I was testing out a putter on the practice green and simply moving golf balls out of the holes and toward the side of the putting surface when an employee abruptly approached me in a rude and demeaning manner, accusing me of "kicking his balls," which was completely untrue. The way he spoke to me was unnecessary, insulting, condescending, and unprofessional from the very beginning. When I asked for his name, he replied "Jim, the assistant manager" with a cocky attitude before walking away. About 10 minutes later, after apparently getting off his shift and changing clothes, Jim approached me again and sarcastically asked if I needed help with the putter. Considering the disrespectful way he had already spoken to me, I found it strange and antagonistic that he came back over at all. I told him I didn't understand why he was even speaking to me after treating me the way he did. The entire interaction left me feeling disrespected and uncomfortable, especially coming from someone in a management position. I will be contacting corporate because customers should never be treated in such a hostile and condescending manner.

Right at the front was where the replacement section was. The gentleman's working were very sweet in explaining everything and helping us out with picking what we need. One was doing all the replacements while the other one was helping us out. From there, it just takes a couple minutes. It was fine which gave us time to walk around and check the store out. We literally only did half of the store as it was massive. There's sections along the sides where you can practice your swings electronically. A putting green right in the middle to practice. Besides all the clubs and accessories, half of the store had a big apparel department with loads to choose from. There was so many clubs to choose from as well as whatever you may or may not need. If you're a golfer, this is like Willy Wonka factory but golf. Worth checking out.

We pull up and a man wearing a helmet, about to leave on his scooter, yells over that they actually closed at 5. It was 5:10. Any parent knows what came next: "Great, Mom! Now I have no racket or shoes for tryouts!" I pulled up the website to show him it said 6pm, fully expecting him to ride off into the sunset and tell us to come back tomorrow. Instead, he parked his scooter, took off his helmet, looked at my daughter and said, "We can't have you going to tryouts with no racket or shoes. Follow me -- let's get you what you came for." Enter Raul, the unicorn of customer service. He reopened the store for us and then proceeded to give us some of the most thorough, genuinely caring customer service I've experienced. He didn't rush us AT ALL. He took the time to help my daughter find the right racket and tennis shoes so she could walk into varsity tryouts feeling confident and prepared. And Raul apparently isn't the only one drinking the magical customer-service water over there. I had previously called with a tennis question and that employee was fantastic too. Clearly, great service is part of the culture here. What also impressed me was how much pride Raul takes in his job and how highly he spoke of the owner and the hard work that grew the business from a small area in front into the large store it is today. You could tell he genuinely cares about the business and its customers. There are plenty of big-box sporting goods stores, but this experience reminded me why supporting businesses like Pete Carlson's matters. We understood that we had to split into groups of four and three, and we did exactly that. At the first tee, we all hit our tee shots around the same time. Instead of politely reminding us of the course policy, the starter walked over very aggressively, began raising his voice, and repeatedly told us we needed to stay separated. He then started speaking in Spanish, which not everyone in our group understood, and kept asking us, "Do you understand?" in a very confrontational manner. We remained calm and respectful the entire time, but the way we were treated was completely unnecessary. Throughout the round, it felt like we were being followed and watched. The group of four ahead of us would occasionally slow down, so our group of three would catch up to say hello. Other times, we'd briefly gather at a tee box while waiting for the fairway to clear. We were never holding up play. In fact, when we noticed groups behind us, we even skipped holes at times to keep the pace moving. Despite this, the marshal repeatedly came over and aggressively told us to separate. Every interaction felt hostile rather than helpful. The final incident was the most disappointing. On the last hole, the course was nearly empty because of the heat. There was no one behind us, and we weren't delaying anyone. Yet the marshal drove up again, yelling that this was the "third time" he had warned us about being together. There was simply no reason for that level of aggression. I've played many golf courses over the years, and I've never experienced staff behaving this way. Course policies are understandable, but they should be enforced with professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, the treatment we received from both the starter and the marshal completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable day with friends. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend SilverRock Golf Course.

I have played at some that are just as decent for $15 for 9 holes and replay is $8. So for almost $50 plus $15 for a cart it is a little expensive for what you get. With that being said they are building a large pro shop / restraunt. Maybe thats the justification for the higher fees. The starter/marshall was friendly and knowledgeable. There were some teens and some that maybe should stick to the range a few more times before they come to a course. I should have to wait to tee off so that you can take your 3rd shot from the middle of my fairway and be pointed backwars back to your hole. All the holes are par 3, so its fairly quick. Took three of us about 2 hrs 20 min and thats with having to wait for a group in front of us to pick it up. The greens are decent and challenging. If you go in the middle of the day its not as busy. Our tee time was 4:40 and the course was pretty empty but as we finished the front 9 it was getting busy and by the time we finished the 18th it was packed. It was fun but for the price we can find PGA level courses closer to us.

The roughs here are extremely difficult. As in good luck finding your ball it could literally be submerged in the roughs. There's two great holes here with island greens, That is already hard without wind and very tough when there is. Theres Many holes with water in play which will really make you put your course management to work. Overall it's worth playing. Pace even on a busy day is very good. Lots of restrooms throughout the course. And they even have a new gps systems. Each cart has its own water jug. There is a cart girl that goes around. The Marshall also comes around.
