I-N-T-E-N-T-I-O-N-A-L!! Everything in here felt intentional. The atmosphere was so welcoming, cozy with enough brightness to add to your day and plants and color that draw you in. Ordering was pretty simple and drinks were ready soon after. The food came later but even the color and pattern of the plate felt... intentional. We tried out the Shakè toast which was a seared salmon on kale on sourdough- good serving of salmon and tasty. Also had the bacon egg and cheese that had a nice kick with the jam- classic, crispy, juicy and enough bacon in each bite. Will definitely be back!!
Always a good time stopping in here. I got the veggie sandwich again and it does not disappoint. It's packed with flavors and all of the vegetables are cooked to perfection. This is also a great place to work if you want to spend a longer time reading or on your laptop. Hands down my favorite cafe in Baltimore.
A true Baltimore Gem! My husband and I love it here. Great matcha lattes! Great Cappuccino! The food options make it a great place for a breakfast, brunch or lunch. They also have experiences you can book, check out their website for those. Quick and welcoming service. You order at the counter then find an open table to eat. Perfect for a date, hangout, and some people study/work.
I've never met a coffee shop I didn't like and Good Neighbor was no different!!! Offering coffee, food, and unique and healthy food finds, there's truly something for everyone. My latte was smooth and had the perfect balance of milk, vanilla and sweetness flavor. The shop is very aesthetically pleasing and the food smelled absolutely divine. I can't wait to try something from the menu soon. Parking can be tricky, but I was able to get a spot in a 10 minute loading zone right down the street. I also noticed they have two fifteen-minute spots you can pull into right next to the shop. The outdoor seating looked so cute and would be perfect for a nice, warm sunny day. Service was good and my coffee only took a couple minutes to make. It was an expensive latte but it was delicious and worth every sip! Can't wait to become a regular here.
Excellent coffee and excellent food, you can truly taste the quality in both. The atmosphere is beautiful, with plenty of space to sit, work, or catch up with a friend. The outdoor garden patio is especially charming and a lovely spot to relax. Wouldn't recommend the matcha however it was very mild and tasted like mostly milk. I stayed in the guesthouse for the weekend and visited the café several times during my stay. Unfortunately, I didn't feel particularly welcomed during any of my visits. Each time, a different cashier seemed disengaged and didn't offer a greeting, only just a blank stare until I placed my order. It stood out even more as I watched how warmly they interacted with regulars. Otherwise still a great place to visit. Hopefully my next visit will feel more warm.
good neighbor is a cute little modern coffee shop that tries to go for a feel of 'stepping into a loved one's home' - I tried the Strawberry Fields, which was a matcha with strawberry syrup - this was actually pretty tasty, but I wished it came out piping hot, as requested - it was more lukewarm, which was pretty disappointing. I like the cup that they use, in which they fill it up to the brim. Seating is limited, and if you're unable to get one of those armchairs, the wooden benches and the small tables are a bit uncomfortable. Oh wow, good neighbor was like a warm hug on this cold, rainy December day! I cannot believe I have never been here before. The greenery and the decor was so comforting. It was definitely busy on a Tuesday afternoon but we snagged a corner bench by the window and thanked the coffeeshop gods!!! I loved the Asian and Desi inspired flavors. The rose and cardamom latte was excellent. The chai latte was also divine! The chili paneer sandwich was the perfect spice and comfort food for a rainy day. The veggie sando was great too! It's also so rare to find veggie onigiri - loved the mushroom one!! Overall, one of my new fave spots in Bmore!!!!
Unique, creative, and vibrant cafe with a great outdoor atmosphere and drinks! The overall vibes and ambience were amazing- the outdoor seating area is a must. It's such a quaint, peaceful escape. They have plenty of drink options. My friend got a chai latte while I got their Strawberry Fields Matcha. The Matcha was incredible and delicious; my friend was happy with their chai. We'd come again for the vibes and drinks, but not the food. The food took a long time to come. We were both disappointed with the food- I got the Chili Paneer sandwich which honestly tasted like cheesy burrata garlic bread. Paneer shouldn't be like burrata! I tasted no spices and it was very bland- the "green chutney" wasn't chutney at all and it was not good or flavorful. I really expected an Indian twist, which it wasn't. My friend didn't like the beet salad since it was all just raw veggies with no texture, cooked veggies, or flavor added. While our food expectations weren't met, this still is a must check out place to grab drinks and enjoy the scenery.
