My two Paint horses are extremely happy at Table Mountain Ranch! Between getting fed four--YES…read moreFOUR--times a day and turnout in the 'big pens' they are happy campers. They both look healthy and fit. Water buckets are always full, and get cleaned daily. They haven't seen this type of care since, well...ever. Riding out back up North Table Mountain is very enjoyable. There isn't even a road to cross before you're right on the trail. We're having fun exploring, and we love TMR! Nice indoor arena, three outdoor arenas (one dressage), round pens, small cross-country course, and trails. What else could you ask for?

Between Fairmount, where I get training in Western and Table Mountain, where I get worked in English, there's a nice balance of training styles and horses. Rachel's got a background in both, and a nice selection of horses to work you on. In addition you can come in your off time if she has a horse available and ride on your own to practice, which is a nice feature. I appreciate Rachel's steady clear style, where she picks an area to concentrate on and that gets the full attention. She knows to trust me to continue to work on my own. I also value that I can bring my own tack if I want to go bareback saddlepad. The folks at this stable knows that I will stay longer to help clean up the arena when others don't clean up their horses' droppings, and I also take the time to make sure all tack is put where it belongs. That also means that the tacking area is cleaned of horse "emanations" which they all seem to save for when we're taking everything off for the class. Bless 'em. While I don't own or lease, any time I ride, that's my horse- and everything about it is my responsibility, from ensuring its safety to making sure I clean up behind it. There are great tack rooms, the indoor facility makes for superb events and you can ride all year. Sure you have to share Table Mountain with bikers, hikers and walkers, but this is Colorado. I recommend Rachel as a trainer, and there other specialized trainers out here as well.

A Truly Memorable Alpaca Experience…read more We visited Smooth Alpaca Experience as a group of six, ranging in age from 12 to mid-60s, and every one of us absolutely loved it. Joe was wonderful -- fun, informative, kind, humorous, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made the entire experience engaging for both kids and adults alike. We especially enjoyed getting to know all of the alpacas, along with the hilarious three brother goats who definitely put on a performance for us! We learned so much about alpaca behavior, personalities, eating habits, the shearing process, and the care involved in raising them. It was also fascinating to see the finished alpaca products, including socks, hats, gloves, sweaters, and blankets, and to better understand the process from animal to finished product. Overall, this was a unique, educational, and genuinely enjoyable experience that we would highly recommend. Joe made the day extra special!

You can tell he's passionate about what he does, and his enthusiasm makes the experience even more special. We learned so much while still having plenty of time to interact and enjoy the animals. If you're looking for a peaceful, educational, and truly heartwarming experience, this is it. Highly recommend to anyone

With lots of folks thinking the same thing, we slipped in and grabbed a buzzer to keep us company for the 15 minute wait. Just a short 10 minutes later, we sat down at a four top and soon had four massive mason jars of water sliding across the table to us. I had been eying their Cucumber and Fire cocktail while waiting and it didn't disappoint. The refreshing cucumber balanced the jalapeño really well. Yum. The parents split a fabulous looking French Dip and rated it well (4 outta 5 stars). Their massive fans and we're looking for a bit more flavor in the horseradish dip for a perfect score. Not bad. Me? I ordered the Melted Monk sandwich with tomato bisque. I nixed the kettle chips. Absolute fan of the bisque. I could have had a gallon of it - really flavorful with great mouth feel. So good. I wasn't a fan of the Melted Monk sandwich, but also wasn't sure how the green apple slices would pair with the caramelized onions and raclette cheese, on cranberry walnut bread. Sounded interesting. Not bad, but wouldn't order it again. That aside, I'm still a fan. Teller's has always been a great choice and I'll return to some of my favorites next time. Never hurts to try something new! My guy raved about his Ahi Burger, and man, it was so much food. His tots were so good! I'm likely ordering this next time. Also - I almost forgot! The oysters were amazing - under fresh, if you can believe it. Teller's gets 6 deliveries a week of seafood. It totally shows. Yum.

I definitely recommend stopping in to buy some cheese for home or for a quick lunch/sandwich.

Located in the red rocks south west of denver, this restaurant has been around for over 60 years and seats over 300 indoor and outdoor with tons of space and room to seat large groups, events or intimate twosomes. There is a Cantina which was recently remodeled but we never went in there. Seemed like a popular spot as well. Service is great and personable. Not too much and not too little. It's modeled after a real historic fort in southern Colorado and brings a definite southwest vibe. Service is very spot on for a restaurant of this caliber. Food is great and priced to come with high expectations for quality and taste which I think they delivered on. Steaks were huge and cooked perfectly. Sides and any number of options available but I just like horseradish with my ribeye. Salads and appetizers were great. Table was swamped at one point and staff was great to help manage things so that you were not feeling awkwardly limited. Drinks came fast and delivered on expectations including ordering a Jim Bridger which is no longer on the menu but available for locals who care. Dessert was so good and wow, enough for four people to share. Also, bread was on the table and delivered hot and fresh. From start to finish we had a fantastic experience. Highly recommend The Fort.

Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Service is quick! Food was also good. Bison Taretare was delicious especially with the sauce and the cilantro. I did wish the quail egg was a not over cooked. I think the yolk would have been a great addition to the creaminess. But that's just my preference. The Fort Game plate was good to share! Shared it with my wife. Bison had a rich and natural umami. They cook it so well! Venison was honestly our fav. Cooked so well and super tender. Had the compound better on it too so flavor was excellent. Went really well with their berry sauce. The quail was also cooked juicy and tender, but I feel like the teriyaki taste was unbalanced. Some bites were a lil too salty while others were just right! Potatoes (not pictured) were too salty for my taste but the carrots were super delicious! Great place for a date night and would recommend.
