I was in the area and wanted to check this place out. There were some good as well as bad parts of here. Let's start with the bad. The staff is def not friendly or welcoming. They didn't say hi or anything and I placed my order anyways. If you are the type that doesn't like your food touching, def not the place for you since the fries were just poured on top of everything.. Good Luck is one of those places that has been around for a long time (the faded sign and decor proves that), that knows their bbq and scares vegetarians away. Starting with almost too many choices, I went witht he BBQ Plate. $7.49 and piled with food. Two Pieces of chicken, one hot link and one large rib, plus fries and Texas toast. It was served in your standard large styrofoam clamshell, but with so much food, they wrapped it with plastic wrap to keep it all in....... nice. And an inch stack of napkins to boot. As for the food? Great BBQ sauce, moist chicken, meaty rib and the hot link was really good with a hint of spice at the end. The fries were crispy and the toast was well, toast? Really, that's not important..... the meat was what I came for and I am sure not hungry after that meal. Make your way there, it's only minutes from downtown Ft Worth and two minutes off of 35W. I came to Good Luck Drive in today for the 1st time off a coworkers advice. I will say I was lucky he told me about it. The employees were courteous and the interior is small but cozy. I got the Links plate. It comes with 3 big links, French fries, beans and Texas toast I paid $6.81!!! What a deal!It was all delicious. The beans tasted like a blend of Ranch Style beans and BBQ beans. The links have a nice firm bite to them. They are smoky and deceptively spicy. I have been done eating for about 15 mins and I still get the spice. It's not overwhelming. It is a good flavorful spice. I will definitely be back for more. I want to try the BBQ chicken!!! Really good chicken, sausage, BBQ sauce, and prices! First time coming, I got the BBQ plate ($8.97) - 2 chicken pieces (not sure what part), 1 sausage link, 1 rib, fries and toast. The meat were all on one side and smothered in BBQ sauce. The good: Prices are pretty good. There are plenty of daily specials and deals that are good for the amount of food you get. Chicken is super tender and flavorful - you could even eat the bone without noticing it. Sausage was very flavorful without being too strong. BBQ sauce smothered over the meat is good - not too peppery or sweet, but a nice smokey flavor. The bad: Isn't the cleanest place, so that might be a turn-off. Fries were under-seasoned. Texas toast was buttered up. Fries/toast are just average and nothing to rave about at all - same price even if you get basket/plate without them. The ribs were a little dry, tough, and lacked flavor - wouldn't recommend. I will definitely come again, but stick to the chicken and sausage. read more

So yes, this continues to be a great place to take out. I still don't recommend eating in since it's kind of small and other reasons. The quarter inch chicken plate is still our go to option. We did try the cut beef sandwich but that was basically a sloppy joe that was too sweet. We also tried the chicken fried stake and that was way too salty. Also I don't understand why they added mayonnaise in the side of the salad, that was unneeded and I'm wondering if they mistook it for ranch lol. Besides those bad plates, the onion rings were amazing! I'll mostly continue with their signature BBQ plate but I'll be adding those delicious rings from here on out. Also the restaurant is connected to a gas station so it's a good idea to walk there for a good variety of drinks. With the affordable prices, Its only natural to continue to try out different plates. I was referred to this place by a fellow Yelper and my colleague and it turned out to be pretty good. The only thing I was disappointed in was the amount of barbecue sauce they pour on the chicken. The chicken was actually quite tasty and moist. I didn't care for the frozen store bought french fries but again you have to keep in mind I received a leg quater, fries, and a piece of Texas toast for $3.15!!! Where can you ever beat this price?