omg HOW have I never been here before?? Good Neighbor is located in Hampden with free street parking nearby that can be hit or miss, especially on weekends, so be prepared to walk over a couple of blocks. GN has indoor and outdoor seating and is a gorgeously decorated coffee shop / cafe / eatery. They sell books, records, cookware, and other miscellaneous trinkets in their shop as well. They have two restrooms which are stocked with free pads and tampons which I think is so kind of the business to offer! For alternative milks; they only have coconut and oat. I have to note that they have excellent customer service. I came in on around lunchtime on a Tuesday with a friend and they were already moderately popular. They answered some questions I had about their food and when they accidentally got my drink order wrong, they spotted the error before me and not only made me the drink I ordered, but also offered me the incorrect drink to keep as well. Hojicha latte with whole milk (iced) 4/5, ok so the issue here is while this was a good nicely roasted tasting hojicha, I had never tried hojicha iced before so while I do definitely recommend this, I say order this hot Iced Latte 3/5, I did not order this but it was given to me to keep as it was accidentally made. I'm not a coffee drinker but this tasted like an average iced coffee to me, if that's your thing, you can't go wrong with this Matcha latte with whole milk (iced) 4.5/5, I got this unsweetened as I wanted to try how bitter their matcha would be but this was a very pleasant surprise! I quite enjoyed this drink and the ratio of matcha:milk present Espresso Soda 3/5, my friend got this and noted that she didn't like the citrus lavender flavoring from soda and would have preferred a different blend with the espresso Spicy Salmon Onigiri 5/5, this onigiri came PACKED w/ fish and the spicy mayo was beautiful done Chili Paneer 5/5, what a sandwich! This was very filling and the chili was not overdone at all and paired well with the burrata that was melted in a way that allowed the cheese to stretch out nicely as you bite in
Ambiance is amazing, beautiful collection of art work, books, decor and furniture. The outdoor space was beautiful, perfect for reading or studying. We got the spicy mayo salmon ongiri and the miso mushroom ongirir, both were delicious! I need to go back to try more food. We also got ice matcha lattes, one with vanilla and one without. With vanilla was better than without. The one without vanilla was not sweet at all. Both a little milky, not very green for being ceremonial grade though.
pros: ambience is super nice to study and talk, and the onigiri was so good. cons: theres not a ton of parking space and my matcha latte tasted pretty watered down. overall a cute spot to sit and work
Fantastic spot for breakfast or coffee. Lots of unique coffee/espresso beverages, clearly made with care. Latte was perfectly creamy, with just the right amount of sweetness. Both sandwiches we ordered (bacon, egg, and cheese, and chili paneer) were bursting with flavor. The space is very aesthetic (don't forget to grab some photos for Yelp or Instagram ) and they have lots of cute items for sale too. Staff are so kind and helpful; they answered a ton of my questions about the menu.
Home of one of my absolute favorite breakfast sandwiches in town, the egg & cheese. They use high-quality sourdough, and the sauce on the sandwich makes it a unique offering. Recommend getting either their creative, seasonal latte (my favorite so far was the carrot spice) or a drip coffee. If you get drip, then you get one free refill, which is nice. Had the PB&J toast once (pictured here), which was tasty, though I prefer the egg & cheese. Staff are friendly and their musical selections are always top notch.
Back again. Still very tasty coffee and special Indian-fusion food. I ordered long black. Basically long espresso. Strong and tasty. Friends had different pour overs. Pour overs are slightly less bitter and bring more its own aroma. There is one that I can clearly tell the sour and fruity flavor. Really enjoyed it. Service was great and friendly. They added whole milk for me in my coffee (only half half at the counter). read more
good neighbor is your quintessential hipster bougie spot. I've been here a handful of times - and love getting their harvest bowl. It's brioche, fruit and cream with sumac, and it's craveable! I'm drooling thinking about it. The prices are a little highter - as I mentioned, it's hipster bougie and they sell lots of fun and decorative items. The staff never makes you feel like you're not welcome. The wifi isn't very fast, I've tried to work here a few times and was unable to log into my email. good neighbor feels like an oasis - they also have an amazing outdoor seating area, and a garden, and I think a small hotel in the back? Great coffee and one of my favorite breakfast items in the area. They had sold out of the harvest bowl the last time I went, so get here early! read more
Absolutely love this Hampden gem! The coffee is superb and vibes are excellent. The staff are all very kind and knowledgeable about the menu. Recently came back for a quick breakfast and everyone in my group loved our toasts. The seating inside fills up fast but there's plenty of outdoor space to enjoy fresh air now that the weather is warmer. Can't wait to come back to they their happy hour snacks and drinks! read more

