I have been going to Pallens…read moreAutomotive for probably 25 years or more, I ran an automotive parts store and serviced the Pallens shop and even his one son Michael worked for me. I have two vehicles, my 2012 Chevy Silverado 4x4 and my wife's 2013 Ford escape AWD. My wife's car had a check engine light and a low tire pressure light come on the dash. I've told Tom, Steven, Victor and all of the other mechanics to never put cheap or one year warranty parts on any of my vehicles and from day one I've never complained about a repair bill. Now after calling and telling Steven that the code was 051, a crank case pressure sensor. Steven called and told me to bring the car into the shop Friday at 9:30am and he'll check it out. Now every time I deal with Steven he tells me that he'll check it out and call me but that never happens and we're without a car for two to three days and when I call he tells me oh I gotta check this or I gotta check that when in reality he's blowing smoke up my butt. Well the truth came out that Friday. When my wife dropped off her car she asked when can I pick up my car, now remember Steven told me 9:30am, well it was 8:30am. My wife was to told she could pick up her car at 4:00pm. I picked up my wife at her job in Elyria at 3:55pm and drove straight to Pallens and I'm sitting in the parking lot waiting. Finally she comes out and I asked what's going on and she tells me that the young mechanic just ran out to the parking lot and pulled her car into the garage and changed the sensor. She paid the bill and we leave, driving home on broadway my wife calls me and and says that the check engine light and tire pressure light is still on. I told her to turn around and go back. She's told that Steven will get the sensor from the Ford dealership and she asked about the tire pressure sensor and was told she has to make an appointment even though they stock those sensors. This proved to me that Steven was peeing on my foot and trying to tell me that it's raining. You cannot believe anything Steven tells you. When a man's words ring empty (Stay away) I've had repair bills of $2000 sometimes more and I never complained about any one of them but when you show me that patronizing, your business means nothing that I take my money and spend it elsewhere. Thank you Stephen you save me some money you can blow smoke up somebody else else's you'll never do it to me again.

I had to hand tighten the 3 remaining lugs and drive back. My rim was destroyed and they had to replace all 4 with new ones but the service was terrible and it took over a month. Lucky I had my stock rims and tires otherwise I would have been out of a vehicle for a long time. And once my new rims came in they completely ghosted me about mounting and balancing the new rims. I'm just grateful my buddy was following me the day my wheel was wobbly and almost fell off otherwise it could have caused HUGE Problems and been dangerous for me and others on the road

At the last minute they say they don't allow outside financing, so basically they want more money doing it their way cause the me (the consumer) to pay more in interest. I find this out and now they say they are going to put the car back on the market when it's only been 1 week. So just because I said I was doing outside financing they threw what they originally told me out the window and we're gonna keep my $1000 without holding it for the time frame they said they would. I wasn't even given time to figure out how to get it to workout.

What was supposed to take 10 min took 40. When I went to leave and got in car it was running with drivers window down and fob in the cup holder. He also parked in a handicapped space. I left and suddenly remembered that the tank needed filled. So I went back to the sales area and asked to speak to Adam. A girl went back but Adam never came. Rather Dean Z. approached me. I was like I asked for Adam he was like can I have your fob so someone from service can get the tank filled.
