When I bought my house the previous owners had replaced an exterior door with one of the cheapest interior doors ever known to human existence for some odd reason. That being said the heat, rain, and outside elements ate at the door for some time and eventually the door couldn't close because of it bloating up. So obviously I needed a solid steel exterior door installed. I reached out to Good Life and Serge ended up coming out to take a look at it. Super friendly guy and gave a solid estimate that was comparable to other online quotes I got from other companies that didn't try to even send out a person. I will say how fast Good Life sent an actual person out to look at the door gave way better vibes than other companies and was one of the deciding factors going with Good Life. The crew (2 guys) that came out were able to rip the old door out and install the new door all before lunch. They color-matched the outside of the house for the new trim around the door and left me a quart to paint the door the same color (unsure if I wanted to match). I have had a couple of projects completed with Good Life Construction and the previous project manager and sales manager was great! He was very professional and made sure that things were done correctly. I was home that time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]However, this time the sales person/project manager was professional when meeting with him but when the project was supposedly "completed" he told me to ask questions but wouldn't respond at times when I asked if the project was completed[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I was out of town during the project so that didn't help. When my son came to the house to check stay there furniture was left outside in the rain. Luckily it didn't warp and furniture was not put back in place. There were dings, dents and scratches left in the wall and not repaired before they left. The flooring was left very dirty and my guest bathroom was left dirty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They fixed all when I got back but I had to ask for it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The reason they still get a 4 is because more importantly the flooring looks well done at this point and the previous project was led well by the project manager/sales manager. Used Good Life again. Fixed a stucco problem no one else wanted to touch. Second time using these guys and would highly recommend calling them if you've gotten estimates on home repairs that seem to are either unreasonable, or seem to want to repair a lot more than is needed. On this repair, there was a textured corner of my garage entry that had been scraped repeatedly..by accident... from a (too wide) truck. It was scraped down to the wire mesh retaining it. This was years ago, and it was the first thing you saw when you pulled up to the house, since it drew your eye to an otherwise smooth wall. Now it's gone and you can hardly believe it was ever there. Igor headed the project, was courteous and knowledgeable. It was done and he came back to finish paint matching. read more

From the beginning when Alex gave his assessment~ while many other companies declined the job because the left side of the roof was higher than the right ~Alex found a way! He designed a cover that would allow rain to fall and pour into the gutters. I wanted a cover to protect us from the rain and enjoy being outdoors! He made it happen! I LOVE this space now! Roman and his team are amazing. Very professional, pay attention to detail and clean up when they are done. We recently had our front door replaced. They removed our security gate and door, replaced with new door and trim. Painted new trim to match the house. They even painted our alarm sensor to match the door so it did it stand out. We realized after installation we did not have a peephole. They offered to come back and install at no extra charge. This is my second project using Good Life and working on a third. First time working with Good Life Construction. They did a Full Frame replacement of four windows. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the start it went very well with Roman coming out for an estimate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was concerned that because this was a multifamily and not my residence that the quality of the whole project might be "just ok" but as soon as the project began my concerns were alleviated. From the estimate to the work, we were very pleased. The work team was fast, extremely clean, and I have never seen a team that was so respectful of property and so clean. They worked really hard to get our upstairs bathroom put back together after the renovation. Our air conditioning went out during their time with us, and they were still so professional and hard working. Paul was so helpful through the process, and the team in our home was great and patient. I will definitely hire them again. We were very impressed and relieved with this job, They reconstructed our shower, floor, and sub floors and installed the new shower, floors, and sub floors and toilet. Good Life did an amazing job handling what turned into a surprise massive dry rot and water damage repair job. The initial quote process for what we thought would be minor dry rot repair and a small area of stucco demolition was easy and smooth, but once the work started it was immediately clear that there was significant dry rot and water damage throughout an entire exterior wall of the house, which eventually resulted in them having the basically completely rebuild that wall. New framing, new insulation, even replacing floor joists, removing multiple windows and reframing them....it was all done quickly and professionally, and they checked in with me each time they discovered something new that would require additional work or a change in approach. The crew wore masks inside the house and even dusted off their shoes when going in and out, they matched the stucco texture outside and the plaster texture inside (around the windows), they were super responsive whenever I had any questions, and were happy to work with my homeowners insurance to help get some of the costs covered. Hopefully I don't have to have this level of repair work done again, but if I do, or if I have other construction projects, I'll definitely be going with these guys again. read more

