We have had 2 different appointments with this place, they were no show no call both times. We just called to see if he was coming out today, which was scheduled 1week ago. When he answer, he told my husband, he was too busy! So my husband told him not to come! I guess he was just going to leave us waiting for him, just like he did last week! Disappointing experience. This plumber was assigned by our home warranty company to fix an issue with our tankless water heater -- the water would get hot but wouldn't stay hot at any faucet or shower, and it was even worse if more than one was running. He said the unit needed a flush and promised to submit the request to the warranty company right away since he was local. That was six days ago. I tried following up with him directly, but got no response. After waiting an hour on hold with the warranty company, I found out he never submitted anything. The rep put me on hold to call him, and suddenly he claimed he'd told us we just needed to turn the faucet all the way to get hot water -- which is not at all what he said (and not the problem). On top of that, he left his clipboard upstairs and asked my husband to go get it for him "because his back hurt." Not exactly the level of professionalism you'd expect. Meanwhile, we had family visiting and everyone got to enjoy the fastest showers in the west because the hot water would cut out so quickly. In the end, I had to request a second opinion and am still waiting for that to get resolved. I shared my experience (and the other reviews I saw here) with the warranty company, but they just got defensive and insisted they use him all the time. Maybe others have had better luck, but I wanted to make sure my experience was noted here. read more

Sergio was contracted by my home warranty company to take a look at our tankless water heater. He took a look to give the warranty company the report for what needs to be done. He left and I didn't hear from him again. I called several times asking what happened. Crickets. Not very professional if you ask me. What actually happened was the warranty company had declined our claim (I didn't know because no one told me). I guess because we were declined, he decided we weren't worth his time...even though I could've paid him myself for the job. I hired someone else to do it. read more

I used Gonzalez Master Plumbers to do some plumbing work through Old Reliable Home Warranty and couldn't be happier. I had a two hour window and normally I use this time to clean or vacuum while waiting, but Sergio arrived a few minutes ahead of schedule and caught me off guard (which is great - normally contractors arrive beyond the alloted window slot). Like Mood Y., I, too, have seen some of the negative reviews, but our experience was also quite the opposite. Sergio and his two staff accompanying him were courteous, professional and knowledgeable, and we couldn't be happier with the service. My home warranty company sent them to my house for a basic repair. My shower was leaking. A new cartridge was needed. I could have done this repair of myself but I figured I got a home warranty on my house so I might as well take advantage of it. I called my home warranty company and informed them of the problem. They "ok'ed" the repair and told me someone from this company would call me to schedule a repair. Also, they said I should call of in didn't hear from them. The next day, of course, I didn't hear from them so I called. They asked me to send pictures of the parts and they they would come out and fix the shower. Later that day I didn't hear from them again so I texted the owner this.."????" Around 615 that night in receive a call from Sergio saying he's on his way and will be at my house in 14 minutes. He showed up. Everything was all taken apart, later out nicely and neatly and ready for it to be put back together with a new cartridge. The water was off at the street and I was present to help whatever he needed. Sergio replaced the cartridge and I asked him if he would put help me put it back together and he basically said he couldn't do it. He said he didn't have the part. The old handle unit would have gotten me by so that we could at least use the shower. It just needed a new cartridge. I said that was fine but asked if he could help me put it back together and I could just put reassemble so we could use the shower. Basically I told him it wasn't a problem I would just put it back together but I asked him for a little bit of guidance like does this go here, where does this go or does this look right. He brushed me off and said that if I wanted to fix the handle portion of the shower that he would try to find the part and come back out and do another service call and fix it. Later that night I texted him explain to him that I wasn't very happy because if he had to do a service call he would have to come out to my house, pull it apart, replace the cartridge, and put it back together. Right? Of course he didn't respond because he knows I'm right. He just came out to my house put a new cartridge in the unit and left it in all pieces and wouldn't help me or guide me in the right direction. Luckily, I put it all back together in a really short amount of time. Overall, I was pretty disappointed that he wouldn't help me. Like I said it was technically part of the job. I just did most of the work already for him. Go somewhere else. read more

I called this guy on Labor day about my house drain is clogged. He said he is off and he said he could come from 8 to 10 am the next day to do free estimate. I told him ok so i told me tenant he will be there Tuesday. On Tuesday morning he texted me , said that he couldn't make it because basically he is booked but if I pay him $60 dollars service fee, he will come within 90 mins. With this false promises and no integrity, i rather spend more on bigger company. He claimed he can do free estimate but then he doesnt want to show up. Bottom line is this is not how we handle business. If you want your house drain is clogged up, flooded in order to wait for this guy to show up for a free estimate. Go for it. I highly recommend Sergio! I don't understand how he has such low ratings on here because he did such a great job! We called through our warranty company and he came out that same morning we called. We ended up needing an entire new water heater and he did it that same day (in a couple hours)! He is so personal, informative, and friendly. After reading some of these reviews... I definitely think that we should rate people/companies depending on the job that they do (not depending on what the warranty allows them to do or what job that is covered). I saw a review on here that said a warranty would "not cover Sergio's work that is done". To me, that should be a bad review on the warranty company, not Sergio's company! If that's the case, go back to your warranty company and give them a bad review instead. Anyways, highly highly highly recommend! read more

