Good guys mobile detailing came out to my former residence and detailed my car. They did a really bad job. So bad that I asked them to comeback and fix it. Long story short, they didn't. They completely missed the interior and I paid for it. After going back and forth, I pursued other remedies (filed a BBB complaint) they never responded. BBB indicated I should purse other routes, but I figured that Good Guys weren't Good Guys and respond to that either. I have pictures and screen shots of the condition of my car. I uploaded them to Yelp, but I'm not sure if they are anymore since this review keeps getting taken down. I don't get this catty, but I don't like shady businesses. Look at the pictures that are updated on the site, you'll see the quality of work performed and it's what I experienced as well. I also uploaded a photo of a message that the owner just sent to me. I always love doing my own detail to my car but I got side tracked with work and spending time with my family that I didn't get a change to detail my car and ended up getting some bad water spots on everything. Water spots were removed from the windows and body of the car like nothing. Staff was very professional and arrived a few minutes before the scheduled time and started right away. My husband left a review, but I don't think his quite the job they did justice ;). I'm pretty shocked at some of the bad reviews on here after they job they did on my car. Let me start by saying, my car was detailed as a surprise because my husband knows I wouldn't subject ANYONE to cleaning my car - even as a punishment haha. He had the car done while I was at work one day so I had no say. About my car....I drive a Kia Soul and I rescue cats as well as trap them to get fixed. This results in a lot of unhappy cats in traps in my car and well, no matter what I put down the pee always seems to some how get to my interior. Combine that with general feral cat odor, plus the smell of tuna juice that inevitably spills when I'm baiting traps and you have a mild idea of how my car smelled. Sprinkle cat food all over the car and grind it in to the back interior real good (because it always spills out of the traps when I load them) and add a ton of cat hair and dog hair (because yes I have dogs too) and that should give you a good picture of the inside of my car. Seriously not good haha. The outside of my car was the lucky recipient of specs of road tar from driving through the construction areas on Kam for a couple of years and also splatter from a teal colored paint spill on an H1 on ramp that I drove through. Even though my car is only a few years old it just looked dull and older than it is (2012). Cue Mike with Good Guys. He spent 6 hours on my car and the results are unbelievable. There wasn't a single hair in my car and the smell was TOTALLY gone. I didn't know it was possible for the inside to look that good again. On the outside he managed to get rid of the paint splatter and road tar - I seriously can't believe it still. My husband had nothing but great things to say about Mike's professionalism and the care he took in cleaning my car. Made an appointment that I unfortunately could not keep. I texted Josh and told him I had to reschedule due to a prior commitment. I was busy because we just moved into a new house so we were trying to get everything situated so I did not see his text until later. The text he sent me was very unprofessional and rude. I would have rescheduled an appointment with him but after reading that text I will never go back to this company. Their website says that they spend 4 weeks one on one training, washing over 40-60 cars. Maybe they should focus on customer skills as well and teach them not to be a jerk. read more

Just had the inside of my car detailed today and it come out better then I expected. My car wasn't awful by any standard but between the dog hair, beach sand, spilled drinks, and red dirt stains it was definitely time to get it professionally cleaned. The website is easy to navigate and they were quick to respond with a quote after I requested it. Something to note is this business was not pushy or overwhelming with calls and emails for me to schedule or make an appointment. They gave me the information I requested in a very timely manner and left it up to me to schedule at date at my convenience. Upon their arrival they answered any questions I had and started working immediately. They were professional and polite. The stains, dog hair, and small smell were all removed. All in all it was a great experience and look forward to doing business with them in the future. Although the cost to get just the inside of my car detailed was over $130 it was worth the service. This company isn't just some guys that show up with a vacuum and sprays to "detail" your car. They are a professional car detailing company that comes to you and use a wide variety of tools, chemicals, and other equipment to clean the inside and outside of your vehicle. It took George twice to get my car to a level of proffessional car detailing. I did a lot of research when looking for a company to detail my husband's car. I paid for full interior and exterior which was $300. Long story short... George detailed my car at the shop and the quality of work was worse than what even I could do with my own tools at home (interior). Pictures will be attached. I didn't look notice until I got home because my husband drove it home and his only comment was, "we are never going to them again." At home I saw what a sub par George had done. I, immediately, notified Josh at which point he asked for photos and offered for them to fix the problem. George came out the next day to my house and it took him 3 "attempts" to have my interior cleaned. I had to tell him what the owner said about how to use his own tools! He claimed he had never used his tools in such away. Either he was never trained properly or he was just trying to find an excuse for his laziness. After awhile of me playing messenger between the owner and his worker of how and what to do it was finally in a condition that I was happy with my 300 dollars out of pocket. I chose to detail because I was 9 months preggo and wanted a stress free situation where I could pay someone to do what I normally do and do it right. Instead, I had to spend way more of my free time so they could fix the problem and I had to play manager and direct an employee that wasn't even mine. After posting my first 3 star review, Josh contacted me offering me a refund in exchange for removing/updating my review. I told him I didn't want a refund, but instead show me the service that the other customers claimed were 5 stars by detailing another one of my vehicles at a discount. I'm all for giving people second chances. It has been almost 2 months and NO RESPONSE. So I guess that's a no. After reading other reviews, it seems George may play the system of "oh, I didn't know" just to get away with his mistakes or lack of motivation. Bottom line, is your car detailing job will depend on how George feels that day... do I feel like doing a good job today? Is it hot? I don't feel like working as hard today... so this will be the lucky one that gets a crappy job done and let's just hope that they don't say anything. read more

Talk about convenience. And awesomeness. An excellent product and stellar service. This detailer has it all. I've used them twice and each time, my car has felt brand spankin' new. There is not a single speck of dirt or sand to be found in or on my car once these guys finish. You could use a magnifying glass to inspect your car and still not find anything! Okay, that might be going a bit too far, but you're most likely getting the picture. They have a poly-seal coating that goes on the exterior of your vehicle which protects it from Hawaii's sometimes-harsh elements (especially if you live near the ocean) and the ever-present threat of what bird poop can do to your car's paint job for up to a year. A car dealership will charge you $800 or more for this type of poly-seal, but Good Guys does it for a fraction of that price. Each time I've had my car detailed by these guys, I've been impressed with both the speed and quality of their service. The guys who come to do the job are friendly and professional and work hard to make my car shiny and happy. This last time, two co-workers insisted I take them out to lunch (just across the street, no less) so that they could enjoy sitting in such a pretty and clean car. And this might sound weird, but I fell in love with my car again after it was detailed; I had been getting annoyed with my gas guzzler but once Good Guys were done with her, my affections were renewed for this once-dirty and sad SUV. Best of all, for us busy, hardworking professionals, Good Guys comes out to wherever is convenient to get the job done. They've met me in Kailua and detailed my car while I was at work. Showed up with 2 workers and they did a GREAT job esp from what it looked like it was sooo dirty inside! Could of did the air vents better but I didn't care because the truck looked great! I called in Good Guys Mobile Detail when I was in a pinch. I had a rental while I was on vacation. I needed a quick buff on my bumper when I tagged a pole when it jumped behind my dodge Caravan. I was flying out the next day and didn't want the rental place to gouge me on the return. I sent him pictures to confirm the work and agreed to terms. We communicated very well and he drove on down to the Aulani Hotel to do the work. When he arrived he knew the work didn't need a buff and recommended another solution, I agreed and he removed the smudge and it was better than when I got the car. Miracles do happen! I just got my 2005 Honda serviced today with George, from Good Guys. I didn't take any before pictures, but believe me, it was an eyesore! Heavy water spots, oxidation, and dullness. Phenomenal service from the moment I received a price quote to the end. + Consultation: JOSH was extremely thorough with breaking down the types of services/prices based on my initial inquiry. He answered all my questions/concerns, leaving no stone unturned. Day before: Received a courtesy text from Josh reminding me about my scheduled appointment. Day of service: 1.Received two phone calls from George. One was to let me know that he would be arriving shortly, and the second was to notify me that he was outside. 