Omg! This place is breath taking. The environment is so peaceful and quiet. After a long day of hiking I decided to stop by for coffee. Ended up trying a recommended that one of employees had recommended. His recommendation was perfect . I will surely be returning. read more
Went here for a Creative Mornings event, and what a gorgeous space! Th3 event was held outside, in their green space, and on top of the hill, they have a plant house, not sure if you can go in there, but the woman at the desk was giving me a run down on top of the cafe is an airbnb/hotel. The coffee shop is cute, and because I ate at the event I didn't have room to try anything, but I saw a couple plated and they gave a yum factor. Street parking read more

I enjoyed Good Neighbor! Came here on a rainy morning and ordered a cappuccino and their bacon egg and cheese sandwich. Coffee was standard and good, the sandwich was also good but nothing too crazy. Would have loved the option to add hot sauce or something spicy as that's how I tend to prefer my eggs. The space itself is really cute and comfortable. I liked how you could shop some of their home items as well. The people helping were friendly and helped me out when I was confused. Would definitely return! read more
Good Neighbor is such a charming coffee shop. It's away from the more touristy part of Bmore. Besides selling coffee, they also have a fun selection of homegoods and gifts. My boyfriend and I had a really fun time looking through all these unique and cute tchotchkes. It looks like a lot of people come here to work, most people had laptops when they came. We came here to get coffee and read. Do know it gets really busy. We had to wait for a table to open up for us and the line was almost out the door. The line goes pretty fast though. I ordered an iced matcha latte which was pretty good. He got a drip coffee and liked it. The people who work here are really kind and cool. The decor has a modern wooden aesthetic. I loved this coffee shop in Hampden. It just gives *esthetic*, with it's chic, minimalist decor and Le Labo toiletries. The staff follows the same vibe, so friendly they are not, but that's OK. I ordered the pumpkin spicy latte, which was good, though I would've liked more of the chili syrup to come through. The BLT was excellent. You can also buy home goods here and the curated selection was on point, with sundries that include Diaspora Co. products, one of my faves. I dig the offerings and the design and I'd return if in the area. read more

Clam block and east to find parking. Coffee has a nice flavor and acidity. They do some different kinds of coffee from Japan which was interesting to see. Breakfast sandwich also a little pricey ($12) was on nice bread and cheese was melted. Worth checking out read more
Good neighbor blew me away. Looking from the outside you wouldn't think it but it's a magical place. It's such a distinctive coffee shop that also houses a unique mini boutique hotel. The food and coffee were delicious. The entire place smelled heavenly and the staff and service were very kind and prompt. The ambiance was very warm, spacious, and inviting. I honestly didn't want to leave. There are plenty of outdoor and indoor seating available. Another thing I liked about them is that everything in the store is up for sale. If you want some unique pieces in your home- this is your place. Definitely going back. read more
Love good neighbor. Reminds me of LA's coffee shops. They have a beautiful indoor/outdoor area to work at (with wifi) and chill by yourself or with friends. Coffee is good and the food is pretty solid. I always get the PB&J Toast! They also sell cute little goods and have a great selection of art books. Love the energy in here. read more
This coffee shop is one of my favorites when I'm in town. In the winter, this shop is extra cozy and warm. The latte and cappuccino were very tasty, and the sandwiches were extremely good. Highly recommend their Orange Tarragon (OT) Latte. Their chickpea tuna flat sandwich was really tasty, and it was a great vegetarian option for lunch. The baristas were very friendly, and they carefully hand wrapped a mug we purchased as a gift with lots of care and thoughtfulness. read more

