We used these folks for a large CostCo delivery. Several big items all together in one truck. The "good guys" that set us up were Wade & Trey ... what an asset to the company these guys are. Both demonstrated the extreme professionalism they brought to the service call by explaining their installation process and estimation of time. Items were in spotless condition as was the installation area when they completed to service. We just wanted to give a shout out to Wade and Davey. We had to return our washer and dryer to Costco. These guys were very friendly and courteous and efficient. They even saw what the problem was with the dryer- it was probably dropped or somehow damaged when delivered with the dump and run crew. It's rare to find a moving company where their name is *literally* true. Tommy & another good guy (sorry I didn't catch his name) helped me unload a delivery today. They were both great! Professional, helpful, very skilled, and kind. This is the best delivery experience I've had, and I hope to hire your company for a future move after meeting them today. One of the boxes arrived with a damaged part inside from the factory. Tommy went above and beyond by helping me contact the company directly, removing all trash, and setting up the remaining pieces in a way that would be easier for setup. The guys were early to our storage unit and started working immediately. Great attitudes and impressive work ethic. They cared about our stuff and always asked where to put items. Original bid was for 9-11 hours since we had two storage units though I felt it wouldn't take that long; they finished in six hours!! We chose Good Guys Moving for 2 main reasons, 1- they said they use experienced on staff movers (vs a broker where you often times get less experienced movers) and 2-they include floor and door protectors in their price. We specifically requested both of the above things for our unpack and even paid an extra hourly rate for a 3rd mover so we could get our moving trailer unpacked in a smooth and very time efficient manner. What we actually got and what we agreed to pay for were two very different things. On the day of the move, 3 young men showed up and from the get go, seemed very unorganized and unsure of where to start. So I took the lead and explained how and where i wanted things. When i asked for the floor runner to be placed down, they acted awkward about it and then proceeded to lay a filthy and soaking wet runner on our BRAND NEW floors. Obviously this defeated the purposed of having the runner in the first place. When i addressed the floor runner issue with them, they all just looked at each other dumfounded and said that they didn't have anymore on their truck because someone forgot to include the floor protectors and door protectors. So long story short, they had to use the dirty one while we waited on someone from their office to bring the proper equipment. They also apparently took on a sub-contract w/ Ferguson's Appliance and were delivering our washer/dryer and fridge in the same trip BUT separate from our move. They seemed completely unsure on when/how to get the appliances into our home and let us know that they ALSO didn't have the tools they needed for that job either. So we wasted a lot of time just waiting on their tools and promised floor/door protection to arrive. During the actual move, it was VERY obvious that we did NOT get an experienced team. While 2 men were carrying an item in, the 3rd man (which we paid more for) just stood in the trailer looking around or awkwardly pacing around. WASTE OF $$ In addition to this, our walls and stairs were left all scuffed up and one of our nice stackable moving bins was broken due to sheer lack of effort or care. The movers didn't even know how to operate the storage mechanism in the moving trailer! My husband had to do it for them along with many other things. Then Tommy (their sales rep/customer satisfaction guy) finally showed up with the moving essentials and made it seem as though he was going to make it all right once the move was all said and done. Let me say, super friendly guy....ZERO follow through. He was happy to hear the feedback and readily admitted that they dropped the ball in ALL departments. However, to "make it right" all he offered us a whopping $50 off! Such a slap in the face! We paid and extra $25 PER HOUR for the 3rd mover AND we paid a flat $75 fee for them to travel to our home, which in our case was an extra unnecessary charge since they were already coming to our home for the sub contract job they accepted from Ferguson's. I wish i knew then what i know now....but at least I know now and I WILL NOT be using or recommending them in the future. read more

If you're looking for the best, look no further. Good Guys has some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. I recently bought and sold a house with closings to be on the same day (since the purchase was dependent on the sale of my home) and they just went above and beyond from the first time I contacted them weeks before my move, to the actual move itself. I moved out of my old home the day before closings, and the seller of my new home was really complicated and kept changing the time of my closing the next day, which depending on the time of closing, was changing the date I could move into the new house. I seriously was texting Rusty at 5:30 that evening saying ok it's back on for tomorrow! And he was able to finesse my move at 1 PM for the next day. They were SO PATIENT with me the entire time and understood that I was already in a very stressful situation. They seriously took so much of my stress away. The movers themselves also did an awesome job. I can't say enough good things about everyone I came in contact with. I will tell everyone I know about how wonderful this company is to work with! The company I work for paid for delivery of furniture and when the driver arrived he and his partner REFUSED to bring the items inside and unbox. When shown the proof of payment for delivery and set up,he stated he could leave the items right where they were(outside). He was even yelling at the person who placed the order. read more

It recently became necessary to move my mother from an independent living community apartment on Signal Mountain to an assisted living care facility on Lookout Mountain. Mom's new apartment is much smaller, so this move was not as simple as moving from one location to another. Specifically, this moving plan needed to include four stops: a total pick-up at Mom's independent living apartment on Signal Mountain, dropping off a partial load at her new residence on Lookout Mountain, dropping off and picking up three heavy furniture pieces at our home on Lookout Mountain, and finally unloading everything remaining at a rented storage locker in Trenton, GA. From start to finish things couldn't have gone better! Preplanning over the phone with the office was very easy and pleasant. The movers arrived precisely own time. Due to the need for multiple drop-off stops, there needed to be a deliberate truck loading sequence. I explained the plan once and movers Darrell, Mike Jr., and Santino executed flawlessly. They took great care to protect all furniture items before loading. The speed that these guys work is something to behold. Every single piece of furniture and all other items arrived to the proper destination without a scratch and was put in place where each needed to be. I was quoted $710 for the entire job which I though was competitive and very fair. As it turned out, these hard working speedy good guys finished a couple hours ahead of schedule and the final total came in at $512. Darrell, Mike Jr., and Santino were consistently polite and professional. Good Guys moved us from Chattanooga, TN to Gulfport, MS. There sells person was very personable, allowed me a military discount and gave me a compatible price for the move. The day before I moved that sells person was unreachable. Everything was left up to a group of young men, who worked their butts off but did not provide the care of items that they should. Several items were scared and boxes marked fragile were crushed by the weight on them. These items were not immediately identified because they went into a storage facility. read more

These folks are great! I am so glad I found this company. My in-laws were moving across town and needed A LOT of help. They aren't in a position to do a DIY, and we live several hundred miles away. As with many people of a certain age, they have a whole bunch of stuff and are reluctant to let other people handle it. Libby immediately understood this and put my M-I-L at ease (not an easy task). She stayed in contact with me throughout the packing and moving process. This was not an easy move for Good Guys. My in-laws had never really used a moving company and struggled with the concept, so Libby and I probably spent several hours on the phone over the course of a couple weeks. She always had the time, even when I knew she was insanely busy or on her day off. It took three days to pack and move them. There were complications. For example, there was confusion about setting up their bed in the new place. Libby called her brother, the crew lead, at 8:00 pm the day of the move. They resolved it that night.
