i Had heard that the Roger Dunn in Indio, had a large inventory of used clubs for Seniors so I drove for 90 minutes hoping that was true. Their selection was okay, but Royce said that the best time to come for used Senior Clubs was in the spring, he added that by September October their stock is always depleted. Anyway I went there looking for a specific driver, and Royce found it for me. Royce escorted me to the hitting area and I began hitting balls, but the results weren't what I had hoped for, so Royce pointed out certain numbers that were out of the normal ranges, and he went and picked out about three different drivers for me, he made some adjustment to correct what he determined I needed. Royce worked very hard and kept tweaking the Drivers until all of my numbers for my swing were great. He had me hitting a different driver that I had also been considering and I went from hitting my own driver from 190 - 212 with no roll out to hitting 242 yards with the club he switched me too, that's thirty to fifty yards further(WOW). I think I will get a little more distance when I get comfortable and relaxed with the new club. Royce didn't try to change my swing at all, he just found good drivers that fit my swing and used my numbers to make adjustments that got all of my numbers in the good ranges. Based on his hard work I think I'm maxing out my distance now. I've always doubted that the driver I was using was under performing and that if I could get the right club I could get better results, but everywhere I went no one would give my any help, I thought the only way I would find the right club was to just get lucky, but what I really needed was to find the right Help and Royce was the guy that gave it to me. Royce you didn't act above me or annoyed buy me, I felt like you just wanted to get me into the right club, Thank you so much you changed my game. You did so much work for me, you didn't tell me all the whys but I could tell that in your head you were figuring out solutions and then solved my problems and it was the first time I've had fun in one of those hitting booths. Hey everyone If your willing to make the drive I highly recommend going to Royce, seriously I walked out of their not hoping, not thinking, but knowing I finally had the perfect club for my game, and that is worth so much. I want to give a huge shoutout to the staff at Roger Dunn in Indio led my store manager Matt, club fitter Julian, Kevin, Richard the club master regripper, and Robert. These guys made me feel like a "valued" customer. I had a horrible experience at the PGA golf store where even though I was given a restaurant style buzzer to get fitted for clubs they ignored me for over an hour. I per witnessed him help 2 other customers even though I was "next." I refuse to patronize an establishment that doesn't offer at least decent customer service. I had a great experience at the Roger Dunn Golf Shop in Indio, CA. Ryln was the sales associate who assisted me in purchasing new irons and woods. Ryln was very knowledgeable on all the products that Roger Dunn offers and worked with me using a launch monitor to ensure I purchased the right clubs for me. He was very patient and took his time with me to ensure I was comfortable with the clubs selected for me which produced the most distance and accuracy. Matt V, the store manager, was one of the most professional managers I have met in the golf industry. He is very personal and knowledgeable, and you can tell he takes pride in his work as you can see it in the way he deals with customers. His focus on customer service impressed me the most as I have not seen this level of service at any other golf shops in the Coachella Valley. I have also had club repairs performed by Scott in the past and he is very knowledgeable regarding golf shafts. He provides the best and quickest club repairs of any other golf shop in the area. The service at this location is so much better than the larger superstores and other local golf shops. My 9 iron shaft was broken by the airline baggage smashers, and we were planning to play a lot of golf. A golf pro friend that lives in Palm Desert said, "Take it into Roger Dunn. Bret is the man! What a great shopping experience! Walked into couple golf shops in Palm Springs and either they ignored me or gave me a 20min dissertation and confused me completely. As a beginner I didn't know what I was looking at and was intimidated by the shopping experience in some of the other bigger shops in Palms Springs. Bret set me up in one of the bays looked at my swing gave me some easy to follow tips. We looked at several iron options and settled on an excellent used forgiving set. Right away I am going to tell you to ask for Scott for a fitter. I live on Maui and I have not found a good fitter here. So when I need clubs I fly back to Carlsbad. Then you have to choose the manufacturer before you swing a club. Scott knows everything! He has been fitting forever and even worked for the manufacturers. He will take the time that is necessary. I've had really good experiences here and have spent over $1000 in the past 6 months. But when I went to get help on a cracked driver shift they required a receipt even though I'd bought it at a different Roger Dunn. I was then abruptly told that the warranty had "expired" so I'd have to get a new one. Called Callaway and was told they or any other golf shop could send it in to me. This store owner didn't seem to care so I walked out of the store upset and disappointed with their attitude. I needed to replace my 20-year-old Callaways and stopped in at Roger Dunn's in Indio. I was introduced to Scott D. who, I learned has a tremendous amount of knowledge about golf clubs, developed over his career in various sectors of the golf business. Scott set me up with several different manufacturers 7 irons on one of the swing analyzers and I hit away. He came back and we worked together to decide which club (Callaway Rogue) was best for me. I then hit different clubs from that set of clubs and felt good about them but had run out of time for the day and had to leave. I had been looking at demo clubs. When I returned a few days later the demos had been sold. I tried a couple of other models, but really liked the Rogues best. As Callaway has discontinued manufacturing Rouges, Scott had to get on his computer to find another set in the Roger Dunn system. He had them in a couple of days. A full set of brand new, great looking Rogue irons and hybrids. Scott was able to locate some gently used Rogue woods in the Indio store and I left with a great feeling and great looking set of new clubs. The pricing was very fair as well. I also left with a great feeling about Roger Dunn and Scott in particular. Everyone in the store was cordial and friendly. Scott as you can tell was personally involved and really cared about getting me the best clubs for me. I'll be going back to Roger Dunn for all my golfing needs. Having just moved to the area, I was looking for a new place to buy used golf clubs. I was happy to find a familiar place. I was used yo golfmart in San Diego, and this is under the same ownership. They offer a 90 day return policy on everything , even used equipment. That's amazing... I was looking for a new wedge. I was soon set up with 8 versions of a 50° from Cleveland and titleist. All used. I was never pressured to look at other brands and never pushed to buy new. I was able to use the launch monitor to get responses on all the wedges.