Coolest cafe alert! This space is part home goods store and part coffee shop, with plenty of seating (and potentially some food, although I think they had stopped serving food by the time I visited). The decor is straight out of a Pinterest mood board and I wish I could make my apartment mimic the decor. The staff was friendly and quick. I tried their specialty latte - a rose cardamom espresso drink. The flavor was subtle and delicious, neither too sweet nor too floral, but the drink had a weird bit of a grainy texture that I couldn't quite move past. Would definitely go back again for a classic iced latte. read more

Great coffee and a wonderful location (indoor and outdoor) that is unmatched by the management and service experience. The space can be cold at times and industrial but that does not match the interior deco vibe. Come for the coffee and go out back to look at the plants. read more

The coffee is delicious, the cups are solid and beautiful, and the vibe inside is very hipster chill. However, it will take fully forever to get your order. This is a place to linger, not to visit if you're in a rush. read more

Fancy-pants coffee! So freaking YUM! I love a good creative concoction curated by knowledgeable espresso artists! Added flavors really do play a huge role when it comes to espresso tonics--Good Neighbor excels in their tonic options. The pomegranate tonic is my favorite. read more
10/10 Vibes AND dog friendly! A little expensive but the coffee and food is gourmet and fresh tasting. The outside seating area is peaceful, and feels like a hidden oasis to catch up and collect your thoughts. There's also a cutsey plant store outside too called green neighbor, and it tops off the vibe. Everyone who works there is super nice and personable. They'll make you smile, yknow. Really nice place to get work done! Inside is really aesthetic and they sell several things from candles to books, other household items and of course coffee and food. I got an iced vanilla latte and luckily was able to grab a table right when someone left. Otherwise it may be hard to find seating. The building itself is over 100 years old and good neighbor has managed to keep that charm. Overall this was a great stop and I wish I was able to spend more time to look through everything they were selling too. read more

Good Neighbor is serving up cups of joe and small bites in their chic, Hampden digs. When you walk into Good Neighbor, you're greeted with a beautiful open layout design that flows from the front door, to the coffee bar, over to the cozy seating areas. One of the first things I noticed about Good Neighbor is the large selection of pottery and glassware on the built in shelves. If you love mid-century modern style, you will want to buy every single piece of pottery there! They even have a small bookshelf with a few books for sale. I was greeted by a friendly barista who patiently told me about each of the pastries on the menu that day. I ended up ordering a goat cheese/spinach/onion/sundried tomato pastry (don't think it had a name) and an oat milk iced latte. I was a little disappointed that the pastry couldn't be heated up. When I asked, it seemed like the barista had no way of heating it up which I thought was a little strange for a coffee shop. Nevertheless, I grabbed my order after a brief wait and headed out back to see the real star of the show: their outdoor space. There is a large deck with several different tables and chairs looking out at the sizable garden. There's even umbrellas to help shield you from the strong sun. Steps up the hill will lead you to the greenhouse - I didn't get a chance to check that out but it looked really cool from the outside! When I was there, there was a little bit of commotion as they were setting up for a wedding. All in all, Good Neighbor is a great local spot for a pick-me-up and their outdoor space makes it easy to spread out, enjoy a good book, and catch some sun rays. read more

