La Sierra is awesome for bulk goods, plant-based meats, frozen meals, and lots of specialty vegan items that are hard to find elsewhere. Their produce section is not very good, so this is not a one-stop grocery store. Still, I like to go here once a month to stock up on things I can't get elsewhere in West Riverside. They have a particularly great plant-based meat section, with bulk amounts available in the very large freezer section along the back wall. I've discovered some new yummy protein foods here which have made home cooked meals much easier and tastier!

As a vegetarian for many years, I'm used to mixed supermarkets where there is a small vege meat section in the freezer section and in the refrigerated section. THIS PLACE IS VEGE FRIENDLY THROUGHOUT, and at market value prices. Some items are slightly higher compared to larger chains that carry Morningstar or Quorn, but they have brands that large grocer's don't have. They have organic produce, awesome fair trade chocolate, "better than bouillon" bases, chips, Califia, more varieties of Follow Your Heart than other places. This place has no real meat. It does have a lot of Kellogg's Worthington meats, canned meats especially which is interesting. This market also has a vegetarian cafe sitting area inside which is nice. Honestly, this reminds me of the all vege market in Portland which is amazing. Love, love , love this place! There is a security guard walking around, making sure people don't steal stuff.

Old school shopping cart! Have not used one of these in ages!

Blast from the past going into this natural foods store. It honestly felt like Napoleon Dynamite gone organic. It is places like these I like to shop at to show support for local business.

If you are Seventh Day Adventist, a true health conscious vegan, or vegetarian looking for products that are not mainstream but healthy for you, then you will want to checkout La Sierra Natural Foods. Looked at the La Sierra Marketplace across from La Sierra University, this Natural Foods Market caters to the healthy lifestyle message of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The selections are plentiful when it comes to vegan and vegetarian grains, oatmeal and snack selections. They have several freezers lined up with frozen food and drinks that again cater to the health conscious community. La Sierra Natural Foods also carries a selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, most of which are organic. The staff is quiet helpful but reserved, just be cautious of when you shop as the market doesn't have many employees. Once you figure out the layout and products they sell, you should be able to get around easily and need the staff just for checkout. One other item to be aware of, just like Whole Foods or any store that focuses on health products, La Sierra Natural Market prices are well above those of Stater Bros, Vons or Cardenas. Just outside of the Natural Foods Market is Oasis Vegetarian Cafe, which proudly offers quality vegetarian and vegan meals, which can be eaten outside of the market or delivered inside, where you can complete your meal with a choice of drinks and snacks. If you're looking for a large selection of vegetarian or vegan ingredients or pressed meals, take the time to visit La Sierra Natural Market.

Vegetarian haven. Well stocked. Many vegan options. A/C so it's very cool. Semi GNC type supplements.

Inside the shelves looked stocked and well maintained. The staff was running around refilling and restocking at the time we visited. Always a good sign. This was my first time stopping by and I did notice. They had a roasted duck hanging in the corner. If I wasn't in a rush, I totally would have gotten myself a little treat. Normally I stop at H Mart or Zion Mart, but this was a fun treat and side quest with friends! Bonus were my dried fruits snacks that I absolutely love. I can't wait to go back and get more. When I tell you that these things are addicting, I really truly mean it as someone who grew up eating these. There were a few things missing that I was looking for on the selection seemed smaller than what I was hoping for. The veggie section seemed smaller, but if you were looking for Durian, they did have that. Prices were reasonable on the things they did have however. Inside it was definitely a smaller grocery than some of the other others. I'll be back for my snacks maybe not so much for the fruits and veggies.

I was hoping to find some pre made juices and lunch boxes but, instead I found a little food court... There was Philippino food, Korean and Chinese food... I was allay hoping to find some UBE or purple potatoes. They help lower blood pressure fast! PRO TIP: If you want to lower your blood pressure instantly try having bananas and purple potatoes or Ube for dinner. Not with your dinner but, only these 2 items for dinner. Stay hydrated! I love that they had a great deal going on. 10 meals for $105. I feel that that is pretty affordable but not only that, some of the meals they provide is so delicious and has lots of flavor. My favorite ones are: Turkey Lasagna (1), Turkey Pasta (2), The Pot Roast & Potatoes (3) & The Loaded Mashed Potatoes were pretty good (4). Some of the meals are slightly salty which I don't mind but others might. I still have some to try which I look forward to because the macros are so good on most of the meals. I feel that this business is so much better than other businesses such as Hello Fresh and anything similar to that. Now, my least favorite meals: Braised Beef with the Polenta (Not a fan of the texture of the Polenta but overall everything is flavorful), Chicken Fajita Bowl (Chicken was so bland & dry and the whole meal does not come together), Get Yo Mac On (No flavor & everything was dry) & All American (It was alright but the sausage was dryyyy). I still look forward to trying the Blackened Salmon, Salmon Alfredo, Steak Fajitas, Cilantro Lime Turkey, Shepard's Pie, Pepper Steak & The Vegan Enchiladas. The only sweets that I have enjoyed so far are the brownies. They are dry (which is expected because of the protein) but they are still delicious. I was not a fan of the protein strawberry shortcakes. As far as the service, the employees are always so welcoming and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone who struggles to prepare with a meal plan and to definitely give this place a try!
