We were in there this morning looking for a front headlight for our RV. The lady that was working this morning was extremely rude like we were bothering her. Been here many times and have never experienced this before, they are usually very friendly and helpful, not this time. She told us rexhall went out of business and they don't make those parts anymore. I told her I would look online and she responded "I've been in this business for 35 years, you're not gonna find it, you're better off looking for it on a car." Like WTF? Well guess what? I did find it online! Maybe you don't know your stuff as much as you think you do! We have a large community of camping friends, I'll definitely be giving my opinion of Benlo and how we were treated this morning. I'm still in shock. Maybe you were having a bad morning, but you definitely don't take it out on your customers. If I could give negative stars for our service this morning, I would. Have a better life lady! read more

In today's environment of Amazon ordering, Benlo stands out as a much better option. They have a large selection of hard to find parts and supplies at comparable or better prices to Amazon or online ordering. Jan is a great wealth of helpful information and advice. Been shopping here since 2015 and it is great to be able to put your hands on the part and make sure it is the right part. I have been Benlo custover for over 23 years, and been helped by Jan the cashier / owner who was so rude I'm never coming back I went to get service and parts an I I needed help getting the right part and asked' Jan for help. Jan went on an endless about how much she pays. And if you don't like her attitude, service or prices were what you have for 30 miles if you don't like it buy from Amazon!!! and do it yourself!!! So if you feel like paying 3 times more for parts and getting insulted , disrespected and humiliated' go to Benlo,s in Irwindale and speak to Jan the Trailer service trol who lost her happy looks like she smells farts and eats lemons all day So now instead of trying to support them as a local business, they seem to not want or need any customers or money. Where do I start with this place? It is family operated they are very knowledgeable detail oriented and the quality of the work is beyond anything you can find in the area. I have to say my favorite is that the owners wife is the most knowledgeable of them all this lady hands-down can tell you how to do and what to get for just about anything she really is wonderful!! all of the workers are very pleasant respectful helpful knowledgeable and I just wish there were more places like this you can find just about any part you can get any type of service and repair there's propane there's storage it's really a gem!! read more

We took our newish 17ft trailer in for warranty repair. On an 22 month old unit, four components had warranty issues - the furnace, the stove, the refrigerator, and the water heater! I called to get a quote about having new slide seals put on my 40' 5th wheel. The lady, who I know is the owner answered and said her service manager whispered into her ear that they don't have time for a job like that. Are you kidding me??? I wouldn't have minded waiting months for an appointment, but to say they don't want probably a extremely common job is totally crazy. I used to go here all the time when I lived close, I moved 20 miles away and thought I would be loyal and go back, but definitely now will not be going back. read more

Great place to take your RV. My 16 year old Fantastic Vent fan needed a new motor. They had a new one in stock and the mount for it to fit my old assembly. Fit me in on short notice and I was out, better than new, in just over an hour. Also had a piece of wood trim reattached. Total cost was $150. read more

Benlo - RV Repair Near Me - Irwindale, California

June 19th was our first time to use Benlo RV. We were looking for a local RV repair that could trouble-shoot and fix things on our 2013 Allegro Breeze that a place like Camping World could not. Our initial contact was over the phone and we asked a lot of questions--basically doing an interview and getting a sense of comfort about leaving our second home with someone. Janet answered all our questions, including overnight security. They have a guard on premise at night with a fence around the perimeter. Our "To Do" list included a diesel engine oil/filter change, fixing a motor that would not retract a night shade, fixing a squeak coming from the front dash (very noisy to drive), filling the propane tank and fixing a tire stem that leaks air. The drop-off and check-in process was fast and friendly. Again, we worked with Janet at the front counter of their service department / retail store. We found out they don't work on tires, so we will need to look elsewhere. Everything else on the list could be addressed. As we were leaving from dropping off the RV, a tag axle RV (much more expensive than our RV) pulled in for service--this also made us feel comfortable about the service we would be getting. It took a few weeks to get our RV back, but during that time, they removed the old night shade motor and had to wait on Tiffin to ship them a new motor. They also completed everything on our list-including the squeaking noise. To fix the squeaking, they had to remove two vertical panels and cut custom foam pieces to act as a cushion. We never knew our RV could be so quiet driving down the bumpy 10 and 60 freeways! When we picked-up the RV, Tom went over all the work performed with us and then helped us navigate out of the parking lot. The entire experience was great, and we are so happy to have found a quality RV repair that's only 12 miles away. read more