New fave place to chill and do work! Good coffee. Good food. Cool, stylish, friendly workers with great music tastes no matter which one of them chose the playlist that day lol. DEF Insta worthy!!! So glad I found this cafe in Hampden!! Hampden is prob one of my fave little neighborhoods in Baltimore. Good neighbor is a short walk from the Main Street where everything is at, however there's a good amount of shops and restaurants around here too! Also easy to find parking. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Has clean bathrooms and extra points for providing sanitary products too. Inside has a lot of cute ceramic mugs, cups, plates, more kitchen gadgets, candles, other home things.. they're all so cute (and pricey). There's also wine, tea, spices, and more!! Check out their green house outside as well! Many unique plants and also a nice floral arrangement kinda shop too. I love it here it's so cute omg. Coffee is good. I liked their chickpea toast and it was pretty filling actually. More of a sweet toast. Overall great cute place. It's cute idk how many times I'll say it's cute but it fr is!! good neighbor is by far my favorite cafe in the baltimore area! ive gotten all the riceballs and ive tried their drink which is called "angel baby" everything is so wonderful. i highly recommend coming to good neighbor, sitting down, and order a drink or two! read more
This place is definitely a good time, great taste place !! Today was my 2nd visit and equally as great. I met a friend for midday beverages, toast and girl talk and she was impressed. We both spent at least 30 minutes admiring the calm, tranquil and welcoming atmosphere as we enjoyed our Butter Toast, Lavender Vanilla Latte and Jasmine Pearl Hot Tea. The Butter Toast was cute, soft, unique and yum. It has the perfect cinnamon taste that isn't overbearing. Although we ordered 2 different hot beverages, our descriptions were similar. We both commented on how smooth the taste was and there was no separation or after taste from beverage sweetener. Just smooooootthhhh. I will most definitely revisit this place again. I appreciate the work space provided as well as the serene atmosphere. If you haven't visited, what are you waiting for? read more

Really good coffee in a small shop! Service was quick despite it being very busy on the weekends. Keep in mind the shop is small, so there's not a lot of seating for you to sit around. Along the walls of the store, there are shelves of items for purchase that range from kitchen items to condiments to coffee. Would definitely recommend to visit :). They also serve some food items if you're not interested in getting coffee or any of the other drinks they offer. read more

Soooooooooo good. The BLT was so good, I got it on sourdough instead of multigrain. Absolutely delicious. I also had the peach tea which was also so good, I will definitely be coming back! These guys work so hard and are awesome. The outdoor area is also awesome, just as the inside is. read more
I had some stops in the area and decided to get a coffee. Semi-busy on a Friday before lunch at 11. A decent size coffee shop with a good variety of seating and really liked their outdoor area with patio and step/seats. I ordered a Cappuccino with Oat Milk & I saw this Donut and once I found out it was Raspberry Pistachio.....Just a hint of Pistachio and Raspberry frosting and light Creme filling-wow! This is a pastry made by Mera Kitchen Collective. In addition to Mera, also carry assorted pastries/cookies from the Ovenbird brought in fresh daily. My Capp was excellent. I glanced at the menu and got distracted by the Pistachio donut but clearly they have some interesting toast selections which appear to be their specialty- I will definitely return to try! This place is lovely. Nice natural aesthetic with a small amount of curated goods to shop and plants for sale and books to peruse. But they are serious about coffee with pourovers a nice selection of beans. The overnight oats were excellent as was the sandwich. There is plenty of seating though the tables are very small. There is a large outdoor area with tables and benches in a nice landscaped park like setting. I bought a bag of Onyx beans and received a free drip coffee. read more
I love it here. Whenever I have to come to the city I stop here. The Hampden/Falls Road area is my favorite! Good Neighbor is hands down one of my favorite coffee shops. It reminds me of all the little shops I loved when I lived California! The service is always amazing. It doesn't hurt that you can bee bop up to the Greenhouse! Hello plants! Parking is a breeze which is my main deterrent from coming to the city. We live waaaay up North from the city but the other day when we lost power I specifically drove down to Good Neighbor. You could say I'm obsessed. I drink here, I eat here, I relax here, I've even been a part of photos at both locations. It's a 10/10. read more

