Heard this place was still open. It was a childhood favorite. Service was quick. Lots of cars out front. Should have kept the nostalgic dream because I was disappointed. My gizzards were fried in fish grease and were not good at all. The fries were hard, the Cole slaw was more mayo than anything and the toast was hard. I tried it but the childhood memory will have to suffice. read more

soooo just so you all know if you get the smaller lady lucky burger you will only get 1/2 a patty. they cut it in half so you literally have half the burger meatless. read more

I was in the area and wanted to check this place out. There were some good as well as bad parts of here. Let's start with the bad. The staff is def not friendly or welcoming. They didn't say hi or anything and I placed my order anyways. If you are the type that doesn't like your food touching, def not the place for you since the fries were just poured on top of everything.. The ones over the bbq weren't bad, but the ones in the beans not too great of a flavor lol. The fries were plain and not seasoned, and the beans were nothing special either. Now the good parts of it. I tried the hot links and they were very good and tasted like they are smoked which added an amazing flavor. I really liked the bbq sauce as well.. Had a slight kick which was really good, especially on hot links. Overall would I return here? Unsure, but decent food and really good links at a great price for everything, can't beat. The prices online are wrong though, and the hot link plate was $8.99 instead of the $6.49 on their downloadable menu, but not bad considering prices are going up everywhere right now. read more

Look, I understand that they are not going to win a BBQ Award from whatever pit-master show you watch but I do know this. If you have $12 in your pocket and you want chicken, hot link and ribs with fries smothered in BBQ sauce. This is where you want to go. Thank me later and don't be deterred by the neighborhood or location. The last time I ate at a Good Luck was in 1975. This is the only one left, so after a doctor's appointment I got the hot link basket to go. The links were not good, borderline terrible. Fries were soggy and stale and the beans were dry and lacked seasoning. Not sure if I'll be back, but if I do hot links are a no go. read more

Not good, my wife found mold on her food? Place seemed a bit dingy and dirty but decided to give it a shot. It's cheap for a reason. I personally wouldn't go back tried to call and they would not answer the phone. Idk what to think about a moldy rib? read more

There are hole-in-the-walls, and then there are hole-in-the-walls with bars on the windows in areas of town that is better to see the light of day. This is the latter and soooooo worth the trip. Good Luck is one of those places that has been around for a long time (the faded sign and decor proves that), that knows their bbq and scares vegetarians away. Starting with almost too many choices, I went witht he BBQ Plate. $7.49 and piled with food. Two Pieces of chicken, one hot link and one large rib, plus fries and Texas toast. It was served in your standard large styrofoam clamshell, but with so much food, they wrapped it with plastic wrap to keep it all in....... nice. And an inch stack of napkins to boot. As for the food? Great BBQ sauce, moist chicken, meaty rib and the hot link was really good with a hint of spice at the end. The fries were crispy and the toast was well, toast? Really, that's not important..... the meat was what I came for and I am sure not hungry after that meal. Make your way there, it's only minutes from downtown Ft Worth and two minutes off of 35W. Came to this location and it brought me back to my childhood it really felt like home when I came in and the staff was awesome and I salute them for working through the difficult times we are going through when I first took a bite of my barbecue chicken ooh weeee ! Great food for a cheap price. You may overlook this little gem because of its appearance (they could work on that) but don't hesitate going in! I came to Good Luck Drive in today for the 1st time off a coworkers advice. I will say I was lucky he told me about it. The employees were courteous and the interior is small but cozy. I got the Links plate. It comes with 3 big links, French fries, beans and Texas toast I paid $6.81!!! What a deal!It was all delicious. The beans tasted like a blend of Ranch Style beans and BBQ beans. The links have a nice firm bite to them. They are smoky and deceptively spicy. I have been done eating for about 15 mins and I still get the spice. It's not overwhelming. It is a good flavorful spice. I will definitely be back for more. I want to try the BBQ chicken!!! Really good chicken, sausage, BBQ sauce, and prices! First time coming, I got the BBQ plate ($8.97) - 2 chicken pieces (not sure what part), 1 sausage link, 1 rib, fries and toast. The meat were all on one side and smothered in BBQ sauce. The good: Prices are pretty good. There are plenty of daily specials and deals that are good for the amount of food you get. Chicken is super tender and flavorful - you could even eat the bone without noticing it. Sausage was very flavorful without being too strong. BBQ sauce smothered over the meat is good - not too peppery or sweet, but a nice smokey flavor. The bad: Isn't the cleanest place, so that might be a turn-off. Fries were under-seasoned. Texas toast was buttered up. Fries/toast are just average and nothing to rave about at all - same price even if you get basket/plate without them. The ribs were a little dry, tough, and lacked flavor - wouldn't recommend. I will definitely come again, but stick to the chicken and sausage. read more

