    Birthday cake - customized
    Erik W.

I love this bakery. They make great cakes and can customize them for the occasion if you wish. We wanted a heart shaped layer cake with strawberries inside for my girlfriend's birthday and they did it perfectly. Not to mention when we needed to find a last minute cake for my birthday on Christmas Eve night, they were open at 9pm! Many thanks Golestan bakery!

Not bad! I think Turkey has ruined me for highest end quality sweets. I wish they'd get off the styrofoam. Great selections.

Big difference between what i ordered and what i got! And we still paid for it!

The best bakery in North Shore. I have tried most of their pastries. All were great. Not too sweet. All fresh and yummy. Staff are friendly.

On my first visit, I wasn't sure what the Zaku Zaku cream puff was, so the staff kindly let me try a sample. I was sold immediately. The custard was light and creamy, and the choux was perfectly crisp on the outside. The flavor brought me right back to a cream puff I had years ago in Saitama. It was such a familiar taste, and I hadn't been able to find it again until now. I'm so happy I found it here. I came back the following week, but unfortunately most of the popular items were already sold out. I'll definitely be back to work my way through the rest of the menu. I might even get my birthday cake from here this year!

It's been a few years since the last time we had a non ice cream cake for her birthday. I had fun researching online where to buy her Tiramisu cake from. Looked at sizes, shapes, prices....etc. Finally settled on this Tiramisu cake from Patisserie Le Pont. Awesome choice! Very very happy with this Tiramisu cake. The coffee flavor was very strong and the sweetness level was nicely balanced. A lot of other places made their Tiramisu cakes very fancy looking. This one had the more simple, traditional look which I preferred. It also made it easier to slice and share. The one thing that could have been better...there was so much coffee in this Tiramisu that it seemed to somehow spill out of the cake and onto the cake board. This made things a bit messy. I had to search for a platter in the kitchen that would be big enough to hold the cake on the cake board as the board was too messy for us to lay it straight onto the table. Love that it was loaded with coffee, but it was possibly a bit too much or else some new method needs to be found for keeping the coffee from spilling out and making things messy. Highly highly recommend this Tiramisu cake. It was sooooo good!

According to the website, this chain is named after the owner's golden retriever. It sure looks happy. Parking is available in front of the building, as well as along various village side streets. Staff are friendly and cheerful. No complaints. The doughnuts are a bit pricey but they sure are delicious. I really like "Asian" style doughnuts as they are less sweet than their western counterparts. I had the matcha cream and could definitely taste the matcha. The drive itself led us to an incredible bay that genuinely felt like we'd been transported to Alaska--calm, wild, and breathtaking--and then there was this cozy little gem waiting for us. Any place named after a dog and so welcoming to dogs instantly wins my heart. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, even though the place was bustling with happy locals and travelers alike. Every pastry in the case looked beautiful and tempting, making it nearly impossible to choose. The coffee, though--absolutely perfect. Smooth, balanced, and exactly what you want on a crisp morning adventure. Goldie's felt like one of those special finds you don't plan for but remember long after. Came here for a late breakfast again. My mom ordered the giant raisin scone again, along with a cup…read moreof tea. Daughter ordered the same breakfast sandwich that she ordered last time along with a mocha, and I ordered the Adult Mac n Cheese with a London Fog. There were a couple of hiccups this time. First of all they mixed up my daughter's drink order. Instead of a mocha they made her a hot chocolate. It looked like a wonderful hot chocolate, with a lovely heap of whipping cream on top but it was not what she ordered. So they took it away and made the mocha that she ordered. Then there was my order. My Adult Mac n cheese comes with toast. When they asked which kind of bread I would like for my toast, I asked if I could have the curry baguette bread which is usually used for their Shrimp Melt sandwich. They misunderstood and thought I was changing my order from Mac n Cheese to the Shrimp Melt sandwich itself! Nope, that's not what I wanted. I still wanted the Mac n Cheese but was just wanting to have the curry baguette bread as my "toast" since the Mac n Cheese comes with toast. When they finally realized what I was actually asking for, they then told me they couldn't do that. They only use the curry baguette for the Shrimp Melt sandwich. So then I chose sourdough to go with my Adult Mac n Cheese. It was very noisy in the shop this time. The noise level really turned off my mom. She ate up just a bit of scone, left the rest, didn't even finish her tea and then left to go walk in the IGA supermarket nearby just to escape the noise. My daughter and I finished up as quickly as we could so that we could go join my mother in the supermarket. I left first and when my daughter came to find us in the supermarket she said the people at The Bakehouse gave us a bag with 3 cookies in it for free, as a token gift for the troubles we went through in having 2 of our orders mixed up that day. I ate one of the cookies later in the day. It seemed like some kind of shortbread cookie with frosting sandwiched between it. Too sweet for my taste but I very much appreciated the gesture. I think it shows very good customer service. Don't think we'll go back there with my mother again as we'd rather not risk subjecting her to the extreme noise level again. My daughter and I would happily come back together though as we love the food there, and were very impressed with the service. Yes, they botched up our orders but how a restaurant redeems themself from a mistake says just as much about an establishment as not making a mistake in the first place. Impressed with the recovery they made, so in spite of the mistakes...still giving them a good rating!

I wished that there were more meat inside. It also had a lot of flavor in the meat itself. Service was good. The lady said she had some fresh ones made and she gave me a fresh one instead of one in the display shelve which was very kind of her. The sausage roll was a bit cold when I got it but it was not bad. The store itself is quite small and somewhat crammed. They sell other things such as cookies, tarts, other pastries and even kitchen items. They have some seatings outside. If the weather wasn't that cold, I would consider sitting and eating outside.