2. Prior to working on my car, George went over everything that would be done. 3. I was notified periodically throughout the service on the status. As far as the quality of service done to my vehicle I give them a perfect review. Upon calling and getting a quote from Josh I was really impressed with his detailed information in the services included with the premium package. I disclosed I had some major bad water spots he said that it was included in the package and that worst case scenario they would buff it out. The price quote was $275-$329 for my black Acura MDX. Josh scheduled me for the next day and told me the work could take 4-5hrs. The next day George arrived. There were a few issues as far as communication was concerned. It seemed as if he was not looking forward to doing the work, he even told me that we could reschedule because my water spots were quite bad. I explained to him that Josh and I had already discussed that concern and the water spots (with or without buffing) was part of my package. I did get a bit irritated so I cancelled and told him there was no need to service my car anymore. After George left, Josh called me. He was extremely professional and continued to tell me the services that I would receive (just as he told me the day before) nothing was different. I think George just didn't understand. He seemed skeptical on wether or not he could actually remove my water spots. After all that misunderstanding George began detailing my car. It was awesome to be able to get stuff done at home while my car was getting serviced. Overall the service took 31/2 hrs. Was washed, waxed, the hood was buffed and all water spots were removed. The interior was steamed and cleaned perfectly. The only thing George couldn't do was remove dried up gum from one of the windows. However, me and my husband were 100% satisfied with the car detail. My only negative is that George broke my drinking glass, that's what I get for offering someone water with a glass full of ice -_-. The worst part is he didn't even tell me, he was about to leave when I asked were my glass was. Also he damaged my water hose storage bin by shoving it behind the trash bins when it was originally hanging. Just wished he would have taken better care of my stuff. Anyhow, back to Josh... He gave me 5% military discount, 5% referral/service a 2nd vehicle discount and if you pay cash he won't charge taxes. Overall I paid $270 + $30 tip =$300 for an awesome car detail. One star for great response time. I specifically asked for a detail that included interior fabric cleaning. Paid for a deluxe detail package and was not very happy with the results. Interior cleaning didn't even get out minor dirt or water spots. Parts of the interior trim not wiped down. Windshield has a textured clear look now making everything distorted. Tried cleaning and cannot get the film off. Got the run around on the phone and am completely frustrated with the whole thing. I'd have been better off paying $60 for a dry detail on Kapiolani vs $350 with less positive results. read more

So my son got sick 2 days ago and threw up all over the inside of our 2017 Dodge Durango. He was sitting in the passenger seat and in mid conversation just threw up everywhere. And I mean EVERYWHERE. We have heated/cooled seats so there's tiny holes in the leather. Well, they were all clogged up after my son was done. I tried to clean up most of the vomit but I just didn't have the right tools to really get everything out. I tried looking around and the prices at other places were ridiculous. $400 something to clean my interior?! For a couple hundred more I could've just replaced my entire seat! I scheduled my appointment through this app and Joshua was very fast in emailing me back. Tbh he emailed me that night and I didn't think he'd be that quick so I didn't see it until the next day. He explained the right package for what I needed and what all the different procedures were, their purpose, etc. He had openings for the next 2 days and I was so thankful because I didn't want all that vomit to ferment and have that smell stick. David was the guy that came to clean my truck and he did such an amazing job! I literally came back to a brand new truck! The seat was completely cleaned. All the tiny holes of vomit are now cleared. The smell was completely gone. And all the cracks and crevices were cleaned and sanitized. I cannot even begin to express how pleased I am with this company and the service they provided! I would definitely recommend these guys!! Such an amazing job! I read a lot of bad reviews on here about this company and the owner, but honestly I think those ppl are just idiots and I'd like to speak on those reviews. First of all, ppl need to understand that this is a BUSINESS! This is not your next door neighbor doing you a favor, this isn't a local sports team doing a charity event, or gas station car wash. The ppl that work for this company and the owner have a living to make. They have bills, families, everything that we customers have. So yeah, if you cancel without the proper amount of time, I'd be pissed too! My dentist is so strict that if you don't cancel within 48 hours of your appointment, you're automatically charged $100. Ever heard of "time is money?!" Cause it is ppl! If you're in the process of moving, why would you schedule anything during that time? That sounds like piss poor planning on your part. And second of all, they are a MOBILE detailing place. How the hell you let someone leave your house if they didn't do a great job?! That's the time to speak up and say something. Not wait a day or 2. If