babies and are up at the crack of dawn, getting there right when they open just makes sense. Our first attempt at Fondry, we showed up about 2 1/2 hours after opening and they were already pretty wiped out. But they still had their chocolate chip cookie and croissant pressé -- so obviously, we had to try both. I'm a sucker for a good chocolate chip cookie, and this one delivered. On our second visit, we made it within 30 minutes of opening, so we had our pick of everything. This time I tried the orange blossom almond croissant, the Berry Beau (a Valentine's special), and of course... the cookie again. The Berry Beau was a must -- beautifully flaky pastry, chunks of fresh strawberry, and creamy chocolate ganache. Absolutely delicious. The orange blossom almond croissant was unique and delicate, perfectly flaky and filled with a subtle floral orange pastry cream. Service is great -- everyone is extremely friendly and helpful -- and the coffee is solid, too. Next time, I'm coming back for the savory pastries. read more
WHEN: Sat @11am With only seatings outdoor, it was packed. There wasn't much of a line by the time we got there, and I appreciate them having a menu outside so we know what is available. We walked here, but it's located in a minor-plaza that shares a free parking lot with 2 other establishments. Here's what I tried: CARAMELIZED CHOCO BANANA CROIFFIN - $8.75 Croissant X muffin; filled with a caramelized banana compote sandwiched between a house-made chocolate banana ganache and vanilla pastry cream swirled, topped with a house-made vanilla wafer I love a good pastry that has sweet filling! It's been a minute since I had a croiffin, so this was easily enjoyed. Was just sad that it go squashed in the box cuz of it's hope, but no big deal! I didn't taste much of the chocolate flavor but it's definitely banana flavor without that artificial taste. CHARCUTERIE DANISH - $9.50 The classic pairing of spiced poached pears, creamy brie, and salty thin ribbons of prosciutto finished with a pinch of thyme and drizzle of honey on a crispy danish twist. How creative is this pastry! If you love the combination flavors of a sweet, rich and savory charcuterie board, then this is for you! Every bite was so good and fun. Yeah I know, it's pricey so it'll be a one-time experience for me, haha. HAM & GRUYÈRE CROISSANT - $6.75 Their butter croissant rolled with slices of ham and Gruyère cheese, packed with savory goodness. Got this because it's been raved online and yeah, it was good. Not the best, but I wont complain since it's less than $7. Overall this place is quite pricey, but the reality is, it's how a fine bakery stays open! First time coming into the shop although I've had Fondry pastries before from Loquat and Kumquat. Walked in at 9 AM on a Thursday as the first customer and within 5 minutes there was already a line. The pastries looked amazing so I ordered a variety: kouign amann, mushroom & béchamel danish, ham & gruyère croissant, charcuterie danish, and pistachio cream danish. I also tried the framboise matcha latte. The matcha latte was a bit confusing for me. I ordered it with oat milk, and the combination of matcha, raspberry, and oat milk didn't quite come together. The flavors felt unbalanced and slightly artificial. Unfortunately it also didn't sit well with me afterward, so it's not something I'd personally order again. Pastries were buttery and flaky on the outside, airy and rich on the inside. Technically well-executed. That said, every pastry was just fine. Not bad, not amazing. Even the pistachio cream tasted a little artificial. The mushroom danish was the best of the bunch tho it leaned on the saltier side. Service-wise, the guy handing out pastries was sweet. BUT the cashier gave me full-on no fcks given vibes. No greeting, no interaction, just that intense Gen Z stare straight into my soul. It was my first time in the store and I was genuinely at a loss about where to order and what to do, and she just... stared. Same energy with everyone in line, so at least I know it wasn't personal LOL. I usually don't mind unfriendly service if the food blows me away but that didn't happen here. $50 for five pastries and one matcha, plus a long line and awkward service? I walked out more confused than impressed. Not bad, but definitely not enough to make me rush back. read more
Weekdays over Weekends...After several trips and seeing the large line outside waiting for these delicious goods, I finally got the chance to try Fondry and they did not disappoint! Was in the area for a work event and was able to line up right before opening and only waited maybe ~15 minutes at most to get to the front. Unfortunately, parking is very limited in the small lot out front; however, there's a good amount of street parking nearby! The store itself is rather small, but they do a good job at regulating the area! When I went inside, the staff was very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. They explained a number of their pastries to me and answered any additional questions I had. I am a little saddened by the limit of pastries you can get at one time, but that just means I have to go back again! It took a few minutes for them to prepare my box, great service overall! I got the Yuzu Meringue Croiffin, Ham & Gruyere Croissant, Financier, Mushroom Bechamel Danish, and the Hazelnut. Shared it with my friends and we all thought they were delicious, perfectly balanced. Overall, would recommend if you're in the area and to go with friends so that you can buy more pastries at one time! read more
