Come to find out, it won't fit our stroller version. We noticed the box did not read "Universal" so it was mislabeled on the website. I promptly sealed it back in the original packaging unused, and went on a search to find out how to ship it back to GoodBuy Gear. Lo and behold, they have NO customer service phone number. You can only send a message and hope to be written back. I explained my issue, and awaited said return email. Victoria promptly wrote me back, stating that their would be no refund as this not fall under their return policy. I was surprised, as she had no info about the issue we experienced, so I wrote back again, stating the issue and the Gear-antee. She asked me to send a video and version of my stroller. I was excited to try GoodBuyGear as I think it's a great idea. I ordered a BabyBjorn Carrier One and a Love to Dream Swaddle. The BabyBjorn Carrier was clearly counterfeit (I had bought one direct from BabyBjorn and wanted a second as we have twins so I had a direct comparison). GBG sent me the wrong swaddle as well; they sent the transition swaddle in an entirely different color rather than the stage 1 swaddle. Customer service hasn't been very helpful or apologetic. The only thing they mentioned was its open box and unused. This was acceptable and went ahead and purchased it. Upon receiving the product, it had clear signs of usage and obvious functional flaws. However, when I requested a return label so that I could return it to them, I was told that we didn't qualify for a refund?? Essentially their refund policy covers NOTHING unless the item is fully broken or damaged. So if you are unsatisfied with the product for ANY REASON other than it came smashed to pieces, or if you are a mom with 2 kids under the age of 2 and find out that you will have to spend $1000 total for your item to work, TOO BAD!! I responded and explained that everything was still in the plastic and that I was simply not satisfied with the purchase and asked once more if they would send a return label and help process a refund. I was very excited about this crib we were getting, it looked like it was in nearly perfect condition for half the price they sell it for online. We chose to pay the $9.90 delivery fee to have it delivered. The communication about delivery lacked a bit for me, I was under the impression that it would be delivered within one to 3 business days not that we would be notified of when it would be delivered within one to three business days. The delivery driver brought the crib in and set it literally right in front of my door/walkway in a way in which you could barely get in and out of the apartment. I asked him if he could help me move it. He said he wasn't allowed (even though I am almost 8 months pregnant). I mentioned the black scratches on the side of the crib that were not in the picture of the product I had chosen to purchase. He said he didn't know and he turned around and left. I had to ask a leasing agent from my apartment office to help me move it out from in front of our door. I called to let the business know of the issues and ask what could be done. I was told they were sorry, it's a small business run by a group of mothers, they only have one delivery van, they were warned not to have their delivery people enter homes when they started their business, their child was throwing a fit and they just got home from work etc... very unprofessional. Lots of excuses. I was given the option to have them come pick it up or have a partial refund. I chose to have them pick it up (assuming they meant today or at the very least tomorrow), and apparently the business only has one van and so they can not pick it up until next week. So we tried to arrange a time in which my husband will be home, they said they will have to ask around and discuss and email us to let us know if that time will work (again, seems kind of unprofessional). Then we thought "maybe a partial refund would work better and we will just take the crib apart and recycle it, so that it will be less complicated (because the woman sounded exasperated and like it was a pain/complication to process this return) the partial refund was $30! We paid $10 for delivery alone. I suggest Once Upon a Child or Facebook Marketplace if you want to go to a thrift/consignment store for baby purchases, at least you know what you are getting and there isn't a bunch of run-around. The second item I ordered was a smart device that immediately upon turning on did not work and gave an error message that there was a critical problem with the device. This product clearly was not tested for quality or to be in working order as the site guarantees. Ordered two Mamaroos for the local struggling NICU in my town. They both arrived jumbled together in one large box with a wad of paper for protection. Happily, nothing had broken. Separated the two and discovered a vital power cord was missing. Immediately wrote customer service. Email response from Emily that they'd check. I reminded them our NICU could really use these asap, but one was useless without that cord. Another email saying they'd located one and was shipping it immediately. Gave me a tracking # and the cord sat waiting for pickup for a few days. Asked Emily about it again and was assured it'd only take a few days to get here. A week later, no cord. Tracking said it was still in Denver. Emailed again and was told they'd contact the shipper. Never heard back. Still, no cord. No idea what's going on, but I can't recommend this place no matter how great the prices are. I had sold items through them previously and had a great experience. I made quite a bit of money and it was convenient and easy. They recently changed their payouts on items and it is a ridiculous. You make 10% on things under $50 which means a $49 item will make you a whopping $4.90. Brand new items in great condition and I made less than a dollar on them. I would never have given them some of the items that I did if I had known they changed their payouts. I could have sold it for much higher and pretty easily. I agree with other reviews read, they give you a small percentage for your items regardless of condition. You are much better off selling yourself or just donating. For me it's mostly the principle, if a company can make more money, they will do whatever they can to do so with no regard to the public let alone those helping them make a profit, and with no prior notice, only after I addressed the variance. I purchased a mockingbird stroller including the second seat from here. They came in after about a week and they sent me the wrong stroller. They sent me a single stroller instead of the double two single stroller that I ordered. I had to spend almost 2 hours of my time packaging it back up and scheduling a FedEx pick up for the box because it was so large I couldn't take it to the store. After going back-and-forth with Customer Service for three days the only way they wanted to recompense me for so much inconvenience was a $20 gift card to the store. That was after much discussion and back and forth. I do believe that if I hadn't pushed for some form of recompense they wouldn't have given me any. As parents of four buying good quality products (sometimes second hand) is something we are familiar with and never had issue with. I was so excited to see they had a couple high end high chairs we had been looking for and drove almost 45 minutes to pick up. Long story short, I was sold, not one, but two broken high chairs -- one with a broken center post and the other that's brake is completely broken. I know mistakes happen, however these are two major safety issues and I would heavily urge parents to consider looking elsewhere. Though mistakes happen, that seems too coincidental and if they are missing big issues like that, what else aren't they checking for? A child could have been severely injured rolling away (no brake), or completely tipping the chair over. I also wasn't impressed by the initial response I received from their in store personnel, however I will say one of the owners Amanda did email and was apologetic. I tested it for all functionality and everything works. It's obvious they did an amazing job cleaning it, and I'm quite impressed with their packaging...specifically how they used an Uppababy shipping box (the stroller brand) and even included an owner's manual. I ordered Mockingbird stroller accessories, total of $100. The only reason I even ordered from a shady place like this is because Mockingbird has a back order of 6-7 weeks. Looking back now I should have just waited. Good buy gear are thieves who stole my money and did not try to help at all. I received delivery confirmation but I did not receive order. I notified good buy gear who told me there was nothing they can do. "Once they receive delivery confirmation, they are no longer responsible" Is what I was told. I spoke with Mikeala, Katie and Amanda, all were not helpful at all and they all continued to say there was nothing they can do. I contacted fedex myself and was told only the shipper can file a lost package claim or provide written authorization for me to do so on their behalf. I forwarded this information and was only then told that good buy gear would file the claim. After 2 weeks of not hearing from anyone I follow up and was informed the fedex claim was denied and again there is nothing more they can do. Just unfair, never receiving something you paid for.