I hate that I recommended this place to all my co workers and we all got excited to call and place our order and go pick it up, only to be hung up on and told they are to busy to take a large order. We now have a bunch of hungry healthcare workers scrambling for food last min. this is not the first BAD service i have had here but the food is good at a great price so i went back. this is the last straw and it hurts my heart. im sad today. So yes, this continues to be a great place to take out. I still don't recommend eating in since it's kind of small and other reasons. The quarter inch chicken plate is still our go to option. We did try the cut beef sandwich but that was basically a sloppy joe that was too sweet. We also tried the chicken fried stake and that was way too salty. Also I don't understand why they added mayonnaise in the side of the salad, that was unneeded and I'm wondering if they mistook it for ranch lol. Besides those bad plates, the onion rings were amazing! I'll mostly continue with their signature BBQ plate but I'll be adding those delicious rings from here on out. Also the restaurant is connected to a gas station so it's a good idea to walk there for a good variety of drinks. With the affordable prices, Its only natural to continue to try out different plates. I'll be back to test/taste things out. read more

Great place! We are in the process of spending several weeks at a nearby hospital after our daughter's surgery. Look, if you are looking for a good cheap meal from a hole in the wall with rude staff running the joint, this is the place for you! Good Luck was actually pretty decent for the price. I was referred to this place by a fellow Yelper and my colleague and it turned out to be pretty good. The only thing I was disappointed in was the amount of barbecue sauce they pour on the chicken. The chicken was actually quite tasty and moist. I didn't care for the frozen store bought french fries but again you have to keep in mind I received a leg quater, fries, and a piece of Texas toast for $3.15!!! Where can you ever beat this price? NOWHERE! I will probably return when in search for a decent cheap meal on a night I don't feel like cooking and want to feel like I got out the house for a bit. read more

They have 4 meat options as well as an Impossible Burger option. They come in single, double or triple meat and the price varies according to what you pick. First time here so I had to go with just a regular smash burger which is the Gusto Burger. I can't remember if I went double or triple, but either choice is good as one thin patty is never the move with a smash burger. It comes with American cheese (the only right cheese for burgers), caramelized onions, their house sauce and pickles. It comes on a buttered toasted bun which held up nicely to all the toppings. This burger was outstanding. I would put it up there as one of the best smash burgers I've had. Everyone in our party agreed. Walloon's is locally owned, and very reasonable, with a fantastic decor and very classy vibe. The drinks were top notch - we had gin martinis, vodka martinis, and sampled fresh oysters, specials off the menu, and had a dessert - and everything was very reasonable - at a typical high-end steakhouse, the price would have been double. We plan to return! (and the neon sign outside is fantastic - full of character!

Staff is SO friendly! Food is not quick, but it's worth it bc it's prepared for you so arrives hot & delicious. Ambience is late 80s/90s frozen in time. There is a tv to watch the news & sports. Maybe 15 tables inside. Location is just off 8th, a few blocks south of Rosedale/Magnolia. Private parking in-front. Definitely worth a visit!!!

I decided that today I would get a BLT since I had seen a good review on it. They definitely didn't hold back on the bacon. It was crunchy which is the way I like it, but may not be for everyone. I just wish the lettuce and tomato was more proportioned to the bacon. After eating a few bites I had to open the sandwich to make sure there was tomato in it, and there was but it was a small thinly sliced portion. So, the sandwich was good but the B overpowered the L and T. Food came out promptly even though is was a busy lunch service. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.
