The attitude of the workers here is abysmal. Disgusting attitudes from the two Asian guys who were here on Thursday, April 30 at around 3:30 PM. Prior to this, I came to the shop And had the same experience. The staff is inexperienced with bad attitudes. I asked for a non-caffeinated drink for my son and the guy said we only sell drinks with caffeine. Then, his boss came and said no, there are drinks without caffeine. Second, I had come for a promotion and noted that my son could not have boba because he would choke to death as a 4 year old and whether he could have any substitute. Both were extremely nasty and lacked empathy. They proceeded to speak in Chinese as if I did not understand and gave us a contaminated two yogurt mango drinks. It made us sick. I ordered a drink for pick up for my kids and we'll, they are young kids so I really do not want them drinking a big cup of something sweet. Upon coming into the store, I asked for a cup and the employee told me that it'll cost money for an extra empty cup. What!? I already paid for a drink, and the drink isn't even cheap or on a deal. I went today, and the girl who took my order barely spoke English. During this hot summer like day, I just wanted some bubble tea. So I decided to give Seamless another chance and placed an order for: Large Taro Milk Tea ($5.50) and Medium Passion fruit green tea ($5.50) with pearls and coconut jelly. Here's the thing with ordering through Seamless: the items listed for ordering does not list or indicate the option to include tapioca pearls. I only realized that when my timely order arrived that the Large Taro Milk Tea did not have tapioca pearls. Recalling the ordering process on Seamless there was no option to choose whether to include the percentage amount of ice, sugar, tapioca pearls, jelly, etc...In addition my drink and a few others did list the pearls and coconut jellies in the order so I am speculating that they are not providing the tapioca tea options on Seamless. Anyhow, my delivery order was dropped off in front of the door, laying there sideways, yet on time. Thankfully the drinks were packaged really well that nothing spilled. It's in a small plaza right on Northern Blvd. Parking can be tough during the day around here but manageable. They are definitely a little more generous with the sugar so I recommend getting less sugar and possible more ice on this drink. I absolutely love the variety of teas, milk teas, and toppings that Gong Cha offers. When we went, we ordered the Coffee Milk Tea and the Mango Milk Slush. The Coffee Milk Tea was a bit more bitter than we would have liked. The Mango Milk Slush was so good. I love milkier smoothies and if you love milk and mangos too, you should definitely give Mango Milk Slush a try. The service is quick and the interior is very cute. They offer Gongcha cards at each location that allows you to receive a stamp for every drink you order. Gong Cha- There's nothing that gets me more excited than when your favorite guilty pleasure is coming to knock on your door instead of you having to hunt it down. In my case that guilty pleasure is bubble tea and it gets me so excited and hype up when I found out that Gong Cha is now opened in the Little Neck area! This Gong Cha is located on Northern Blvd near Little Neck Pkwy, this part of Northern Blvd tends to get crowded due to the amount of nearby restaurants so street parking can get quite tough. Your best bet is going down Little Neck Pkwy and find parking in the more residual area. It's situated right next to Rolly on the second floor of a small strip mall area, their sign is pretty big so it's hard to miss. First impression- Clean and bright open space design. On the left side there's a wall filled with Gong Cha cups nicely lined up in an arrangement and on the right side there's a giant Gong Cha Sign on a wooden wall with simple plant décor by its side. Both side screams "take an Instagram picture here" and I would absolutely do it because the décor and lighting is just so perfect for it. There were only 2 tables for 2 when I was there, not sure if more will be added. The cashier/ worker Joe was very nice and friendly, I spoke to Joe and found out the place has only been opened for about one week. After looking through the on screen menu above the counter, I ordered the large Milk Tea with White Pearl and a large Milk Foam Green Tea, both with 70% sweetness and regular ice. Side note: there's currently a BOGO50% off promotion going on so I got a discount for my two drinks yay! Drink wise- Their milk tea had great flavor and a good balance on sweetness, the white pearl unfortunately was lumpy and some were stuck together, texture wise-some white pearl tasted chewy while some tasted a bit doughy. The Milk Foam Green Tea tasted okay, it could be just my taste and my love for sweets but the Milk Foam Green Tea tasted like it had 30% sweetness rather than the 70% I ordered. Overall: I think this location definitely got great potential, the space is nice and clean, workers are friendly and it's super close to my house! The drinks I ordered could be improved but considering it's their first week, it's understandable. A lot of Asians dine out on Friday at the neighboring restaurants, some probably would stop by for bubble tea to finish off the day. I also wish they offered the stamp cards like other locations. I guess they'll be working on it, not entirely sure. They also have wifi and a few seats available. Also I'm not sure why but they removed the BOGO 50% off sign, and ended up getting charged for all drinks purchased, maybe it's during certain times...? The location is next to Rolly, so you need to go up the stairs which is a bit inconvenient but hey, you get a workout before getting the bubble tea haha.
