Great service and great pricing. Went into a Pep boys and they overloaded me with a bunch of "issues" with my car that they said I should get fixed. Decided to get a second opinion and half of the things were just ways they were trying to upsell me services. Action did the opposite- they not only explained to me but showed me things that were not needed at the time and fixed what was needed at an affordable price. My car has been running great since. I contacted action auto in December because my car would not start. I did not have away to get my car to the shop and they were nice enough to arrange my car to be towed. I needed a new starter. I had my car back within 2 days. Today! My car would not start. Action auto sent team members to my house to try to jump my car ( it didn't work) so they had my car towed to their shop. They learned that there was an issue with a pin and fixed it. They did not charge me due to the fact that I was serviced by them in December due to a similar issue. Awesome customer service!!! If you love being scammed & lied to, this is a great place for you. Took my (perfectly working) car for an oil change. Not only did it take the entire day, when I got it back, they had me walk across burnt mill road (during rush hour!), where they store their cars. I will add the owner of the shop, harbor freight, across the street said they have issues with them dumping cars and cluttering their lot without permission. I drove all of 20 seconds before my power steering went and I had to pull into a nearby lot. I had to park & turn it off. Magically my battery went out, car wouldn't start. I marched over and demanded they fix it, as I KNOW my car was fine before. They said my "battery was bloated and leaking" my alternator "went bad" and my oil tank was completely "bone dry and burning oil." (I know for a fact none of that was true). Owner or whoever was at front refused to give me a price and said they had to order parts and it would be a few days to fix. Absolutely NOT. They told me if I didn't want their help, I could take my car off their "personal property." The most they did for me was put an external battery to get it off their precious little property. I called a tow truck to take my car to my family mechanic (because I needed to take it somewhere COMPETENT), the tow truck driver checked everything and said my alternator was bad and that was all. He asked me how old the alternator was and when I said 2 years, he said it definitely wasn't 2 years old. He said the alternator was put in very recently. So yes. They put a bad alternator in my car (during their 9 hours of an oil change) on purpose so they could fill their pockets with more money. Unsurprisingly they offered me a fix: replacing BOTH my battery and alternator for a cool sum of $ 570 (which they pulled out of nowhere after I called a tow). They essentially took out my well functioning alternator, replaced it with a faulty one , and when my car ultimately died, offered an expensive fix. And all I wanted was an oil change. Oh, and they left dirty rags & old stickers. in my car. I have never been more DISGUSTED in my life. How do you look at an innocent customer and say yeah, let's put a bad alternator in her car so she'll have to spend thousands. Jokes on them, because karma is sweet and I am not a person to be messed with. Went to an actual mechanic (Service Automotive in Sewell,NJ) and they replaced the faulty alternator with a new one. My car is running perfectly now. My battery was fine. My car wasn't burning oil like the Action Auto world people had said. THIS SHOP WILL RUIN YOUR VEHICLE IF GIVEN THE CHANCE. Yeah they're some good reviews, but would you REALLY want to give them the chance to scam you? No. Look elsewhere & save your money (and sanity). read more

I got my car towed there last Tuesday n today has been a week every other day I been calling about my car because the lug nut is completely stripped n needed them to get it off n put a new tire on I got a call on Thursday of last week to get my approval for the new tir n lug nut n the lady told me the cost will be around 140-155 which I said was ok never heard back from them I called on Monday they said they working on it call again Tuesday the 14th n the man said they will call me back at the end of the day to give me a progress no call I lost a week of not working with no car I was referred by my mechanic to them n I'm working wat did they do with my car cs this is not how u do business maybe cause I'm a woman I will have my uncle call up there to see wat is going on read more

The absolute WORST car shop EVER. I went to get simple sensors changed, however my car is not drivable anymore and I now need to get a new one. In the span of 2 weeks, we came back to this shop FIVE times to get these " magically appearing issues" resolved. And each time we left, a new problem magically popped up. Finally our car started smoking. A perfectly functioning car that just needed a sensor changed is now not drivable due to the mechanics negligence. Then when asked for a full refund, the owner said no and that he would need to check the car out to see the problem, after we had already returned FIVE times to allow him to fix the issues. Not to mention, he promised a full refund if the problem was not fixed. Which it obviously wasn't and had worsened. We even had to call the cops, which apparently isn't the first time this shop has had law enforcement called for shady work. If you value your time, car, and money, please AVOID at all costs. read more

Just had an estimate done there as a recommendation from an acquaintance. No complaints. The people working there were friendly and respectful. Seemed very reasonable and fair, and I've been to my fair share of repair shops. Nice, roomy customer waiting area, but nothing too fancy. The garage is well separated from where I was. Only downside was the limited space to drive around and put cars, but can't fault them for that. read more