Had Sergio come out to my house today. My pipe above lower barhroom was making a noise. Sergio went through his steps to see what was causing the noise, found out the water regulator on the outside of house was too low or water pressure was to low. Worst experience ever! I had a slab leak under my bath tub and Sergio was very unprofessional. He "assumed" the problem was in the shower and recommended we used the bottom faucet instead of the shower, which was not true. He later stated that our "problem was from a pre-existing condition and that our insurance would NOT pay" so he suggested we paid cash to get the job done same day immediately. He later left the water running for 15 minutes which destroyed my entire carpet and furniture from the bedroom next to the restroom. I RECOMMEND EVERYONE NOT TO USE HIS SERVICES!!! These people are unprofessional in unbelievable way and I would stay away from them, they work with my insurance company and was sent to my home to address a problem and the guy who, I think is the owner, came to inspect didn't even bothered to see where and what the problem was, he didn't even bothered to bring in any tools, ladder, light to check the problem. The guy was out of there in five minutes and told insurance company a completely made up story indicating that the problem is because of things that are not usually covered by insurance company, and obviously the insurance denied coverage for the issue. So I disputed his findings and after filing a complain with the insurance company they sent another plumber and he found the issue to be totally different then what this Gonzales plumbing guy told them. The insurance company then apologized and covered the repairs. I just can't understand the reason why he would tell a complete lie unless he just wanted to make a quick service call fee without considering the troubles he caused us. I made a case against them with the insurance company and get them blacklisted, I did so because these people are proven liars and not only a huge inconvenience to customers but they also give a bad reputation to insurance companies. If your home warranty insurance assign this company for your service then call the insurance and simply ask them to assign a different plumber, you have the right to do that and insurance company will honor your request. If you didn't do that and you let these guys came to your place then you will probably regret it and without knowing who the culprit is and will get upset with the insurance company even though it's not their fault. read more

We had a water heater blow up on a Sunday. After many phone calls to find someone to help us and working through my home warranty company, Sergio Gonzalez came to our rescue. I explained to him that I recently had major surgery and could not be without water (which we had to shut off). He was at our home within 2hrs as promised and was able to give us a temporary solution until he could install a new water heater. Unfortunately, due to the negligence of another Plumbing Company (UniMasters Plumbing) there was significant water damage to our drywall that now needs to be repaired. I now have to file the repairs against my homeowners insurance, which had added to my out-of-pocket. I am grateful for Gonzalez Master Plumbing for their sense of urgency to our problem. the call was through H. Warranty on 5/17/2021, Plumber showed up considerable sooner, could be because I had explained the urgency, as I had to shut down the water. anyway the problem was fixed, and water supply restored. about 2 hrs. after he left we realized that thae fartherest restroom, had low to almost no water pressure, when I called him, he just disowned the problem, told me to go to Home warranty guys. the problem is that, prior to this lead i was getting water everwhere and at good pressure, it was after he fixed the problem, so this new problem of low to "0" preesure was caused by this plumber. and not owning it is the biggest heartburn. read more

Service request made on 9/27 for delayed hot water and garbage disposal not working. Was told by Old Republic Home Protection that this was covered under the home warranty I purchased. They sent the work order to Gonzalez Master Plumbing Inc. Waited three days and no response. Called the plumber and spoke to Sergio. He said he would be out that day to look at the problem. He never showed up. Waited 5 more days and called Sergio again on 10/5 to ask when he could come out. He said he would be here at 6 pm. He showed up at 7pm. He spent 15 min. and told me the insurance probably wouldn't cover the repairs. He then wanted $75 for the service call. He misdiagnosed a leak I had in the kitchen drain and told the insurance company it was do to a missing a gasket under the strainer. The leak was under the sink coming from a drain pipe. He either has no clue or he is just lazy and wants to collect service call fees without doing anything. He saw the obvious leak under the water heater and told the insurance company there was no issues ! Needless to say nothing got fixed and the insurance company refused to pay because of his incompetence. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

Do not even bother to call this company, Sergio is a professional liar who only seeks to take advantage of people. My parents' insurance sent him to check the water heater. He made his diagnosis and when he came back (days later than what he had promised) to change the water heater, he began to give a thousand stories of things that had to change. He also called me on the phone and said that he could help me "screw those who sold us the house, the insurance company and even the one who did the inspection," but that my parents had to pay him $2500 cash. When they didn't agree, then he said well only $1500. I told him I did not understand what he was referring to, and that I wanted a second opinion. Very annoyed, he asked my mom for the original receipt and overwrote his first assessment, keeping the previous date. We have cameras in the house, and we can prove that he is lying. The insurance company is taking action on the matter. I recommend you save yourself the headache, the bureaucratic process, and the many hours on the phone explaining what happened. This guy is a scammer. Also he told my mom on the phone, "I am the law here, and because your daughter didn't do what I told her, now the insurance won't do anything." And by the way, just like him, Spanish is our first language. He is not the law here. He should be ashamed of trying to scam elderly people. read more
