Todd Knows how, but Drinks, and is a Hack - in my opinion. I have many pictures. Something must have happened in his life that he is having trouble with. Used him twice with good results. The 3rd time was a Disaster!! He lied to my face after, and still owes me money for undone work. On top of it, the roof leaked. Good idea, Lousy workmanship. Also, my rear marker lites make the trailer look like a 'tard installed them - he didn't use a template, as I suggested - a no- brainer!!! Todd came by last Thursday gave me a quote for repairs and recommended a roof reseal. Agreed to cost and recommendations. Said he would stat work next Monday. On Monday I called and Todd said hurt his back and he would do the work on Wednesday. On Wednesday he said he was on another job but would take care of my RV on Thursday at 11 AM. Had an electrical issue and was referred to Gone Fishin by my mechanic. They were EXTREMELY responsive. They first tried to assist over the phone, but unfortunately the repair was too complicated, so they followed up with an in person service call. They were prompt, completed a full diagnostic service of my RV and identified two issues. They were able to quickly resolve them, but didn't stop there. They were also able to make some additional minor repairs that had been neglected by prior electricians. Highly recommend them, can't say it enough. Refrigerator was out and all my food was spoiled and the smell is so bad, also to find 2 out of 3 A/C's were out as well, started to panic as it's 84degrees inside and smells, I call around to find nobody to answer the phone, but when I tried Todd he was quick to answer and literally guided me through on how to fix my RV without even being there. (Imagine explaining calculus to a child is the equivalent of me learning electrical) Todd told me I was too far away for him to come over to physically help. Our Motorhome slide would not retract when we were ready to return home from a weekend trip. Our extended warranty called Todd for us. We arrived at our destination and a slider malfunctioned. Once my husband knew it was beyond his capabilities I started calling mobile rv repair people. We didn't know if we should unpack or just go home. Told was luckily working a few sites away. Had a problem with my slide out room, and Todd came out to investigate. He diagnosed the problem to the controller. After he left, he called me back and mentioned that the part was expensive, and he wanted to come out again to double check, just to verify his diagnosis before I ordered the part. Who does that, just to make sure the customer doesn't spend more money than necessary? It certainly impressed me. I got the part, and Todd installed it today. Everything is back to working! On our way to the Roadster Show in Pomona, our flamed '40 Ford breaks a fuel pump leaving us on the side of the road. As we're about to call for a tow along comes Todd Mcgarvey. He diagnoses the problem, leaves (in his personal truck while on his personal time) to find us a pump, comes back with tools, lays in the street, fixes the car and the new gas leak, and has us back on the road in under 2 hours. Todd is the kind of small business owner you wish everyone could be. He responded next day to repair a broken valve stem and lubrication of the slide-out on our Class A RV. He corrected a previous repair on the roof seal (done by another RV repair service) and completely resealed the entire roof. We live in it full-time so we wanted to get someone out here right away being that were in Southern California. I called my regular guy and he couldn't get us in until June 6. I was tired of having to pay exorbitant fees, waiting for appointments and driving this big RV across town to either of the two big local large RV repair businesses. A coworker suggested I call Todd at Gone Fishing Mobile RV repair. He came over the next day to give me an estimate to repair a lot of small items and returned the following Monday to do the work. I kept adding forgotten items to his repair list and he was more than gracious in complying. He was able to change the generator filters, inspect and seal the roof, replace the refrigerator door, and do the routine maintenance that we don't have time to do including lubing all of the moving parts and blowing out the appliance lines. Do not take your RV to Gone Fishin RV Repair, if you want it done right take it else were. took my Rv there an it was a disaster. i needed a roof leak fixed, new kitchen floor an new carpet.Todd said they could do that with no problem. it took them two month to get it done. the night i picked it up the kitchen floor was real sticky,come to find out they over sprayed glue on it, after two try's to get the glue off i told Todd i want it replaced, his reply was he had no money to buy the material. so i had to buy the material. have had the coach back for two weeks now an the floor is starting to come up in the middle, just poor workmen ship. We picked the color of carpet we wanted from the samples he had there. i stopped by one day after work an they were putting in the WRONG color carpet, he said he couldn't get the color we wanted for another month an this was the same color carpet, a blind man could see it wasn't, lucky for Todd we liked the color. had to take it back twice to get the carpet fixed. again poor workmen ship. But the real kicker, when i get my Rv home the first time, i see TWO SCREWS STICKING THRU the side of my coach, they used ones that were to long to hold the dinette in place. that took them two weeks to fix. again poor workmen ship Each time i had to take it back, Todd would have it for two or three weeks even when he told me just a couple of days. every time i took it back to fix something they did i had to listen to Todd complain how this is costing him money. read more
