All you have to do is look at it to see what kind of tool is needed and if he didn't have it he should have told me then. Annoying but whatever. So I picked it up and found someone else on the block to open it (it wasn't very hard). So I brought it back to him and he looked inside for five seconds and told me the movement was broken. What??? Yeah I know that! Why else would I have brought it in for repair??? I said I know, can you fix it? He said no. It was broken and needed to be replaced. What? The idea with vintage watches is to keep them authentic and repair them, not replace the movements. Such a strange experience and a total waste of my time. He is either lazy or inept or both.

They were from the start honest and straight to the point. I finally was able to pop in and have them look at my ring to see if possible. They told me yes, left it with them, and to come back the following day. When I got my ring, which again I have had since my now husband proposed back in 2013, it looked fresh and new (the same way it did back then). The soldering looks amazing and the ring feels great.
