She was over the top with her kindness and went out of her way to make sure every accommodation was met. Service like hers is rare and made the night feel truly special. The Food: * The Steaks: We had the Filet Mignon (served over savory mushrooms) and the Bone-In Ribeye. Both were cooked to a flawless sear, incredibly tender, and topped with a rich compound butter that took them to the next level. * The Sides: You have to try the Jalapeño Creamed Corn. Very large restaurant. Tiny parking lot but can park in the neighborhood streets. Old school bar restarurant vibe. Ribeye- very small. Asked for medium rare- it was burnt/black on the outside and completely tasteless on the inside. It was super oily as well and lots of fat on it. The side of cheesy potatoes was drenched in oil- my partner didn't even finish it. Steak Bachemel sandwich was tasty but very messy. The fries were over fried so unenjoyable. Service was extremely slow even though they weren't busy. We waited around after we finished eating- for 15 minutes until I gave up and went and asked someone to ask our server for the check. I remember eating here once before many years ago but I forgot to review. I did remember it was about the same quality of food and service. Emily was our server. We came in today for lunch. We ordered the Mango salad the Monday, French Onion special with a baked potato, fully loaded. Also the Monday steak, special 7 oz. with frys and house saled with Baltic vinegar dressing. All was cooked to perfection. We asked if they could make a chocolate Martini, which was not on the menu. In town for a wedding and decided to try Manning's and we're so glad we did. Despite being busy, it didn't feel too loud and conversation was easy to have. Our party included two kids who take dining seriously and our waitress Haley was so helpful and accommodating. We went to Manning's for dinner last night and had a great experience. Jaxon was an excellent server, very friendly and knowledgeable, and anticipated our every need. You sadly don't get service like that around Denver very much these days. I had the boneless ribeye steak with lemon orzo and vegetables. The orzo was just ok, I would love to see more vegetable options on the side menu. My husband had the New York strip with au gratin potatoes and we shared the Caesar salad. One of my coworkers enjoyed their steak, the other ordered medium rare for his filet mignon, it came out very rare. I made the mistake of ordering pasta at a steak house. The shrimp in it was good, the sauce was more of a cheese sauce than anything else, overwhelming flavor that was average in taste. My Sweetheart and I recently visited Mannings for an impromptu week night dinner. This was our third visit and the food is consistently good. On this occasion we both opted for the 7 oz filet. We were both considering getting the Mannings signature potatoes but our waiter suggested that due to the size of the sides, one of us gets one item and the other gets another item so we can share. I'm glad he gave us that advice. I opted for a salad and it was good to break up the richness and creaminess of the potatoes. The steak was seasoned nicely and done to my medium preference. The Manhattan was a pleasant cocktail. My only gripe is the time it takes to bring your check upon completion of your meal. Perfect medium rare. It was so juicy and delicious. My au gratin potatoes were good, just not traditional au gratin potatoes. They were a touch oily, but that's with the nature and my boyfriend and I devoured them. He had the special; grilled halibut with coconut rice and pineapple chutney. Holy crap, what a dish. My wife ordered the fillet and found it very chewy or as she said was the worse fillet she's ever had. The manger offered her piccata chicken ( which was as dry as my blackened chicken) also not very good. The 4 ounces of piccata chicken was also $32 the same as the fillet. The waitress never told us about the Denver restaurant week menu. We also mentioned on our online reservation that it was our anniversary and no one even mentioned that to us. My partner's order was much easier as she got the ribeye. Between us we got the mac n cheese, the orzo, broccoli mornay, brussel sprouts, along with happy hour shishito peppers, truffle tots, and the beef tips for good measure. Everything was pretty good I'd say. Ribeye was a little overdone, but the different vegetable dishes were cooked well. Needed a bit of salt overall to round out the taste, but that's easy to fix at least. The one I liked among them was the orzo. Manning's came highly recommended by a talkative and friendly Uber driver. Maybe I built up too high of expectations, but my experience was marginal. Or pretty "mid" as the kids would say. Maybe it was a bad first impression- I made a reservation on the restaurant's linked Resy site days before. Saturday, 6 p.m. for 2 in the main dining room. However, when we arrived (on time), the kind host had no such reservation. Luckily he had a high top table in the sun/patio room in an otherwise packed restaurant. The patio room had overhead heaters and was comfortable, moderately loud from the busy atmosphere, and offered a casual, low frill, bar and grill environment. Service was good- very friendly server and attentive staff. Food was decent but not extra ordinary. We ordered the Caesar salad (split), 12 oz NY strip ($30) with lemon orzo pasta, and 7 oz filet ($30) with order of scallops ($12) and side of asparagus. Of these, the best item was the Caesar salad which for $16, it should be. Dressing had excellent flavor and accompaniments were fantastic, and salad was fresh. The steaks came cooked as ordered but were average. I question the quality of cuts. Definitely not prime or choice, suspect select cuts based on the tenderness and flavor. Scallops were cooked right but tasted fishier than they should- probably should have known better than ordering fish in Colorado. Asparagus and orzo was cooked appropriately and had good flavor. Whiskey cocktails ($14 each) including the old fashioned and peach sour, were enjoyable. read more

We've been to Mannings a few times now and each time it has been superb! I keep wanting to try new menu items but I keep having the same steak as it's perfect! And reasonably priced compared to same steak at other steak houses.the service has always been good, they seem to have plenty of staff. My husband and I have had our eye on Manning's since we moved to the area about 4 months ago and always drive past it. We saw how reasonable the pricing is for a Steakhouse and its lowkey location and wanted to visit at some point. We decided to finally go for a special dinner with family visiting and it was a great experience! We arrived there around 6:30pm on a Thursday and luckily were able to be seated right away. It was busy! We both ordered New York Strips cooked medium with Fully Loaded Baked Potato side and the Red Pepper Chimichurri Sauce. My mom ordered the Boneless Ribeye with the House Salad side and Honey Lime Vinaigrette. The Ribeye was tender and was perfectly seasoned. My NY Strip was overcooked, but had an amazing crust and flavor regardless. The Chimichurri sauce is a 10/10 and added depth of flavor with its herby vinegar punch. Kyle was the staff member that gave us attentive, friendly and incredible service for our dinner. He asked how our meals were and we admittedly told him my New York strip was overcooked to which he apologized and offered to have it remade. We really appreciated it but the steak was still delicious and a redo was not necessary. Kyle offered us a free dessert instead as a way to make up for the error. He had an upbeat attitude and he worked very hard during the time we were dining. We decided on the tiramisu which was not too sweet, had a soft silky texture and the perfect portion size after a big meal. The food and service were great and we will definitely be back again for a special meal at Manning's. The atmosphere was casual and there was upbeat music playing in the background. Starting with the good: I cannot say enough about the service. We were excited not to go into downtown or some fancy place for steak. And they were able to seat us and the employees were great. Prices are reasonable. And plenty of parking around their lot. Not so positive: steaks didn't really have flavor (the meat itself, not the seasoning). Mac and cheese was grainy and even my kids didn't want it (). I got scallops as a side, but was kind of disappointed that there were only two & they were also just okay. The stuffed potato that we tried was neutral. Nothing special. And the seafood pasta was ok in flavor but seafood was overcooked. My wife and I wanted a nice steakhouse while we visited Colorado and we were certainly let down here. My go to is a Filet Oscar Style. This was the worst one I've ever had. The hollandaise sauce was very poor. It tasted like velveta cheese. The crab that they put on it was very low quality as well. The steak was cooked a little over and wasn't seasoned very well either. The mac n cheese I had as my side was okay. I did finish that. I ended up finishing the steak but I had to wipe off the hollandaise. The steak reminded me of a lower quality steak, not a filet. The service definitely added a star to my review. The staff was kind and attentive. The restaurant ambiance was more of a roadhouse than a steakhouse, but honestly that doesn't bother me at all.