Finally got to try Fondry now that the major crowds have died down. I came on a Friday morning just before 11am and only waited for a small family ahead of me. All pastries were in stock and they also had two pastries that they offer as exclusive morning items starting right at 11. What I ordered: -Plain Croissant: I always have to get a plain croissant as a cross reference between all the different pastry shops I visit and this was a great one! So insanely flakey and it passed the second day test for me! Just had to heat it up in the toaster oven for a few minutes. -Baker's Breakfast: This one happened to be toastier than the other pastries which made it hard to warm up as it was easy to burn the outer layers but it was still much better when warmed up. The caramelized onion was yummy. -Pain Au Chocolat: Very good, very chocolatey. Still great lamination here. Get this if you want something rich. Very ooey gooey when warmed. -Mushroom Bechamel: SO GOOD. I NEED TO COME BACK FOR THIS. The pastry was phenomenally crispy, the bechamel was creamy, and the mushrooms were perfectly savory. -Pistachio Cream: This had quite the amount of cream. I love pistachio pastries but the amount of cream just felt too overwhelming for me. It feels surprising to say that, but I think it would just help it feel less sweet and less of that gluey mouth-feel. The shop and parking: The cute shop is located in a small lot with about 2 or so other businesses. There are a few tables for seating both inside and outside if you wish to enjoy any drinks and pastries immediately (I later found out they can heat up pastries for you). They offer drinks and have a selection of specialty items for sale off their shelves such as nut and fruit spreads, salami, and potato chips. There is a VERY limited amount of parking out front, probably like 7 spots total. Though I did not have any issues finding a spot when I got there, it did pick up a little and I saw several cars having to find street parking as I was leaving. Overall: Prices for the pastries are steep, but they are high quality. In this economy, I just won't be able to visit often lol but I will definitely be back. read more
Wow! I heard about this place from Instagram and decided to give it a try. I came on a weekday during lunchtime and there was not wait. I parked on the street but they have a free parking lot right out front as well. Apparently there's a shared restroom with the plaza, but I couldn't find it. Pistachio cream danish 9.5/10 - pistachio butter in the center is delightful and rich. Mushroom bechamel danish 10/10 - very decadent, with a light/crispy croissant. Mushroom flavor is strong and cheese on top pairs so well. Chocolate hazelnut pain au suisse 9/10 - tastes like nutella in a croissant. Has actual hazelnuts on top. Caramelized choco banana croffin 7/10 - light and fragrant banana flavor but the chocolate barely came through. This one felt overcooked. My total came out to be $34.75 - prices are quite steep for 4 pastries but these are some of the best croissants I've ever had. read more
any bakery that takes three days to prep a croissant has my full trust. We checked out Fondry in Highland park, with high hopes and hungry eyes. We started off with the kouign-amann (queen ah-man) which was sweet, flaky, dense, and caramelized to perfection. The pumpkin pie croiffin was a fall dream, filled with silky pumpkin pie filling and topped with toasted chai-spiced meringue. But the pistachio cream danish? Pure heaven. That luscious pistachio cream and the unbelievably flaky pastry were everything. Their croissant pressed was thin, crispy, beautifully pressed croissant. Perfect texture. I took a sip break with their framboise matcha latte, made with raspberry purée-so refreshing and delicious. Their chai apple knot, a brunch special, was packed with caramelized apple pieces and toasted almonds, such a cozy treat. And to finish, the bruschetta croissant-juicy tomatoes, fresh basil, and so vibrant. Fondry absolutely nailed every single bite. read more
Hands down, my favorite bakery in LA! I've been back multiple times and tried several of their seasonal items, and there was not a single pastry I didn't like. Every bite was amazing and did not disappoint. The pastries are perfectly fluffy, crisp, and airy, and the flavors are always on point. So, so good. Service is friendly and quick. The space is a bit on the small side, so it's better to take your pastries to go, but there are two small tables inside and a few benches outside if you want to stay. You can also ask them to reheat some of the pastries if you want to enjoy them right away. There's a small lot with a few parking spots. Luckily there's usually one open when I come, but there's also street parking nearby. read more

Finally got a chance to try Fondry, and wow -- their pastries are truly outstanding and incredibly high quality! We went on a Wednesday morning and lucked out with no line and an open parking spot in the small lot out front. Staff were so friendly and helpful in answering all of our questions. Everything we tried was delicious! Mushroom bechamel danish - soooo good and definitely my favorite of all the ones we tried! Perfectly savory, yummy and flaky with impeccable lamination Pistachio cream danish - the pistachio cream is rich, strong, and nutty and pairs perfectly with the crispy and flaky pastry Mont Blanc twice baked croissant - has a decadent chestnut and cream filling, yummy but definitely on the heavier side Charcuterie danish - such a unique one! Topped with brie cheese, prosciutto, and pears for a tasty salty and sweet combo Beef bourguignon danish - tastes just like the classic dish but in pastry form, so deliciously savory Framboise matcha latte - a matcha latte with raspberry puree, refreshing and well balanced but the matcha itself was okay and leaned more on the bitter side for me Absolutely can't wait to come back and try more! read more
Fondry is probably one of the best bakeries in the highland park area. Thankfully there was no line the day we went. The cream in the almond croissant and yuzu croiffin was really fresh, yummy and not too sweet but I was a little disappointed that the bottom of the cruffin was soggy. Maybe that's how it's supposed to be bc of the cream filling? Nonetheless, everything was lick my fingers delish and I loved the beautiful layers and crackling of the mushroom bechamel danish! read more
Came here today right when they opened and stood in line. The wait wasn't too bad, about 20-30 minutes, but by the end of it, I was still able to get everything I wanted. I think the pastries here are amazing!! However, if you want to eat them in the afternoon, you may need to reheat them a bit in the air fryer. My favorites thus far has to be the mushroom bechamel danish and the chocolate hazelnut croissant. They have a private lot on site but if you get there when there is a line, you're going to have to look for street parking. There doesn't seem to be any indoor seating but they have a patio with parasols and patio chairs. Definitely amazing that this place is only a couple minutes away from my house. I'll definitely have to check out some of their other pastries the next time I am there! read more