Went into Benlo this morning at 830 to buy a couple parts we needed for the RV. I found the siphon vents after wandering around for 5 minutes. As we walked in 3 or 4 employees looked up but didn't say a word to me nor did anyone ask if they could help us find anything in their dusty mess of a shop. I looked up the part on Amazon which was 19.95 and free next day shipping. Benlo wanted 29.95. We asked the lady if she would match prices and she decided to say no , because Amazon is going to run her out of business. Not much negotiating savvy here for Benlo when she could have at least gave us a little discount. We were still going to buy until she kept complaining about Amazon and made me ask why her markup was so high. She stopped and handed our money back and put the products back on the shelf. She said I will not be disrespected by anyone and told us to leave. Not sure if Amazon is going to put her out of business or just her horrible attitude and horrible negotiating skills. I really don't want businesses like this around when they want to make an absurd amount of money on markups for products that are old and can be found anywhere else for a decent price. read more

Zero Star! Went here to Benlo for service on my RV A/C unit. Employee was very nice and attentive, He made us an appt to bring in the RV for service. Owner comes out and right off the bat, owner had a horrible attitude about us bring him business. This business looks like it's going down hill and business is very, very slow. Owner got very upset (trembling mad) and yelling at me and insisted he did not want our business, "I don't have time for this bullshit!", he said. We walked out and realized their attitude will cause the business to fold... nothing to do with pandemic. Went to another business and said they know about this Owner and his wife is even worst. A friend took me here to get a few replacement parts for my Lance camper. They had everything I needed. The owner took the time to answer my questions. I was sent to Benlo from my RV manufacturer after another company consistently failed to take care of me and my RV. My experiences have been great thus far. What I appreciate most about them is their dedication to what they do. When they are explaining something, they are thorough, and clear. I have always felt like I understood what they were about to do, or were looking for, and never felt like they were trying to cover something up. The quality of the work speaks for itself. When I finally got to them, I was giving up on my rig. They not only fixed a 2 1/2 year old problem nobody else could, but they reassured me that the unit was sound, and I had little to worry about. I actually felt confident in the unit again, and began to actually trust that I could go camping and not worry something was going to to wrong. So far, they have been correct. I just dropped it off with them for some small issues that I am sure they will be able to resolve quickly. When I was scheduling the appointment, it was suggested that I drop off as early as possible on Monday, because the electrician would be off on Tuesday and Wednesday. If I got there early enough, he would be able to look at it that day. That was a bit of a shock, because I had grown accustomed to dropping off at the old place, and they might not even look at it for a week! I'm very happy to have found Benlo RV Repair. I will certainly keep coming back, as well as refer friends. read more

This place is fantastic! Their parts prices are competitive with what i was seeing online, and they will help get it right since theres a ziIllion and 3 different things to do with RVs. The first time i went to get an estimate to repair where i parked a wee bit too close to a telephone pole. They showed me how to fix it to be factory newish and how to do it without spending a fortune. While i waited for the estimate Dedrick helped me find a part i needed and explained how to install it. I was surprised at how reasonable the part was and at how helpful everyone was. The next time I brought it to fix the damage from the pole and to have a new valve put on the black tank- a yucky job which again, i thought they did for a reasonable price. I picked up a few more cool things for the rig for fair prices too. Finally, when i was coming to pick it up I got hung up in traffic and when i called them they waited a few minutes past closing for me. Just above and beyond with everything they do. You always hate repairs on home, cars or RV as they usually have a way of getting more expensive than you anticipate. Not with Benlo! Over about the last 20 years I have taken two different tent trailers ito Benlo for repairs of one sort or another. I am always happy as the cost of repairs has always been less than anticipated. Recently took my Coleman unit in for a problem with the bed sliders. Well, Coleman has been out of the tent trailer biz for several years now, so they don't supply parts. Tom, the owner, sized up the situation and fabricated some stops for the slider and now she is good as new. I have always had good friendly service here. This is a combination RV supplies store and RV repair place, and the store is well stocked. Hours are M-F 8:30a-5:30p, and 9a-1p on Sat. As a newbie RV owner I know NOTHING (clue the Sgt. Shultz sound clip). I walked in with a few questions, talked to the owner, and she gave me some excellent advice and a pointer to a local RV mechanic. Janet spent 20 minutes with me, fully aware that I would not be buying anything on this (my first) trip. But I did walk around their store area, and I noted a number of things I will be needing. I will be back and this place will be my preferred supplier. Update: I've now been in there a half-dozen times purchasing fix-it parts. I've watched and overheard how well they treat their customers. I wish EVERY retail store treated their customers this way, the world would be a better place. read more
