Rare Finds and Well-Done Service: The Denver Hospitality Standard On my first visit to Denver, my local friends--who take hospitality very seriously--insisted we dine at Manning's. After experiencing it firsthand, I can see why it's a staple in their rotation. The Atmosphere We arrived for our 7 PM reservation to a restaurant that was absolutely buzzing. Every table was full, and the energy was electric from the moment we stepped through the doors. Despite how busy it was, we were seated promptly and the service remained attentive and seamless throughout the evening. The Main Event As someone who is incredibly particular about how my steak is prepared, I was thrilled with the execution here. The Steak: Cooked to absolute perfection. It is rare to find a chef who hits the mark so precisely without overcooking, but Manning's delivered. The Sides: The mashed potatoes and gravy were the perfect comfort pairing, but the real surprise was the asparagus. Shared with the table, it arrived with a vibrant bright green color and that elusive, perfect crisp-tender snap. The Verdict Whether you are a local who hasn't made it in yet or a visitor looking for a quintessential Denver steakhouse experience, Manning's is a must-visit. The combination of high-energy ambiance and technical culinary skill makes it a standout. I'll definitely be back on my next trip to the Mile High City!

Emily was our server. We came in today for lunch. We ordered the Mango salad the Monday, French Onion special with a baked potato, fully loaded. Also the Monday steak, special 7 oz. with frys and house saled with Baltic vinegar dressing. All was cooked to perfection. We asked if they could make a chocolate Martini, which was not on the menu. Which the bartender was able to accommodate with one of the most amazing chocolate Martinis I've ever tasted. This is a must try you guys, if you're looking for a great steak place this is it. Check it out...

In town for a wedding and decided to try Manning's and we're so glad we did. Despite being busy, it didn't feel too loud and conversation was easy to have. Our party included two kids who take dining seriously and our waitress Haley was so helpful and accommodating. From the spinach and artichoke dip to the scallops to the rib eye and chocolate creme brulee, the food was fantastic! Definitely worth the stop if you are in the Denver/Red Rocks area. Make a reservation.

We went to Manning's for dinner last night and had a great experience. Jaxon was an excellent server, very friendly and knowledgeable, and anticipated our every need. You sadly don't get service like that around Denver very much these days. I had the boneless ribeye steak with lemon orzo and vegetables. The orzo was just ok, I would love to see more vegetable options on the side menu. My husband had the New York strip with au gratin potatoes and we shared the Caesar salad. Our steaks were cooked perfectly medium rare and were so flavorful. My husband also had the Mezcal old-fashioned, which was a delight! My only critique would be that the hostess could be a little more friendly and welcoming. We would definitely come back again!

Had a nice meal with family while I was in town. My sister made reservation and we were seated right away on a Saturday night. Only criticism was dinner salads were served b4 our appetizers that we order separately 10-15 min earlier. Boys all had steak, fish and pasta for the ladies All reported to be yummy and a treat. We had a wonderful evening as you can see below.

Great service and amazing food! My husband and I went in for our wedding anniversary and was promptly greeted by a very sweet server. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip, (which was Devine) And then i followed up with bbq bacon burger with fries. Mannings has the best fries, hands down!

SEP2024 We came in for a friends outing. Everything was in high chairs where we were seated though we did have a tv on nearby for the game. Service was friendly and helpful with any questions, water refills infrequent. Since there wasn't really much of a vegetarian meal specifically and I didn't feel like a salad, I got practically everything else on the menu side wise. My partner's order was much easier as she got the ribeye. Between us we got the mac n cheese, the orzo, broccoli mornay, brussel sprouts, along with happy hour shishito peppers, truffle tots, and the beef tips for good measure. Everything was pretty good I'd say. Ribeye was a little overdone, but the different vegetable dishes were cooked well. Needed a bit of salt overall to round out the taste, but that's easy to fix at least. The one I liked among them was the orzo. Nice light on the butter, and would be a great addition as a side.

Manning's came highly recommended by a talkative and friendly Uber driver. Maybe I built up too high of expectations, but my experience was marginal. Or pretty "mid" as the kids would say. Maybe it was a bad first impression- I made a reservation on the restaurant's linked Resy site days before. Saturday, 6 p.m. for 2 in the main dining room. However, when we arrived (on time), the kind host had no such reservation. Luckily he had a high top table in the sun/patio room in an otherwise packed restaurant. The patio room had overhead heaters and was comfortable, moderately loud from the busy atmosphere, and offered a casual, low frill, bar and grill environment. Service was good- very friendly server and attentive staff. Food was decent but not extra ordinary. We ordered the Caesar salad (split), 12 oz NY strip ($30) with lemon orzo pasta, and 7 oz filet ($30) with order of scallops ($12) and side of asparagus. Of these, the best item was the Caesar salad which for $16, it should be. Dressing had excellent flavor and accompaniments were fantastic, and salad was fresh. The steaks came cooked as ordered but were average. I question the quality of cuts. Definitely not prime or choice, suspect select cuts based on the tenderness and flavor. Scallops were cooked right but tasted fishier than they should- probably should have known better than ordering fish in Colorado. Asparagus and orzo was cooked appropriately and had good flavor. Whiskey cocktails ($14 each) including the old fashioned and peach sour, were enjoyable.

