I would give zero stars if I could. This place is a scam and just a service to rip you off after connecting you to an actual locksmith. The prices were high, but I figured the lock and key world had gotten intense. As soon as I paid, the locksmith told me I should call his private number and he would charge me less than 1/3 of the original price he had told me. I paid over double what he would have charged. This is such a rip off. Please avoid this company. Also I will be following up for a partial refund but I want to make sure people know what an awful company this is. Based on the reviews on Yelp, I called up the shop to change out the locks on the front door, back door, and mailbox in January. A technician came out, did the job, and gave a set of new keys. We were very pleased with the work although the front door lock was a little harder to turn than the original lock, which was more than 10 years old. But all in all, the locks were changed. Now it's May, and the front door lock does not fully lock all the way, maybe about 3/4. And it requires a lot more elbow grease than one normally would use to lock the door. I called up the shop yesterday to see if someone can come by and check it out. First thing this morning the owner Mike shows up and inspect the front door. He says the combination that his guy replaced works perfectly fine and is not the issue. He continues to take apart the door lock and handle. He removes the latch, takes it to his van, and comes back to the front door to reinstall it. He finishes up by putting everything back together and tells me that the latch was not straight. But I told him that for 10 years the original lock was so smooth until the combination was changed. He did not want to talk any further and asked if he could give me the invoice. I guess he just wanted his $65 for the service call (which he ended up settling for $60 after I was still trying to understand why the additional charge). I'm always a supporter for local businesses. But when a business owner himself doesn't provide a good customer experience, then it is hard to get loyal customers or referrals. read more
