I used to deliver to this location when I worked for a car parts store. I followed one of their…read morecustomers, who was doing a test drive, into their parking lot. They put on their reverse lights to back into a space, I stopped a few cars back, and instead of going into the space, they backed up INTO my delivery car at full speed. No slowing down at all. Too quickly for me to react. They popped out and were very apologetic, then rushed off to find the person in charge. Somebody that worked there came up to my passenger mirror, asked if I was okay, and then tried to "instruct" me on how to talk to the ambulance/police when they arrived so they wouldn't get in trouble. Come to find out later that the Lake County Auto Mall had let this person do a test drive without any kind of insurance. The front of my delivery vehicle was totaled, with the van that had damaged it only have a few scuffs on their back fender. They tried to convince me to not call anybody, but it was a company car (so I needed to call my boss and the police) and I was 4 months pregnant (so I needed to call an ambulance). The next day that van was still on their lot, backed into a space where you couldn't see the back side, with a percentage marked off. They've also been known to dump all the fluids they remove from cars into the forest/water behind their shop. I'm thankful that the place is an empty lot right now and I hope they never reopen. Terrible people selling junk cars for high prices.

TL/DR at the end I…read moreknow people are going to be looking to replace their car with their tax money. I saw on the marketplace that the LAKE COUNTY AUTO MALL is advertising cheap "reliable" cars. I wanted to share my experience with them so perhaps someone else could be spared the trouble. When I went to purchase a car, they had me sign a paper stating there would be a late fee for each day that your late on your payment. This is against the law. I was TWO days late on my payment, one of those days being a Sunday and they wanted to charge me $40, double the late fee allowable under lending laws. The paper they have you sign, they don't give you a copy with everything else. Likely because they know it's illegal. They also charged me a temp tag fee when I transferred plates, but I didn't even notice that until much later. I had the car for just a month when I took it in to the shop for an oil change and they showed me that there was oil in my coolant. Not knowing the severity of the situation, I only had them flush the coolant and moved on. It wasn't long when the car started overheating. I replaced a bunch of different parts on the car before finding out the head gasket was leaking. The guys running the lot were really nasty about it, saying the car was 100% perfect with no problems when I bought it. In fact, that's what they told me before I even bought the car. That's called misrepresentation. I have a feeling that what they're doing for many of the cars is clearing the codes and resetting the CEL. That's why for many customers, the CEL comes on shortly after leaving the lot. That's called fraud! One other thing, if you leave a negative review on their google page, they respond to them with lies. Some of them, they claim the car got repoed. On mine, they said I was late every month. I know it wasn't true for me and I imagine it is false for the others as well. I could be wrong, but I think posting in a public forum the credit worthiness or repossession of a customer is in violation of the Privacy Act. I have reported them to the FTC in hopes they can be held accountable for their inability to know and follow the laws they are bound by. I do hope they're investigated and shut down or made to follow the law. I do intend to send a letter to the State Attorney's office so they can investigate also. Until then, I worry about how many people they're defrauding and leaving them in a worse situation than they started out with. TL/DR Stay away from Lake County Auto Mall. They defraud customers by selling junk and break federal laws.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE from start to finish! Paul was immediately responsive to our online submission…read morefor dent repair on both our truck and car. Update at the bottom…read more... I am not a fan of long reviews at all but I feel it is well worth my time to write this up. Especially because of the quality end result that I received. First off, if I could give one word it would be: Fantastic! If I could give ten stars I would; Paul is a very polite, honest and sincere local business owner. I contacted dent repair USA after doing a Google and Yelp search for dent repair. I am most certainly glad that I did. Long story short, my little dent maker got out of the back seat of our other vehicle and hit the one parked in the garage. Needless to say, I nearly had heart failure as I began mouth breathing like the local folks at Walmart on a Friday night getting their Marlborough reds. That bad. BAM! I yelled in my head as I'attempt to remain 'cool'...Holy mother of Jesus, son, you just caved in the side of my vehicle arrhgggghhhhh! Anyways, as the Devils trumpets sounded from the hinges of hell, I finally pulled myself together enough to begin my mastery Google FU skills (urban dictionary that term). The Angels above must have been watching. As I scrolled through the search results, The light shined on the Dent Repair USA result. I trolled the website for a bit, did some digging (everything checked out), and I decided to give them a call. The gentleman I spoke to was very polite and gave me a rough estimate over the phone. I decided to take the plunge and I set up an appointment and they actually came to my house! Now that was nice! So, the big day finally came! I've been waiting on this for over a week; have had trouble sleeping at night and borderline panic attacks. That darn door dent has been staring at me like like The crazy old lady that lives next door to me who sits on her porch all day giving me stink eye as we come and go. I swear, the dent has been watching me laughing at my misfortune. So the guy shows up, and on time I might add, reviews their process; gives me a final price and they begin work. On time is a HUGE plus in my book. 10 minutes early is on time, on time is late kinda guy here. It took him about an hour and a half to take care of business; the end result was quite surprising. There was no evidence whatsoever of any ding/dent; There was also no evidence that he even touched the area. In other words, coming from a guy who is crazy about detailing his vehicles, there were no scratches or micro marring in the clearcoat. Nice! So now, tonight I can finally sleep well. It has been rough over here. So, if you're looking for a quality local business (that is also owned and operated by a veteran) and not some large chain/franchise -- this is going to be your go to place! You definitely will not be disappointed. His prices are reasonable, he is straightforward and will complete the job properly. Did I mention..he actually showed up ON TIME. You can contact them with confidence! He has my official seal of approval. UPDATED 08/02/19 Well as luck would have it, Satan and his dent angles hailed from the hinges of hell and blessed me with their presence. Again. I accidentally closed the garage door and it slammed down on the hood of my vehicle, creating a huge dent on the middle of the front sector of the hood. I seriously didn't think there was any way this dent was going to come out, so I peppered my angus to be loved tenderly to the tune of a new hood and repaint. I sent Paul a handful of photographs and he gave me an estimate +/- $50. Very reasonable, it may be more, or less...depending on what is required once he gets eyes on it. I should say for the record that the dent was located over a heavily a braced area of the hood; within a raised body line -- extremely difficult to get out, even if he could. End result? REJOICE! 99.9% of the dent was taken out, no paint damage and only I would notice the 00.1% Dent repair has earned my GOLDEN seal of approval.
