Was a bit expensive 15$ for 20 eggs but the kids love it and the chickens look happy. Plus we like supporting our locals. Super friendly and attentive service. But don't be fooled the bread is bomb and the honey is next level. We also grabbed a few duck eggs. :)

Absolutely love the drive out into rural Riverside by Lake Matthew's. I'll always get my eggs here as they are local and sustainable!

I love GoneStraw Farms chicken eggs! As others have noted, you can both see and taste their quality in their orange yolks (*) and strong shells. At $8 for 30 eggs and $15 for 60 eggs, they are an even better deal than Costco's organic large brown eggs ($7.99 for 24 eggs). These eggs not only taste better than store-bought eggs and help save money, but also make me feel as if I'm doing good for the environment by buying locally and supporting humane and sustainable farming. As stated in their website, their chickens, ducks, and quails "live happy lives roaming the pasture for all the bugs and seeds they please" (**). Great value, sustainable farming, and happy animals are why I choose these eggs! They also offer meats, dairy products, freshly baked breads, kettle corn, and honey, all available for direct delivery to multiple cities (mostly in Riverside county) throughout the week. Note: Yelp says they close at 5 everyday but the staff let me know they close at 6 everyday this week, and 5:30 starting next week! (*) An orange yolk color indicates high carotenoid content which may have positive human health effects. (**) Eggs from hens in free-range systems may have improved antimicrobial potential. I love love love this place. Eggs are fantastic and reasonably priced. Friendly, too. The people, not the eggs.

Tastiest chicken ever. Purchased at Heart & Trotter in San Diego. I salted it for two days and then roasted it. Amazing.

Admission was only $6 per person, and children under 2 are free, which makes it an affordable outing for families. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They answered our questions and gave us information about the farm. The barn is on the smaller side, but there were still plenty of animals to see, including ponies, goats, chickens, and sheep. Outside, we also saw a turkey, horses, cows, and a pig. We visited around 11:30 a.m. on a Friday, and at one point we had the entire barn to ourselves, which made it especially enjoyable with our little one. Storytime for little ones is offered on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:30 a.m. After visiting the animals, we explored the produce market and were impressed by the variety. They had fresh fruits and vegetables, delicious pastries, breads, jams, and lots of other tasty snacks to browse. If it's your first visit, I'd recommend going during one of their scheduled activities so you can experience the tractor ride as well. There was plenty of parking, and I appreciated that they had a changing table available for babies and toddlers, which made the visit even more family-friendly. Overall, it was a relaxing, low-key outing that's perfect for families with young children. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back to experience more of what Tanaka Farms has to offer!

Good Box Organics is not only convenient, with the food being delivered right to my door, but is entirely healthy as well. The owners Samantha and Mark started this business in 2010 and have a mission of creating a healthier future. The best part is they work with local farmers to get all their produce and find multiple ways to give back to the community. They also have their Support a School program where they donate 5% back from every box sold. They have different boxes to choose from and different sizes as well. Some boxes are fruits only and others include fruits and vegetables. I went with the half size fruit and vegetable box. Before delivery, you get an email of what is going to be inside the box and the best part for me is, it includes recipes of what you can make with the items in your box. My box included an avocado, pears, apples, oranges, broccoli, cilantro, pink chard, and lettuce. One of the recipes included Baked Broccoli Parmesan Fritters which I am definitely going to try out because I always need new ideas for meals with having two small children. The delivery fee for their boxes is $6.95 or you can pick up the boxes for free at many of their local pickup locations. The service area covers the greater Los Angeles Area , San Fernando Valley, Pasadena, and Conejo Valley so definitely something for everyone!

Sam and Mark are truly two of the kindest and most genuine people in my life. I couldn't recommend supporting a small local company more. I genuinely mean it.
