Hot Honey Scone -Wich

Such a cute restaurant, perfectly themed for a tea party! Large menu with unique options, as well as an enormous list of teas. They had alcoholic beverages as well. The scone sampler was great and gave us a good taste of everything. I really enjoyed my scone-wich as well. The Royal Wedding tea was also delicious and I am not typically a huge tea fan. Service was a little slow, but they were also quite busy. Was a great place to chat with friends amongst good food and drink. I found prices very reasonable too!

While visiting Connecticut, I found this place because my mother loves tearooms'. We were not disappointed. Walkin was not an issue, staff was very friendly. Cream cheese cucumber sandwiches and the Cole slaw were delicious. Green hot cinnamon tea was wonderful.

Florrie Kaye's is absolutely adorable. They offer a wide variety of tea options, and having tried their signature sweet and savory scones, I can confidently say you can't go wrong with any of them. The salads are delicious, and the sandwiches are great too. If you're having trouble deciding, I recommend the afternoon tea so you can get a little bit of everything.

Great selection of teas with very kind servers! Parking is big challenging on a busy Saturday morning but my mom enjoyed her 75th birthday.

One of my favorite places to eat of all time. A little background info, England is one of my favorite places to travel to. I love the food there, I'm obsessed with tea time and Harrods. Just everything. Let me tell you, Florrie Kaye's matches that vibe and quality to the T. I feel like I'm back in England. It really is mind blowing how they are enable to encapsulate the flavor in their food as if I was eating it at Harrods. It really scratches that itch if I'm craving it and don't feel like flying across the pond to have that experience.

Classic British Scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream. My only critique is that they should not have charged extra for clotted cream

UPDATE: Before leaving our delightful afternoon tea last week, I visited the cake counter and selected a savory scone and pan au chocolate for my friends, husband, since I kept her so long. The word on the street is that he loved the treats. Must return soon!

Ham and Brie Sandwich

If you need your high tea fix, you need to come here! Came here on a Sunday afternoon with a party of 9 and we sat comfortably! The choices for tea were endless. For appetizer we shared one of the tea sandwich towers. The scones were so good! (Pretty sure I would come back just for those). I was the odd one out when I ordered an Arnold Palmer to drink and for my entree ordered the ham and Brie croissant. Bonus: in the back of the restaurant they have a little store where you can buy tea and other British items! I ended up finding a pistachio spread I had been on the hunt for. ($14)

The food was fresh. The service was excellent. A nice place for a party, family, special tea with granddaughter, or solo. I cannot wait to try their new location.

My favorite place to visit. Always loved going out for tea at spots like these, so when I found out about this spot I was really excited. So cute & fun. Service is always great. If you plan to go you should make a reservation before going most of the time the place is booked solid. I've liked almost everything I've had here.

The best scones EVER!

It's always fun to have an authentic afternoon tea (tower)! They can accommodate vegetarian (me) and gluten free (in my group) too.

The pressure of picking where to eat with restaurant operators was a new kind of feeling. It felt like game 7. My gf could tell I was crumbling when she said, "Pressure makes diamonds, but it also busts pipes. So in times like this you gotta ask yourself: Are you a diamond, or a pipe?" We picked Lord's, as I genuinely can't picture having a bad meal there. We opted for the Scotched Eggs, the Snap Pea Salad, the Crab Toast, 2 Burgers, and a Sticky Toffee Pancake. After trying everything, one of them looked up and said "there are legitimately no bad bites in here...I'm obsessed." A cocky smirk graced my face as I locked eyes with my gf. WE ARE DIAMONDS! They loved it so much they ended up ordering another round of the scotched eggs and sticky toffee pancake. I must shout out our server Lily W as well, as the white glove service in here made us look good. IG @johnny.novo Tiktok @jnov__ Substack @johnnynovo

We loved the pancakes, it had the perfect amount of crisp around its edges and was drowned in a buttery maple syrup. Batter is on the saltier side which I'm a fan of. We also ordered the burger, chips, and scotch egg. Personally thought the scotch egg batter and burger was on the saltier side of things as well which added up with so many savory dishes. The patty was perfectly cooked to a medium rare and was so tender and juicy. The chips reminded me of pommes frites fries, and that vinegar mayo was the perfect complement. I would love to come back for the dinner menu!

Also, there was a sandwich board outside that clearly announced a happy hour, but then I got back my tab that charged me double the price I was expecting because "it's the World Cup" even though there was absolutely no indication anywhere that the happy hour was void because of the game. (I've paid 15 dollars for a beer before! That's fine! But I absolutely despise false advertising.) Moreover, one of the patrons was a complete ass about me having to squeeze past them even though they had parked themselves in the busiest section of the bar. Terrible vibes. Go anywhere else.

It came with the traditional sides: veggies and Yorkshire pudding. The meal came with a choice of appetizer. For me, I chose the fois gras on toast, which was oh so buttery. The star of the show was the sticky toffee pudding. It was so decadently sticky, caramel-y sweet. I loved it. Oh, and our meal came with this wrapped gift that you pop open for a surprise!
