I'm writing this on my plane back from LA. I went there for the summer for an internship and…read moredecided I might want to learn how to golf. Kevin was very friendly through the whole process and a great teacher of the game. Throughout the week I would look forward to our lessons. They were always great. We started and I picked up the mechanics of the game fast with a few tweaks (many not a few) to my swing and later in the summer we went on the course. The first time I played it I hit par on a whole and I cannot describe the feeling of this. Highly recommend him to any beginners (and I'm sure experienced golfers too).

I decided to get serious about golf later in life. Like many, the pandemic inspired me to get…read moreoutside and be active. I decided to pick up my old clubs and go to the driving range at Rancho Park. I hit a few good balls but became frustrated that I wasn't consistent. In the bay next to me were a couple of children about 10 years old who were being coached. I started listening and realized it was a lesson. I listened to the coach and liked his manner with the kids. I figured that he could help me too. His name is Kevin and I set up a lesson. Kevin helped me develop good habits and a swing that fit my age and ability. He is patient and encouraging. He employs demonstrations, video tools, and a calm demeanor. I have discovered that golf can be frustrating. Golf is also a great source of pleasure and satisfaction. I always come back for more. Same with Kevin; I've taken at least 20 lessons from Kevin and I always walk away with what I need to become better at golf. Kevin has helped me immensely. I enjoy practice, and now, I play regularly with new friends I have made through golf. I'm sure he can help make you a better golfer, Getting better each and every day is always the goal in this sport.

Following an assessment built to profile each player and customize developmental programming, their team will take you through what becomes a lifelong pursuit of developing an understanding and implementation strategy that will help you play better golf with more power, speed, and stamina. I trained as a junior golfer at IMG David Leadbetter Academy, played Division I Collegiate Golf, and played briefly on the professional circuits. I have had countless of physical trainers along the way, and when it comes to smart, efficient, and PGA Tour- Level fitness training, Golf Fitness Los Angeles is the way to go. They offer golf specific fitness training, golf lessons with a PGA pro, they have a sweet 10 foot simulator so you can work on your swing with video analysis. Its a great facility and the rates are super reasonable. I've worked out with both of them and they are both great! I honestly cannot say enough good things about them, and if I could give their gym 100 stars, I would. I started training with Kim 3 years ago. I set out to just do a few training sessions to get back on track as I'd always been an exerciser but had fallen off the wagon. My experience with Kim was so postive that I kept coming back. Its three years later and I'm so glad I'm still working with her and Chris. I've lost some weight, I feel a lot stronger and healthier, and I feel more balanced in my attitudes towards food and exercise. I've lost body fat without going on a crazy fad diet. I love it! I've always gotten lots of personal attention here. Both Kim and Chris have extensive knowledge of physiology and continue to study. They are always taking classes and attending seminars so I know I'm in good hands. I've gotten the most comprehensive workouts here - strength, balance, flexibility, power, stamina... They aren't in to trends or fads. If I mention a fad diet to Kim, she has usually already studied it and can site scientific journals that refute the claims of that diet. They've worked with me to find something that works for me. The gym space is fun and intimate. You'll get a lot of personalized attention in a gym with great equipment so you can reach your goals. And its literally right across the street from Rancho Park Golf course, so you can get a quick workout in, or stretch out, or take a class right before you tee off. Try it out!

This is of course very frustrating when you enjoy the game and want to be decent. We purchased a package of sessions from Jomel for my partner and I, and this was definitely the way to go. Plus it was a cool way to connect together Jomel is a great teacher, he's patient, spends time focusing on each person's body and style and even the psychology (I have a tendance to want to drive super far), so he works with us to find solutions to those issues. The lessons were fun, informative and creative. He realized that I have a short memory, so what I'd learn in one lesson I'd often struggle to remember when we practiced. So he took videos on our phones we could watch later of his instruction on our form. This really helped. Jomel worked with each of us individually (somehow we both have unique learning styles and issues that required different direction). We saw improvement in our consistency almost immediately. We practiced at the driving range and while we still weren't good, we were at least consistent which was the goal. Jomel continued to help us with the rough edges until we felt confident and even understood if we had a bad shot, what we did wrong. After we neared the end of our sessions, he offered video 'consulting' to answer any questions or check on our form. I am grateful for his help and strongly recommend his services

In the online shopping age, you place faith in things you cannot see. You establish trust based on…read morethe things you order being delivered timely and whole. It works for all kinds of things; off the rack clothes, protein powder, US Government debt, drawings of apes (remember those?), you name it, you can buy it. Let me tell you one very important purchase where there is no room for online shopping faith: golf clubs. Listen, I'm your typical high handicapper. I'm talking... very high. Like Whitney Houston high. So when I'm shopping for irons and a golf club manufacturer talks about AI Smoke or dual tungsten weighting, I'm going to be honest with you. I don't know -- nor do I care -- what the f-- they're talking about. All I know is, if it feels good, like I could swing it 150 times over the course of 36 holes and yes, you read that number and did your math correctly, then yes. Those are the clubs I need. Now I'm a fairly big dude, and unfortunately this makes my need to get fitted for proper clubs even more serious. Us big fellas will take a standard length club and perform Olympic level swing-nastics to protect our back. We will most likely fail and have our back screaming at us while we see our score reach Palm Desert afternoon temperature levels. So, for me, the most important thing when it comes to picking a set of irons is comfort and feel. If I'm going to be swinging this a lot, at least make sure it feels good doing it. Omer knew this right away. He's dealt with tall people, I'm sure he's dealt with smaller people and everything in between. And he was quick, deliberate and no BS in his recommendations. He saw my swing and then picked out a few great clubs. He explained taller folks with long wrist-to-floors need clubs that extend well before they leave the factory and in the mfg process -- not just aftermarket extensions. I appreciated that bit of advice and his clear explanations in the lengthening process and how it differed from manufacturer to manufacturer. He didn't speak AI Smoke-up-my-ass-anese. He gave me practical bits like "this might create a weak point in the club and break your shaft on a bad swing." He explained it realistically looking out for me, the high-handicapper. And here's the thing -- did I have to pay $150 and schedule an appointment with Omer to know this? No I did not. You know exactly what I'm talking about guys. Of all the things I knew I wasn't doing, I wasn't about to pay $150 and schedule an appointment to be pitched to and upsold. Here I am at Roger Dunn completely for free. Omer dropping truth bombs on what I need and keeping it simple. No passing judgment, no snobby upsell tactics, just straight knowledge and work. I appreciated him a lot. Also shoutout to Lawrence in shoes, who let me try on a few pairs and was super helpful helping me find the shoes I'd want. Finally, thanks David at the front. The morning crew today took me in and were super helpful. The team here is great and have an approach that's welcoming even for a total golf schmuck like me. I'm glad this is my local Roger Dunn, and my neighbors you should be, too.

I went to purchase a new set of irons and was surprised that they didn't have them in stock. The sales associate said he would call around to find them. He said he found a set and when I went to pick them up five days later they were used! The manager offered no apology and said he could take ten percent off of the price. He also said that I couldn't even order a new set. While still at the counter I found and purchased the set from an online store. They should be delivered to my house in two days.