David did a bad job today, I would've called Joshua immediately before David left. If you ship your vehicle, if you rent a vehicle, or if you borrow a vehicle, it is YOUR responsibility to speak up about any damages and make sure it's documented. The same with this! If you notice there's something wrong, say something! Document it! Come on ppl, it's common sense! And how the hell you pay for shitty service?! That just sounds fishy. If I go to a restaurant and my food isn't cooked right, the service is bad, or anything is wrong, better believe I'm not paying full price for anything! I'm sure if these guys did such a bad job, any sane person wouldn't pay without getting some kind of compensation or solution mapped out before handing over their card or cash. Our 10-year-old car looked brand new after we called Good Guys! We had our Honda Element detailed before we posted it to sell it. It was a total beach car, dog car, dirty and well used. It was so clean afterward, I couldn't even believe it was the same car! I couldn't find a speck or spot on the car, and the inside was immaculate. I'm going to keep this short. "THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING". I expected better from a 5 star company. Which is one of the reasons why I chose to go with "Good Guys". I did disclose some very minor water spots on the windows which would have buffed away with wax/polish, so I opted out of the water spot removal, and to get a professional opinion on the day of the appointment. George tried to help me out but it unfortunetely made it worse. Josh mentioned paint correction..? I don't even know what that means? I just had grime I would've expected to be cleaned upon completion. You know, the more tedious areas that detailers usually clean. Totally not the case. I pointed out the flaws on visit 2, and would let faith decide. There was going to be no 3rd visit, and could care less about a refund. All I wanted was a quality detail done right. The previous owner detailed it himself. Grime was seen in all the trims, and it felt like there was overspray (but not overspray). It could've definetely be clayed, waxed, and sealed. What better than to have it done professionally!?!?!? Long story short, I turned to Yelp. Money and location wasn't an issue since I got the car better than the asking price. I requested 4 quotes from the top 5 star Auto Detailing company's. Josh from Good Guys Mobile Detail got back to me that day(fri), and scheduled me for 3:30pm the next. I went with them since they were mobile, and he could take me the next day. Although they charged $20 since I lived in Kaneohe, I figured it's still worth it for gas and not having to wait around at their shop. So my appointment was supposed to be at 3:30pm, but George arrived at 4:30pm. Not a problem, I had no plans. I was just worried being his last job of the day, he would wanna get home early on a Saturday night. Thus maybe cutting some corners. I went in the house and advised George to help himeself to any drinks in the outside refrigerator and to call me when done. He finished at 6pm. At this point, the car is looking pretty damn good. Although 6pm, my garage lights are decent. I pay the man, and even give him a small tip. The next day....I leave for work at 5am, get home at 4pm. I took the car to my parents and saw all these flaws you would expect to be done from a licensed professional. Streaks down the glass, grime in the trims, excess wax in the crackes, dirt in the crevices. All the areas you would hire a detailer for. Sent Josh a text, new schedule date pending. I wasn't sure which package to go with, but Josh guided me to the best deal for what I wanted done (ended up being full interior/exterior with hard water spot removal). Josh arrived at the scheduled time and spent way longer than he had to making sure every detail was perfect. You get what you pay for in life, and his quality work was worth every penny. Completely satisfied with the work that was done on my car. I got the premium package which included both the interior and exterior detailing. His team was able to clean out most of a stain that has been on my seats since I purchased my car two years ago (Pre-owned). I'm very impressed by that. Joshua was very responsive and friendly. Amazing service! I was visiting a friend on the island and I was in a rented Jeep, had a date saturday night and i had been offroading most of the morning, called them up and they not only fit me in but they came right out to my hotel! couldn't of been happier, I think they went above and beyond even though i told them it was a rental. When i returned the car the check in lady at the airport was shocked and asked me if it had just stayed in the hotel garage the whole time. Overall 5 star service all the way. We were selling our car and wanted to have it cleaned up. They gave us a great deal to include water spot removal. The results were fantastic! The interior looked great, almost brand new. The car looked so good that I had my truck and a friend's car done a couple days later. Josh is a great communicator via phone or even text. He is prompt and professional. The inside of their truck is very neat and organized, which does nothing for your vehicle, but is a testimony to their service and work ethic. They go until the job is done...if it takes 2 hours or 8 hours!
