Went in for highlights. 30 minutes until I was seated for my appt. My hair came out 5 different colors. 1 side is blonder than the rest of my hair. Not happy and had to make another appt the next week with another salon. Def. not going back. Other than that, cute salon, clean. That is good and all, but the goal is to come out with good hair...which I didn't get. $$ down the drain. read more

I've only had a blow out from Kendra at Goodform so far but love the place and of course Kendra! She is the only stylist I would trust to change or correct my hair color . oh my head!!! literally!!! i have no idea what all these others reviews are talking about when they give this place 5 stars!! let me tell you about my experience... my appointment was scheduled for 6 pm with daniel. he was running late and still working on his previous client and would come over to me occasionally and let me know he only had like 5 more minutes. 30 minutes later!!! he was ready to take me! ugh!!!! i understand this is the type of business where appointments can go long and what not but 30 minutes is long time to wait to start!!! so i tell daniel i want some golden highlites in my hair. very natural looking nothing too streaky, something low maintenance that wouldnt need any touch ups 3 or 6 months from now. not all over either just kind of like on the top of my head. i get them done every year right before summer starts to kind of lighten up my look and i have never had a problem. 2 and half hours later!!!!!! i am finally done and it is nothing like what i asked for!! i am completely blonde all over and it looks so far from anything natural!! i was so over it at this point though i didnt even care i just wanted to get out there! so i go to pay and the website says that highlites are $125. let me tell you, i spent WAAAYYY more than that! i was very upset with not only daniel but with you fellow yelpers who steered me in the wrong direction in going here! please save yourself and your hair and do not go here!!!!! read more

I purchased a deal on life booker for Lorenzo. Lorenzo was extremely easy-going and friendly and the place itself had good atmosphere. I asked Lorenzo for very subtle highlights. He agreed and started to process my hair. I have had Bayalage before and loved it. As he was coloring my hair, I was wondering why he was coloring so much of it... I am pretty easygoing about my hair, so I decided to trust whatever he was doing. After he blow-dried, I said "umm, it's not at all subtle." (it was way too blond and most of my hair was died). Lorezno just shrugged,did not offer a solution, and we both walked away. I had to dye my hair again to fix it. read more

I've been to this salon twice now -- and both times saw Lorenzo. The first time I went I thought he did a GREAT job but was really disappointed with my second visit. I walked out basically with the same hair I came in with! The highlights were barely noticeable and a complete waste of my money. Not to mention Lorenzo is extremely cold and won't utter a word to you while he's doing your hair... which just makes the experience awkward. Will not be returning here. read more

Jay Diola is an amazing amazing man! So cool so amazing and the best hair cut I have ever had in my entire life. If you want a specific hair cut go to him. I get a 60s bob cut and he does it perfect... When my hair is longer and i just need a trim i go else where due to the price. But for a very specific cut go to Jay for sure. read more

All I can say is that, since Holly at Good Form has been doing my hair (about 3 years, both cut and color), no matter where I am in the world, people stop me to compliment my hair. Uptown ladies, downtown hipsters, it even happened in Paris. My semi-straight hair grows in every direction, has cowlicks, etc. and Holly somehow manages to cut it into a beautiful shoulder length bob. She mixes up a special blend of candied reds for a cran-raspberry shade that compliments my coloring so perfectly that it looks...natural (if that makes sense). Even after 5 weeks, when it should have faded to a dull mess, it looks shiny and bright. She also whips up a mean chignon and is probably the only person in the world who can get my hair to hold a curl. I see all the stylists there creating beautiful hair for men, women and kids- and all kinds of styles from natural beauty and neat and trim to wild and dramatic. I've been going to Goodform since it was Lather and before that No Bones. It's maintained its edgy, creative spirit while still staying in business, which says a lot for the quality and value of what happens in there. I always feel amazing when I leave and the prices are terrific. I have curly hair and Jay cuts it flawlessly, whether I'm wearing it straight or in the hard-to-manage curl state. Rebekah styled my hair in a super stylish braidy way for my wedding, they're all so nice and good at what they do. Only downside is that you have to keep an eye on your meters, make sure you bring $2 quarters, just for good measure. read more

I got a gilt gift from my mother for a haircut and base color. I booked an appointment with Julie and was excited to be able to go to a high end salon. I am indeed a college student with no extra money so this was something special. I arrived 30 minutes early and was told I would have to wait 15 minutes past my 1 o'clock appointment time. I said no problem and waited patiently. At approximately 1:45 Julie finally came out after munching on a salad or an extra 30 minutes. She brought me in and consulted me. Absolutely no input of mine was taken and after spending over 20 minutes in the back gossiping she told me she would have to bleach my roots for $100 extra. After insisting many a time that I did not have the extra money she would not budge so I calmly told her thank you but no thank you and exited the building. I Also came in in jeans and a t-shirt quite unlike their other clientele, I believe I was being treated differently because of it. Overall awful experience. read more

As a woman living/working in LA I have tons of options to get my hair done.. Thus, I have also tried a slew of salons from O.C to the Valley. My hairstylist, Martin La Blanc, is amazing and is the reason I keep coming back!! She honestly is the best in the biz and has worked in the film/t.v. to prove it.. Her artistry is amazing and really listens to her clients needs. She understand want I want everytime I come see her. I have super long/poofy hair and she does wonders.. The salon staff is very friendly and helps with makeing appointmenst easy. They also have a great product selection. Natale is amazing! My life is forever changed thanks to her talent. I have this crazy cowlick that has always prevented me from having bangs, but I NEED bangs because I have a huge forehead. You can imagine my dilemma. I have had so many bad experiences trying to get bangs that don't stick up and go in different direction. I went into Natale after a friend told me she was an expert at cutting bangs, "The Bang Whisperer". I was blown away! EXACTLY what I always wanted. Chevonne Moore! She's the best. I've been going to hairstylists for years that try to make me look like a newscaster. Chevonne's cuts are edgy but professional, and she's an absolute DOLL to spend time with in the salon chair! She really understands all types of hair (mine is wavy). The last cut she gave me, with bangs, had people telling me it was the best they'd ever seen my hair. I couldn't agree more! Her color work is amazing, too. My blonde looks super natural, really beachy. I love it. She does a great job with men as well! My husband actually started going to her first, and convinced me to start. I have followed Daniel Cosgrove since his early days as a stylist (I won't mention his long-ago salons of yesteryear--they're irrelevant)--he's at the best salon in LA. This salon is unpretentious, low-key, and Daniel is the same: he gives precise, killer color and cuts. I had stylists and colorists from New York City to LA cut, style and color my hair for many years, but with Daniel, I've landed the best. From the first cut and highlights/lowlights he gave me, he had the perfect balance of listening and suggesting (like a beauty therapist), and he has never let me down. People always compliment me on me haircut and color, and so I'm a loyal customer and have been for years. Also, since I've been a longtime Goodform client, I should add that I observe the talent of the stylists--it's just a great place.
