If you've never tried it that way, you're missing out! My only minor complaint is that sometimes when I pay for extra cake, it doesn't really feel like I get much more than the normal serving. I've been to Cold Stone locations all over the West Coast, and some of them really load it up when you pay for the extra cake. Lately I've been ordering online because by the time I get there, it's been sitting in the freezer a little longer and is extra frozen, which I actually like. The younger employees aren't rude or anything. They're just a little more quiet and awkward compared to the owner, who always makes an effort to greet people. He definitely leads by example. I've been coming here ever since the days when the store had that infamous sewage smell around 2020, and honestly, it never stopped me from coming. I remember it being a big topic of conversation back then, and every once in a while I swear I catch a tiny hint of that smell and it takes me right back.
