They gate was still closed, so…read moreI left a typed note explaining that I wanted an HVAC diagnostic because the system motor was working, but it wasn't blowing either hot or cold air. I added that the actuator was moving and the heater hose was getting hot, but the air coming through on any setting was neither hot nor cold. So I wanted a diagnostic to figure out what was wrong. I also wrote that on their envelope before dropping my key in their box. Their lot was so packed, I had to park in an overflow lot across the street. By 11 AM, I hadn't heard from them, so I decided to give them a call to make sure they found my vehicle in the overflow lot and to confirm my notes. I called them 14 times between 11 AM and 3 PM and there was never an answer. Their voicemail message said to leave a message and they would respond within 24 hours. But I didn't have 24 hours. I needed my vehicle back the same day. I called an Uber to take me back there after 3 PM to find out what was going on and that's when I finally got a call. But I was already less than a block away. When I went in, they said they were calling to tell me exactly what I told them in my notes and when I made the appointment, that the AC wasn't working and they wanted to know if I wanted them to run a diagnostic. After 8 hours, they did nothing to my vehicle other than turn on the heat and AC and only told me it had the very same problem that I brought it in to have them diagnose. According to them, the appointment was just a placeholder and did not impact when vehicles are serviced, which defeats the entire point of an appointment. They said I should have told them if I needed my vehicle the same day, even though nobody was there when I dropped it off and nobody was answering the phones. As for the phone calls, they said they only had 1 person answering 5 lines and that's why none of my 14 calls over 8 hours were answered, and it was my responsibility to leave a message ... in spite of the fact that their voicemail said it could take them 24 hours to respond. I've been here before and the service was much better than it was today. Those days, I'd give them 5 stars. But the absolute minimum I need for someone servicing my vehicles is that they have someone to answer at least 1 of 14 phone calls, and that they pay attention to the reason I dropped my vehicle off in the first place.

I explained the bracket had been previously welded and suggested a used or remanufactured replacement since Ford no longer makes the part. They ended up welding it again. The bigger issue was the rear door repair. I was told the door would be fixed so it could open properly. When I picked up the truck, the door did open, but it was not fully reassembled correctly. A key latch component at the top of the door was not installed or addressed, which caused the door to vibrate violently while driving and created constant loud rattling in the cab. I called the shop right away. The mechanic I spoke with seemed willing to look at it and told me to bring the truck back in so he could fix it. Since I was working, my elderly parents brought the truck in for me. According to them, the mechanic was preparing to correct the issue when someone at the front desk stopped the work and said nothing would be done unless additional money was paid. This was surprising, especially since the repair was already paid for and the issue was clearly related to the original work. My parents were simply trying to explain the situation, but they felt disrespected during the conversation, and the issue was not resolved. Overall, I was disappointed with the quality of the repair, the lack of completion on the door issue, and how the situation was handled afterward.

I checked their website and "liked" them on facebook. I mentioned this on my visit and received a discount on my oil change. They also rotated my tires for free. They found the fuel leak and replaced a section of fuel rail that was leaking. Steve handles the phone calls. Tony does the mechanical work. Super nice guys. They aren't cheap, but they are better than the dealer. This is the only place I will take my car for service.