Glad I found Good Life Construction on Yelp! They did 2 jobs for me this Summer. I couldn't be happier with their Communication, Cleanliness, Quality, and Timeliness. Job 1 was to repair a shed which was partially damaged by a fallen branch. They repaired the damage and as well the remainder of the shed which had dry rot. It looks like BRAND new. Job 2 was to remove/replace 3 windows and all water damage caused in the interior of the home. Thank God there was no dry rot. Both crews were punctual and their work was top-notch. I HIGHLY recommend Good Life Construction! They are professional, responsive, and just do great work! From the start, Vera was gracious and helpful when setting up the appointments/communications throughout the process. I also worked with Serge and Mike along with their amazing crew. I am in a new home built by New Faze Construction. I should not be experiencing the plumbing/water leak issues I was experiencing. It started when I found mold growing in my downstairs closet! Mold remediation work was done. It was decided to leave the wall exposed to better assess the water leak issue. Additionally, there was water damage to my ceiling due to inept work regarding plumbing in the master shower. I had consults from other companies, but no one could determine the source. Fast forward to Good Life. Serge came out, assessed both issues, and gave me a bid. They did amazing work with identifying the source of the leak in the shower and Igor and crew did an incredible job with the repair/ceiling work! Then we addressed the southside wall. This could best be described as trying to find a "needle in the haystack." Serge suggested replacement of all three picture windows as a conservative measure as the windows showed signs of leakage. When this didn't fully resolve the issue, Serge came back out to reassess the job. What they found was worse than we originally anticipated. It turns out the whole southside wall was impacted. I was told that the acrylic and paint were premixed and applied as a finish coat by the previous contractor which resulted in stucco failure as water was getting behind the stucco system. All building paper and expansion joints had to be replaced as they were compromised and new stucco and paint applied. During this process, Operations Manager, Mike L. personally came by to oversee the project. The finished product was nothing short of amazing. This was a very challenging job and they exceeded my expectations. Don't look anywhere else for your construction service needs. These guys are amazing! read more

We needed some minor stucco repairs from a deck that was attached to the house. The work also required some painting to be done. I sent requests out for bids from three companies. Absolutely love the work done on my home! I just moved to the Sacramento area in August of this year and I needed some work done on the home. Good Life fixed some rusted pier posts under my home around October and everything went very smoothly. This time I was looking to get the drywall finished in the garage. I had contacted other companies to find the best quote and Good Life was the fastest to respond. They were also the most affordable and didn't try to up sale me or give me reasons why the project would cost more (which is what some of the other companies did). Vera set up the appointments and she was always so responsive to any questions I had. Very professional. Alex was the one who came out to give me a quote and I received it very quickly. The project was done one week after I approved the quote which surprised me because I know sometimes it can take months to be put on the schedule for other companies. Mario was one of the workers who came out to complete the project and he was communicative and made sure I knew what was going on during the process. There was an issue with one of my security cameras where they cut the wire and it wasn't showing up on my panel which I totally understand because it was kind of a complicated project with the garage door being in the way and there was quite a bit of wires . But they did not complain and even fixed the issue right away. Alex called after I explained what happened and reassured me that they would fix it which I appreciated a lot! He even checked in after the job was done to make sure everything was cleaned up and in perfect condition (it was!) This is a very professional company. TLDR: Had a great experience with Vera, Yuri and crew. Vera was a pleasure to deal with over the phone and email. We quickly identified what needed to be done and she sent over a contract via docusign (should mention that we had a pest report that sped things up). Communication was good during the several day project on the exterior of our home. Payment process was smooth and we were notified when payment was received. No surprises. Additional context below: We purchased a home that had dry rot issues on the exterior in many places, as well as some issues with several portions of roof barge rafters plus jambs of garage door. We were notified exactly when the crew would show up on the first day. Yuri introduced himself and was friendly, courteous throughout. He let us know when they'd take lunch breaks and all the crew abided with masks. They also made sure to clean up their work areas everyday before they departed. The crew finished ahead of schedule. As a wrap up, Yuri took me through a walkthrough to make sure everything in the contract was addressed. Happy to recommend this company to others looking for similar work! Where do I begin... Hire this company! If you have a small job or a large job, hire this company! My wife and I have remodeled, to some degree or another, 5 homes over our +30 year marriage. Our experiences have ranged from absolute nightmares where contractors had to be fired to, "let's just hope we make it through this with our marriage still intact". We recently purchased our retirement home. A house with good bones but had no interior work done for ~25 years. It was going to be a COMPLETE remodel. Basically, if you stand in our home and look at something, it was changed. Our biggest concern when buying the home was the remodel we knew we had to do. Our love for the lot, the look of the home, and the community made us bite the bullet even though we knew we would likely be testing our marriage again. From the beginning we could tell this wasn't going to be the same old song and dance. Our first exposure to Good Life was Serge (our Estimator / Project Manager). As we went through the process Serge reinforced our initial perception of him. He truly cares about his customers. Shortly after Serge we met Mike (the Production Manager) who managed our team. Whenever we had questions or issues they always responded in a timely manner with often times out of the box solutions. Good Life has most of their trades in house. Our on site Lead was Steve. I can't say enough good things about Steve. He was at our house everyday leading the team. This man can not only do everything (rough carpentry, finish carpentry, plumbing, electrical, tile, etc...) but he does it fantastically. He has great ideas to balance design and functionality and holds the team accountable. No excuses ever. He makes it right if it isn't. This isn't to say we didn't have a few issues along the way. Being old hats at this we knew we would. Good Life worked through the issues that came up. They found solutions. They made things right. We ALWAYS felt the team was focused on our interest first. I was very glad that I chose Good Life Construction. It's name says it all. This company is all about quality. They have a team with a Project Manager down to their crews who are ALL humble and down to earth people. They will not only work on your house, but will improve anything that needs to be changed or corrected. They do all types of projects, whether it is small or big home repairs besides construction. They replaced most of the wood in my house that was in bad condition, replaced my barge rafters, replaced sliding door and window. They did an amazing stucco job, the proper way with lathe, mesh netting and 3 coats of stucco. They painted my garage door and did not charge me for that. AND also did some extra work inside my home at no cost. This wonderful team are from Ukraine, a war torn country, but the company has been established for a long time. ALL their crews are more than qualified as they have excellent craftmanship.