I remember when they first opened so I'm so happy that they are still here and have really grown. I ordered a latte I'm not usually an oat milk drinker but this was surprisingly delicious. As always they took my order when I first walked in. Not the greeting I was used to from the door as the young lady didn't speak until she was taking my order but she was also busy helping the guy in the back out a lot. I ordered my coffee and my breakfast sandwich. The coffee was delivered in under 7 mins. However I waited roughly around 30 mins for my sandwich. Which by the time I got my sandwich I had already finished my coffee. The sandwich was made on the most delicious bread and chili oil. As always this coffee shop is filled with surprises in every corner. They sell a-lot of products from small owned businesses which is really nice. The decor is inviting and welcoming. And on a nice day you can sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. read more
Utterly in love with this space, inside and out. Last fall a friend and I stopped in (out) for their chaat hour. It was such a nice vibe. Delicious food, balanced drinks, and smooth beats set the mood. (Highly recommend for date night.) I loved the small plates. They are perfect for sharing. The pork n beans was the star of the show! This was definitely NOT your momma's beanie weenies. The pork belly was insanely tender. The dish was the perfect balance of savory and sweet. Chef DJ is AMAZING! The service is impeccable! Like Chick-Fil-A level! On my second visit, I went with friends for toasts and hot drinks. I didn't actually order anything but I felt so welcomed. I wanted to sit and stay a while but you know covid . . . Overall, just go! You won't be disappointed! read more

Love love love. Love the space (indoor and outdoor), love the food, love the drinks and love the ambiance. I remember thinking that this space really had transported you from Baltimore. The outdoor seating space definitely had me thinking I was on a rooftop in DC or NYC when busy Falls road was literally steps away. I also cannot say enough about the food. DJ is one of the best chefs in the city and he shows out at Good neighbor, if you havent been to a Chaat then you are missing out for sure. Inside good neighbor is also adorable on the inside you will want to buy everything they have on display from the chic stoneware plates and glasses to the best smelling soap and lotion I have smelled ever (seriously if my mama hadnt raised me right I would have taken the soap right out the bathroom thats how good it was, also the inside was not technically open when i went which is why i didnt buy it outright but im going back!) anyhoo please take a stop into good neighbor they are taking all the precautions and if you have a green thumb you can walk right up the steps and get you plant love on. I can think of a more well rounded space in the city and I am absolutely in love with it. read more
Be a good neighbor and make your way to this cute little cafe/brunch spot/date spot. An all in one! They have awesome coffee, beer and wine. Name a place that has ALL 3! Me and my friend decided to trek here a couple of hours before they close. Only psychopaths get their first cup of joe at 2 PM. We both got the iced coffee Japanese style. She said it was very sweet and milky, just the way I prefer my coffee, but it wasn't as sweet as I wanted it 3/5. All the toasts seemed very appetizing, but of course I went the Indian route and got the chili paneer toast 4.5/5. I thought there would be chunks of paneer, but the paneer was melted like cheese. However the green chutney that came along with it 500000/5. It wasn't too spicy. It wasn't too sweet. It was perfection in a container. I could just drink it straight! As for ambience and interior, this place hits the nail on the wall! It has the perfect *neighbourly* aesthetic. The color scheme - blush, tan, and black are all my favorite colors in one place. There was also outdoor seating which is where we decided to sit. I definitely think it would've been prettier during the summertime instead of with snow on the ground. However, it was a pleasant sunny February day to get some natural vitamin D with our "morning" jolt. As for COVID regulations - the workers were wearing masks. There was a hand sanitizer bottle right before you enter (even the bottle was cute!) In order for us to sit outside, he had to put us on a list. My assumption so there aren't a lot of people outside and everyone is socially distant. read more
Good Neighbor is absolutely AWESOME! When I pulled up, I was totally impressive by the beautiful wooden building. The cute mirrored sign with the welcoming statement was a great added touch. Be prepared to wait when you arrive, they are taking Covid restrictions very seriously, which I appreciate! The inside is laid out beautifully decorated modernly. I was surprised to learn that everything in the building was for sale. The furniture, the plants, the books, everything. I was also equally impressed by the outside eating area, the greenhouse and the area where you can make your own bouquet of flowers. They were hosting a vendor event in the outdoor space, which was awesome as well. As for to the food! I ordered the Floral Butter and the Apple Crumble Toast. I was surprised at the size of the brioche. The flavor was great as well. I definitely will be back very soon, more than likely after covid is a decent memory. I would love to sit comfortably in their beautiful outdoor space with a cup of coffee and a nice slice of toast. read more

This street front cafe blends artsy vibe and your best friends living room (if it had lots of books and some cool curated art and pottery. The coffee is great, they have daily and seasonal choice.
