Ordered: Chicken w/cashews-very bland with HUGE barely cooked green pepper chunks; Pork Lo Mein-meh, not bad, not good w/tiny bit of pork in it; Boneless pork-not bad...a bit too sweet; Steamed dumplings-absolute joke! VERY thick & huge, bland dumplings...tiny bit of meat in them...tiny cup of sauce for way too many dumplings; Won Ton soup-good; egg rolls, decent but a bit bland. We have had lunch over the years, and the food is excellent. Portions are fine, and the service is great. The inside dining closed for Covid, and they haven't brought it back. We are disappointed by that. If you like take-out like many do, you'll love the place. I do hope they find that they can reopen for inside dining. read more

Because so much time has passed, I decided to give them another try. I ordered (via Uber Eats) the sesame chicken, pork, fried rice, and wonton soup. First off, I did not receive sesame chicken. I honestly don't know what kind it is. Is the sweet-and-sour? Is it orange? Anyhoo, I tried a little of the chicken. The chicken is super soft. Isn't the chicken supposed to have a little bit of crunch to it? And I STILL don't like the flavor of the egg roll. I will say that it wasn't as greasy this time. I think I've learned my lesson. I won't patronize this restaurant again. I'm not trying to put the restaurant down. It's just not something that I personally enjoy. read more

The wait is ridiculous. I called in the order at 20 after 6, they told me 20 minutes. It's now 703 and I'm still here in a packed small waiting room with people who've been waiting an hour. They are quick to take your money then tell you 2 minutes for your food... lies I sure hope the food is good. If I hadnt already paid I would leave. Ok now I ate the food - basic. Just tried Good Taste for the first time! It is my new favorite restaurant. I love spicy food and it is the first time that I have checked extra spicy and actually received an extra spicy meal. It makes you wonder how a little town like Vestal can possibly support three Chinese/Asian restaurants​ all in close proximity to each other. This new place has become my favorite. They started offering a Lowcountry boil. We ordered the 1 pound scallop and 1 pound shrimp combo with added sausage and it was amazingly, surprisingly excellent! Would not have expected this from a Chinese food takeout place. It came with corn and large red potatoes that were done perfectly the shrimp and scallops were amazing and cooked for to perfection. Tried this new restaurant for the first time. It was really great. The take out was ready in record time. The Hot and Sour Soup was amazing. No one was disappointed. I was eager to try the new Chinese place in town and to be fair I gave them 3 weeks to work out the kinks of the operation. I ordered Orange Beef, and unfortunately it was terrible. The sauce was sickly sweet and the beef was 95% dough and hardly any beef. I asked for brown rice, but still got white rice. My wife felt her shrimp Lo mein dish was just average. No flavors stood out, just a jumble of sauce and noodles. Love the Wonton soup at Good Taste! It's the best I've had and you get the largest portion of dumplings in the soup that I've had anywhere. We also like the spring rolls, the pork lo mein, the moo shu pork, the fried rice and the eggplant and shrimp. Their boiled Cajun seafood dinner is epic! The online order system is great! You can specify how much spice you want in your dish and any other instructions you want to personalize your order, such as the condiments you want, etc. You can pay online or opt to pay when you pick up. This isn't a fast food restaurant. The menu items are made up individually and are piping hot when your order is handed over. This is my first time checking into this Chinese restaurant my boyfriend and I liked how very clean and tidy everything is, the customer service was was great. We ordered won ton soup and chicken and broclie with 2 egg rolls we especially liked the egg rolls because they were not greasy like other Chinese resturants we tried before. Love the food here. The cajun boil is excellent and a good price compared to the other restaurant down the road. My 3 star review is due to the ordering process I had last night. I ordered online, was given the normal 15 min pick-up time. When I showed up I paid for my order and was told it was not ready yet. I waited over 20 minutes. It seems they didn't even start the order until I arrived and paid. I was not the only person there that waited a long time. It seems this is the new way they do things. Overall a decent Chinese cuisine; the fried shrimp were shaped appropriately with the right amount of batter. The sauce for which was a clever mix. The fried dumplings were a little on the dry side, and unlike other places I have been the crab rangoon were not wrapped traditionally but very good. The entrees were for the most part very good. The sesame chicken had a decent oil sauce and good flavor, the orange beef had a good finish and served with a slice of Valencia orange with chili peppers lightly placed throughout. read more

I ordered the food on door dash and picked up the food when the app said it was ready. I have never had an issue with door dash and my meal has always been ready when the app tells me. First time here for take out. The food was ready in the time frame they said it would be. This restaurant is very clean inside. We got vegetable fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, pineapple tofu, vegetable spring rolls and rice pudding. We never had vegetable fried rice this good anywhere. It has enough broth in it that is is not dry at all. There are many kinds of veggies in it. Water chestnuts is a first that I ever had that in a fried rice. The spring rolls are not greasy at all and they are a good size roll. The sweet and sour chicken flavor is amazing and I never had a dish like this that had peppers and onions on it. Obviously we will be eating leftovers for the next few days but this is the best Chinese place in the Triple Cities. Plus the customer service is excellent. They were so happy that I told them it was my first visit and said to be sure to come back. They threw in some extras to try. This is out of my way but will go out of my way and come back here.
