Cute little pet store not located too far from the MacMillan Pier. One of my favorite things about this store is their selection of leashes and collars. They have many designs related specifically to Cape Cod, which is so cool! I loved the ones with the shape of Cape Cod, lobsters, whales, sailing, pride flags, seashells and beach designs on them. This type of item would be my top pick for a souvenir from here. They had a good size pet bakery section as well with many colorful dog treats. I also liked their t-shirt section for humans. They carry other typical pet boutique items like car magnets or socks with pictures of specific breeds on them. Adorable selection of pet related greeting cards. Nice section of dog toys, but pricey. This is P-town though, they only have a short operating season, so items tend to be expensive up here. read more

A cute little pet store on crowded Commercial Street. It has mostly special treats, collars, leashes, dog related home décor and gifts. Not to much toys, and what they do have is for small dogs. No food here either. They put ample clean water out on the door step for passing by pups which is a nice gesture. AC works great! read more

Went to the local pet store here in Provincetown on Commercial Street to get my furry pet some shoes. He got some blisters on his paws from walking on the sand and some pebbles the day before. The owner was super nice and helped us find shoes from my dog. She put them on for him to make sure they fit properly. Then she also gave my dog some home baked cheese fries as a treat, which we bought more for the road later. There are so many adorable harnesses and leashes in the store as well as other pet supplies. I just had to buy a harness for my dog as a souvenir. The cutest pet store for everyone with their fur friends to check out in town! read more

BUYER BEWARE!! There is a TINY LITTLE SIGN posted in back of the cashwrap that reads "no refunds, exchange only". I didn't see it (because it's TINY) when I bought an expensive item here.. When I tried returning it JUST 2 DAYS LATER, UNUSED and with the ORIGINAL TAGS ATTACHED, I was completely denied a return, even after expressing dissatisfaction with the product. I was even indirectly accused of using the UNUSED item. Such a terrible and inconsiderate way to run a business.. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Will NEVER shop here again. Much better prices AND customer service on AMAZON. read more

I am pleased to update my earlier review. I received a response indicating the new collar had finally been mailed. I was informed that the owner had inadvertently put aside the collar in a wrong color and had to order a new one to match the leash we bought, and that was the cause of the further delay. Stoped in (with two GSDs at home, can never resist such places). Nice selection of collars, accessories, and a few snacks. Nice owner -- friendly and outgoing. Prices are what you'd expect (a) on Commercial Street, and (b) in a low volume, low margins small shop. This ain't Amazon -- but it's worth a few extra bucks to support a local business. Wow. I'D eat those dog biscuits. Seriously. Paws & Whiskers store relocated this year. A little further down Commercial than it used to be, in a slightly smaller space, but still supplying plenty of dog gear. Leashes, collars, toys, treats, bowls, balls...all that jazz. Plus human goods, like bumper stickers and mugs and socks and shirts. Pricey, but what did you expect from Provincetown? This store isn't really a dog supply store as much as it's a dog accessory store. Sort of the Bass Pro Shops of dog stores, really, in price and in selection. read more

All you heard was the word "amazon" and said , loudly and rudely while you had a mouth full of chips, " don't use that word in my store". Yes, as you say "it is nice to be able to into a store and buy things. " I put 3 over priced boxes of biscuits back on your shelf, went on amazon and ordered them. I love dog stores so I wanted to stop in to bring home my baby from vacation. Everything was pretty expensive (like most stores in Provincetown) so I didn't end up buying anything. It's still a cute place to poke around in. read more

I bought a cute dog cookie here to take home to my dog. He devoured the bone so it must have tasted great, however I was cleaning up doggie diarriha at 4 am the next morning and again and again later in day. I'm not sure what was in the cookie but I wouldn't feed it to my dog again. read more

For the animals lovers out there, this shop is great. Items for many different breeds and they had several mugs, socks, stickers, etc. The shirts are great.. mine is a sweet little v neck and it says "It's my dog's world. I'm just living in it." My hubs says "If my dog doesn't like you, then I probably won't either". We bought our dogs some of the home made bones and they LOVE them. Friendly and helpful staff! read more

Visited the store over Memorial Day weekend. Bought some biscuits for my Shiba and a T-shirt for me. My Shiba loved the biscuits, but when I got home and put on the t-shirt, it literally started tearing at the creases. Not happy about spending a pricey sum for a t-shirt I'll never be able to wear. read more

We purchased a halter from this store. After going home to CT, we found the halter did not fit our pup. After talking to the store worker via phone, we were told, "just return the halter along with the extra price of a larger one plus postage and they will send you a new one". We did all that and now find that we do not have any halter, are out the check for both the postage and new halter as well as the cost of the original. This happened last Oct in 2010. To top it off, the manager has never once spoke to us on the phone or returned our calls. Some service. Now attorneys have to get involved in it. What a waste. Be careful with this place. read more

Very, very poor customer service/communication by owner. Purchased a collar, had a receipt, returned within less than 24 hours; store worker would not refund money. Owner contacted, came to store thinking there would be professional communication. Owner came up to me and stated "I don't need this today." Told me I was not welcome at her store ever again all because I wanted to make a return. Rude, Obnoxious, and not customer friendly. read more

I don't normally write negative reviews but for this I am making an exception. I was at the store on October 22nd and I ordered a Red Dingo dog tag. The order form says it takes 7 - 10 days to receive. After about a week I went on Red Dingo's website to check my order. There was no information on it. So I called Paws and Whiskers and got their voicemail (which says they are open 7 days a week). I left a message. I think called Red Dingo. They told me they never received the order and told me they would call the store. I checked the status the next day and it said the order had been received so I assumed all was well. It has been almost a month and I haven't received anything so I called Red Dingo again. They told me that they entered the into after they spoke to me but still had not received the order from Paws and Whiskers. They had also called and left a message and sent an email on my behalf but no one reached out to them. I called the store again today and again got their voicemail. I have already paid for this product and would like to know why they never sent it and why no one has responded. If they are indeed closed for the season, they should 1 change their voicemail and 2 still check their email and voicemail. I can'y begin to tell you how disappointed I am. Not only did I order the tag from them but I also bought some of their homemade dog treats for 8 dogs in our family (pricey). I am beyond infuriated. read more
