He explained that he would have to remove the filling in order to investigate the issue and when I said I didn't want to, he backed off. I scheduled another appointment to get a new filling on the cavity and decided that I also wanted him to check out the sensitivity we had spoken about in the first visit. He told me he would conduct a procedure that would not be too costly as he was not sure exactly what the problem was and he did not want it to become to expensive for me (my insurance does not cover a lot of procedures). I am glad I asked him to check the sensitivity because it turned out to be a cavity under my filling so that day I received two fillings. The procedure was fast and he was very understanding and helpful. He was also very good at his job. He made me feel comfortable about getting the local anesthesia shot and asked me if i was ok when he saw I was uncomfortable during the procedure. I never once felt like he was trying to get more money out of me. I was not sold on some other procedures as I have been at other dentist office. The staff are all very nice and welcoming. I would totally refer this office and will definitely keep coming back. The only downside is that yes, there is a wait to see the dentist. They only have one doctor and one dental assistant. Dr. Shalomov is very busy and is going from one room to the next so be prepared to wait. However, once he is with you it all goes pretty fast and he does good work.

They're dishonest and look for things you don't have in order to charge you exorbitant prices. I came here to get my teeth treated. The dentist seemed hesitant in his diagnosis, and the hygienist was even worse. I don't have the best teeth, but I do maintain good daily hygiene. The hygienist recommended a deep cleaning because I had tartar and plaque. The cleaning cost $795. Then the supposed budget coordinator arrived, and the treatment for my teeth would cost $12,185. At another place in the same area, the treatment would have cost me $5,533. Even so, I paid half the cleaning, $395, to start, and they only cleaned half of my mouth, on the right side, both upper and lower. During the week, I got two second opinions from other dentists and called dental insurance companies and plans. The result: I have no plaque, no tartar, and a cleaning wasn't necessary right now. I had a broken tooth, and these dishonest people at Gentle Dental wanted to put a crown on me for $3,050. The other two dentists recommended the following: you have 70% of your tooth still good; it's best to preserve it by getting a filling that, with care, will last and keep part of your natural tooth.
