I had the misfortune of locking myself out of my house two consecutive days in a row (I know I'm already establishing myself as an idiot, but I hope my review still influences people to try this company). Both days I called Good Lock & Key and they sent a locksmith, Mike, within 20 minutes of both incidents. When we moved in the house, not too long ago, the locksmith who changed all the keys on our house commented how the seller had installed nice locks on the doors that made it harder to pick/break into. Mike picked the lock in less than a minute. This leads me to two possible conclusions. One, Mike is VERY good at his job (and I'm leaning towards this conclusion). Or two, the locks are really not as good as they claim. While his speed was unnerving, it was incredibly impressive. The prices they charged was less than we expected for emergency home service and very reasonable. I hope to never NEED their services again, but if I ever need a locksmith, I'm definitely calling Good Lock & Key. read more

In a mindless moment, I locked my car key in the trunk. I called Good Lock & Key for help and they showed up within 10 minutes. The older gentleman (I didn't catch his name) was so nice and polite. He opened the car door in a wink. Next he got in the car to get access to the trunk, with another 10-15 minutes, the trunk was opened. He was so so sweet and asked me to start the car again, making sure that everything still works properly. The price was reasonable. My mother in law lost one of her Toyota Yaris Keys. I never like to have only one key in case one loses one. I called them and they quoted a reasonable price. Drove there and they stated had an emergency call and they would drive to my house (on a Saturday, about a half hour a way) for the same price. Amazingly, the guy did. Made a duplicate promptly. It works in all the doors and the keyfob part works. The price was the same with tax added. Overall a great job and next time I'll get an extra key for my car when I'm here. read more

My front door latch wasn't working. I attempted to call another locksmith, who told me I could just fix it myself and it was probably just a spring. After going to the local hardware store and finding no parts to suggest it was just a spring, I called Good Lock & Key. They promptly answered the phone and arranged to come out quickly. It was an internal part that they said was faulty and typically wears down after a few years. He was able to fix it quickly for a reasonable price. Went in for a quick key duplicate and the time it took was under a minute! I had an design key prepared for the duplicate key.
