Steak Fingers Basket with Toast & Fries
Megan G.

Came here with my mother on her coworker's recommendation. The food overall was fine. It came out fresh & hot, but I feel the fries were underseasoned. The toast had a nice crunch & not too buttery. Steak fingers & gravy were fantastic, but a little more of each would have been nice. Service was fine. Just gave it a three-star instead of four because, while I enjoyed it, my overall satisfaction wasn't quite a four-star.

I was in the area and wanted to check this place out. There were some good as well as bad parts of here. Let's start with the bad. The staff is def not friendly or welcoming. They didn't say hi or anything and I placed my order anyways. If you are the type that doesn't like your food touching, def not the place for you since the fries were just poured on top of everything.. The ones over the bbq weren't bad, but the ones in the beans not too great of a flavor lol. The fries were plain and not seasoned, and the beans were nothing special either. Now the good parts of it. I tried the hot links and they were very good and tasted like they are smoked which added an amazing flavor. I really liked the bbq sauce as well.. Had a slight kick which was really good, especially on hot links. Overall would I return here? Unsure, but decent food and really good links at a great price for everything, can't beat. The prices online are wrong though, and the hot link plate was $8.99 instead of the $6.49 on their downloadable menu, but not bad considering prices are going up everywhere right now.

Look, I understand that they are not going to win a BBQ Award from whatever pit-master show you watch but I do know this. If you have $12 in your pocket and you want chicken, hot link and ribs with fries smothered in BBQ sauce. This is where you want to go. Thank me later and don't be deterred by the neighborhood or location. Now, you will hear some yelling to the cooks when you start to order and maybe not get a greeting when you walk in but that's because it's supposed to feel like home. enjoy.

Great customer service and food is Delicious.

The last time I ate at a Good Luck was in 1975. This is the only one left, so after a doctor's appointment I got the hot link basket to go. The links were not good, borderline terrible. Fries were soggy and stale and the beans were dry and lacked seasoning. Not sure if I'll be back, but if I do hot links are a no go.

Not good, my wife found mold on her food? Place seemed a bit dingy and dirty but decided to give it a shot. It's cheap for a reason. I personally wouldn't go back tried to call and they would not answer the phone. Idk what to think about a moldy rib?

Menu

Good food at a reasonable price. Hard working people! Mostly takeout but there are about 5 small tables.

The crunchy onions that retain structure was absolutely divine. I could eat this everyday. Brisket - we didn't get a fatty piece which I liked because it allowed me to not get full easily Sichuan Lamb Ribs - softest lamb I have ever had (that wasn't in a curry) and the rub on it was not only the perfect amount but a perfect blend Tandoori Turkey - this was really moist and not spicy, great choice for those who do not like red meat Seekh Kabob Sausage - the casing was well done and the flavor profile wasn't overpowering, sometimes desi spices can overtake the meat and that was not the case here (no pun intended) Kochumber salad - well seasoned and I am so glad it is on the menu because you need a fresh element to palate cleanse and cut through bbq fat They open at 11am and the line started forming 10:30am, it moves at a good pace. We were also instructed with what's on the menu and the parking situation which I thought was professional and well organized. We found some seating in the area next to the truck.

"Sabar BBQ: Where the lamb ribs made me want to high five a stranger."…read more TL;DR: Get there early, order the Sichuan Lamb Ribs, let Zain carve you a plate of happiness, and prepare to have your taste buds do a Texas two-step with Pakistani spices. Worth every minute of the wait. This one's climbing my top 50 list faster than a brisket disappears at a family reunion. After one failed mission to Sabar BBQ, where I showed up too late and found an empty pit (and an emptier stomach), I came back like a man on a barbecue pilgrimage. The sun was blazing, the line was growing, and I wasn't about to be left holding nothing but a napkin this time. Pitmaster Zain Shafi runs this blue trailer like a flavor command center. The smell hit me halfway through the line and had me grinning like a kid at the state fair. I made my move when it was my turn, and if you know me, you know lamb is my kryptonite. I ordered the Sichuan Lamb Ribs, then couldn't stop myself from adding brisket and Tandoori Turkey. The sides? Kachumber Salad and Daal Chawaal, because even Uncle Sean needs balance in life. Zain loaded everything up, tossed it all on top of some naan for good measure, and sent me to my table like a champion headed to the winner's circle. The first bite of lamb ribs nearly had me proposing to the pit. Spicy, tender, smoky perfection with a bark that made my heart sing. The brisket was rich and juicy, the turkey came with that tandoori kick that slapped me awake in the best way possible. The sauces just tied the whole thing together like a big barbecue hug. The yogurt mint cilantro sauce was made to cool and lift the brisket and turkey to a whole new level. The red sauce packed a punch and paired with the lamb like it was born for the job. I boxed up some leftovers for my wife, the Side Dish Queen herself, because a man who doesn't bring home naan from Sabar BBQ is a man sleeping on the couch. She confirmed what I already knew: this was next-level barbecue, the kind that earns legends and long lines. Sabar BBQ is only open on weekends, and only fools show up late. I won't make that mistake again. This was stop number 15 on my Texas Monthly Top 50 journey, leaving me with 35 more glorious BBQ pilgrimages ahead before the passport is full and my belt officially waves the white flag. If loving these lamb ribs is wrong, I don't wanna be rib-right.

With a bit more seasoning and flavor, the sides could be the hit of the location, and this I think will come with time and practice. Tried the greens (little bland, but wonderful texture), Mac and Cheese (actually seasoning was spot on), and beans (with meat...meh). The greens and MC were the hits for sure. Brisket was on the dry side, maybe overcooked, and could have used some better trimming before cooking I think. Did not try sausages or chicken, but both looked appetizing. They are still dialing in their pits is my guess, and expect cook quality to improve with a time. Quality of meat may also be worth considering. Overal, Brown's is definitely worth a visit, and as they find their groove they could be a contender. Right now would put them at a fair 3.5 stars, but the energy, great attitude (smiles means repeat business), and great beginnings is worthy of 4 stars even now, and a welcome addition to the neighborhood!

Nice small food park in Dalworthington Gardens/Central Arlington…read more I just happened by on a Monday but the trucks were in hibernation mode. I came back on early Saturday evening after a nice cooling rain. It was pleasantly not crowded. I got a couple of empanadas from one truck and a couple of smash burgers from another. Both items were delicious. When I go back, I want to try something from the hibachi grill. I got an Oakcliff smashburger and my son enjoyed a Dallas. We loved our burgers. You could tell they were made fresh with chunks of avocado and bacon for me! The empanadas were good if a bit small. The dough pocket could have been premade, so I'll have to try something else from that food truck. That's the beauty and draw of a food truck park as pi your able to try have what you want and still eat together! I hope people come out and give this place a try.