My husband and I have had our eye on Manning's since we moved to the area about 4 months ago and always drive past it. We saw how reasonable the pricing is for a Steakhouse and its lowkey location and wanted to visit at some point. We decided to finally go for a special dinner with family visiting and it was a great experience! We arrived there around 6:30pm on a Thursday and luckily were able to be seated right away. It was busy! We both ordered New York Strips cooked medium with Fully Loaded Baked Potato side and the Red Pepper Chimichurri Sauce. My mom ordered the Boneless Ribeye with the House Salad side and Honey Lime Vinaigrette. The Ribeye was tender and was perfectly seasoned. My NY Strip was overcooked, but had an amazing crust and flavor regardless. The Chimichurri sauce is a 10/10 and added depth of flavor with its herby vinegar punch. Kyle was the staff member that gave us attentive, friendly and incredible service for our dinner. He asked how our meals were and we admittedly told him my New York strip was overcooked to which he apologized and offered to have it remade. We really appreciated it but the steak was still delicious and a redo was not necessary. Kyle offered us a free dessert instead as a way to make up for the error. He had an upbeat attitude and he worked very hard during the time we were dining. We decided on the tiramisu which was not too sweet, had a soft silky texture and the perfect portion size after a big meal. The food and service were great and we will definitely be back again for a special meal at Manning's. The atmosphere was casual and there was upbeat music playing in the background. I would recommend making a reservation just to ensure you can get a table!

The vibe is classic cozy steakhouse--dim lighting, comfortable booths, good for a casual night out. We kicked off with the shrimp cocktail, which was good: decent-sized chilled shrimp with a tangy cocktail sauce. Asked for extra raw horseradish to really make it pop! The new bread offering was much better. Super-soft sweet rolls were an upgrade over the previous offering. For mains, we tried the ribsteak (bone-in) and the sirloin with mushrooms and truffle from the Winter Grill menu. Both were cooked to our requested temps (medium-rare), juicy enough, and the grilling was competent with a nice char. The ribsteak came with sautéed mushrooms that added some nice flavor. The sirloin featured cremini and shiitake mushrooms in a creamy truffle sauce, which was rich and indulgent--the sauce was probably the best part of the plate. That said, the quality of the meat itself felt a bit questionable; it was tender but lacked the deep, beefy flavor or marbling you'd hope for at this price point. More disappointingly, there wasn't much discernible difference between the ribsteak and the sirloin in terms of taste or texture--both felt pretty similar, which made the higher-priced ribsteak seem less worth it. We finished with the Billy Miner Pie, a classic here: mocha ice cream on chocolate cookie crust, topped with hot fudge and caramel. It's rich and satisfying--definitely a highlight of the meal. Our server was friendly and efficient, no complaints there, and the place wasn't overly busy. Overall, it's a reliable chain steakhouse option if you're in the area--good enough for what it is, but the main reason we come here is proximity. Solid, but room for improvement on the star of the show: the steaks.

We made our reservation over a month prior - our table was set back from the windows even when several tables were available with views (which they quickly filled with other parties seated almost simultaneously). Not that big of a deal really - we didn't request a specific table, but feel like they should seat parties first come/first serve according to reservation time and best table availability. It took some time for our server to get to us - it was pretty clear they had been run pretty ragged through the evening. They really did nothing to help the evening feel special - mentioned the prix fixe menu but spent no time walking through the à la carte menu, didn't offer suggestions on the food or wine list (a sommelier no less). They were clearly over it - we could read, so went through the options on our own. Took some time but they finally got back to us with our kids' drinks, to take our wine order and we were ready to order our food. Well - go figure- the prix fixe menu option we were all going to order was now sold out (surf and turf - a Valentine's Day must!). Super disappointed. We had to pivot to other items. My wife and son ordered à la carte (which of course was meaningfully more expensive). And my daughter and I split the Chateaubriand. Why they couldn't replace the prix fixe option that was sold out with another similar option is beyond me. Our appetizer salads (Caesar) were good but obnoxiously large (annoying when you have kids). The lobster bisque was good, average. Unfortunately an inordinate amount of time passed between appetizers and entrees - so, appetites weren't what they could be. That said, entrees and sides were delightful - steaks (Filet, NY Strip) were cooked perfectly and the sides (Brussels Sprouts and Mac and cheese) were great. Overall the food was good, execution is summarized by a restaurant just overwhelmed. We probably won't be back anytime soon - there are so many steakhouses in town. Valentine's Day is an opportunity to reinforce a special night out and this just felt average even though the price tag was not.

He highly recommended the strawberry margarita, noted that it wasn't sweet, and that they make all of their syrups, flavoring etc. in house, and this was a standout newer addition. He was right - it was delicious, refreshing for a hot summer day, and best of all, not overly sweet. For dinner, I had the filet, which came with a generous portion of super creamy, delicious mashed potatoes, asparagus, and the most wonderfully flavorful au jus. My steak was perfectly cooked the way I like it (medium rare). The dessert, a 'creme brûlée' was not at all your typical creme brûlée, and honestly, for me, fell a bit flat. I think it was made with some type of goat cheese, didn't have the lovely custardy/smooth consistency, volume, or depth. The fresh fruit on top was nice, but I only had a bite or so of this dessert we shared. Maybe call it something else, or alternatively, make sure when people order it they know it's non-traditional creme brûlée. Otherwise, wonderful meal, with great friends and we will absolutely be back!

Creamy baked potato, side salad and Texas toast is still their signature sides. This place is not for the bougie, as long as you can overlook the decor, I'd recommend giving it a try as a Denver long time staple! We always either get the Porterhouse or the New York, just really depend on appetite of the day. Always got their iced tea too, really refreshing with the steak. If you want a beer with your steam, you'd want to go to the lounge side. Great service on the lounge side. Feel free to add a jalapeño to your steak at no extra cost!
