So I grabbed up my prescription and past prescription bottles and went to the pharmacy to meet with her (Tiffany). The upshot was that I had ordered the generic just so I would have a back up in case I couldn't get the real deal. Tiffany was so kind and patient with me. I think I might actually give her flowers at some point soon. It's really hard not being right! Anyway, judge this business by your own experience because we are all human and have off days. My experience was very good.

Another thing I like about this pharmacy is that I can refill my prescriptions online, even though it was a bit of a hassle to set up, it is much more convenient then making a phone call and it sends refill requests automatically, which is awesome. It's also cheaper. I get rewards points for gas when I pick up my prescription and discounts on them, which I never got from any of the other places in town. Definitely one of the best pharmacies I have experienced in my life.

I went in on Tuesday to pick it up and after standing in line for 15 minutes because there was only one person working the register, the technician told me it "wasn't ready yet" and they needed another thirty minutes to get it ready. I said what do you mean, 30 minutes? I ordered a refill on the computer line and it told me I could pick it up on Monday after 11. She said, "Well, that's the automated system. We'll get it started and it'll take 30 minutes to get it ready and you can wait for it." I said "What do I have to do to get a refill if calling the automated line doesn't do it? Do I have to come in here and ask an actual person for a refill in order to actually get a refill? What's the purpose of having a phone number to call to get a refill if that's the case?" She was not able to process what I was saying. She kept saying "It'll take 30 minutes and you can just wait for it." I said to forget it, this is ridiculous and I turned away to go and she tossed out a snotty "Have a nice daaay" as I was walking away and it made me so mad I got the manager involved. She was all "It's our fault, we're trying to catch up since Rite Aid closed, we're short-handed because no one wants to come and work for us because we're not offering enough pay, when you call the automated line you're the last in a line of 800 people then when you come to pick up your prescription we move you to the front of the line and fill it." Okay, so you're not really "working" on my refill and you need another 30 minutes to finish it up, you're actually waiting until I come in to pick it up to start it. I asked her the same question I asked the technician, if calling the automated line is pointless, what do I have to do to get a refill? Actually walk in to the pharmacy and request it from a person, at which time you will start working on it? She went back to the pharmacy and went behind the counter to fill the pill bottle and brought it to the cash register. As I was paying for it, she told me that since I was so unhappy with them this would be the last refill they would fill for me, like I hadn't already figured that out for myself. As I was driving home I got a text from Walgreens telling me my refill was ready to be picked up, good grief. They'll be going the way of Rite Aid any day now.

They said that it was an error in the system that often happens and they were very rude and unhelpful. They said they did not have time that evening before close to fill it. So I drove 30 miles to another pharmacy that had later hours. I am tired of having to interact with surly staff. I am moving my RX's to another pharmacy further away just to avoid having to deal with grumpy people. It would help a great deal if the system for requesting refills was intuitive and user friendly, but it is painful to use and hard to know if they filled your RX.

I came one warm September Saturday in 2021 looking to see what was available as a cool treat. They offered a variety of different ice cream, sundae, and milkshake flavors. After mulling over the options I finally decided on the peanut butter milkshake. To order I went to the main counter and asked to get a milkshake. One of the workers came over and I got to see them make the milkshake as I waited. I ordered the milkshake to go, drinking it in my warm car as I made my way to Leavenworth to get some pizza for a meal. Surprisingly, the 16 ounce serving was not overly filling. Good balance in flavors and thickness that was perfect priming for my belly pre-pizza. The workers were helpful, friendly, and efficient.
