When we arrived at 10:25 there was already a 45 min wait, and to order food it would also take about the same I was told due to them making the food to order, so we waited to be seated. Once seated, we were greeted by Greta, who was a sweet and attentive waitress. We were pretty hungry so we ordered as soon as she arrived. I got the short stack with fruit, eggs and grilled hash browns. My friends got the brioche French toast and veggie omelet. The veggie omelet had a few pieces of ham in it, which was alarming, but luckily my friend didn't mind. The food wasn't anything to rave about but was filling and really inexpensive. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd love to try some other things on their menu next time. read more

Still outstanding! First tried this restaurant nearly 13 years ago. I wasn't a Yelper then or did Yelp even exist?? Anyway, they are amazing. Took my husband for his first visit for his birthday this week. He also fell in love with Goodness Gracious. It has the trifecta--service, food, and quality. I had the Quiche Lorraine with a side of short stack buttermilk pancakes and grilled hash browns and House coffee. If I wasn't so full, I would have ordered another meal. Every bit was devoured. Oh my goodness (I won't say gracious just for the pun) but WOW! THIS PLACE WAS GOOD! Went here for brunch which is what they specialize in, since they're only open 8-2. This place can get busy, we had a half hour wait but it was well worth it. The space is pretty small but a nice ambiance! The food was absolutely fantastic. We got the polish plate and chicken puff from their specialty menu. **Their specialty menu has WAY better options than their not so menu** The chicken puff was extremely good, their sweet potato fries were also very good, not the best I've had but solid. Their French toast though. My goodness, I had to get pinched because I thought I was dreaming. BEST. FRENCH. TOAST. I'VE. HAD. EVER. We went to Goodness Gracious for the first time on a Sunday after mass and it was great. First, we were there before things got busy so we were seated right away. Our sweet server, Walter, was attentive and friendly. We ordered the Polish Plate, cinnamon roll pancakes and the BLT - all three were amazing but the cinnamon roll pancakes were truly the star. They are a customer favorite for a reason! I love the option of a flavored coffee instead of just regular coffee. We will certainly be back to try more of the menu. read more

I've been a fan of Goodness Gracious for 10+ years. When they were located off the square we visited a couple of times a month. When they moved out to Readyville we still made the trek and ate at the mill location every so often. I was stoked to see that they opened a location in the center of Murfreesboro at the fountains. The food is still absolutely delicious and I was happy to see that some of my favorites are still on their new limited menu. The gouda grits, the french toast and the filled strawberries are some of my go to favorites and are what I would recommend to anyone visiting for their first time. On this trip I had the B.A.T Eggs Benedict which featured a spicy cajun hollandaise sauce and fresh avocado and it was fantastic. Unfortunately I think they are still working out some kinks with the new location and those made our trip less than great. First the restaurant is very small. While we got there at a good time and were seated quickly, the place filled up fast! Because the waiting area at the front is so small, the folks waiting eventually spilled over into the dining area and we had people standing behind us while we were eating, which was pretty uncomfortable. The staff were very friendly but it was obvious that they are newer and still learning the ropes. We had someone in a party with a food allergy and when we asked if they had a gluten free menu or knew of any gluten free items, we were told twice by two different servers that they would go check and get back to us, but neither of them ever did. After we ordered, we ended up waiting 45 minutes for our food to arrive which was kind of a bummer. I'm still a huge fan of this place, and I'm going to attribute the kinks to the growing pains of a new location. I definitely plan on coming back because the food is delicious and the service we have always received at the other locations has been top notch. read more

We were regulars at the old Readyville location but just haven't tried this newer location. I have been twice, once with a friend and once with my wife. The first time I went with a friend around 1100 am. Seated right away, had a nice waitress and the food was good. Restaurant was clean with plenty of open tables. Good food- 4 stars this visit. Later I took my wife there and some lady stole our window seat by lying that she had received the (our) call that a table was ready. We got placed in the back of the restaurant on a table that wobbled to where I had to shim the table leg with napkins. Food wasn't as good as the first time I went and wife was disappointed with being seated in the back and with her food. A low 3 star rating. So overall I give this place a 3 star review based on two visits. read more

Very cute place, busy. Our server was busy and distracted. We were rushed at ordering and subsequently mistakes were made. We ordered the Polish Plate. The pierogi dough was thick and tough, filling was good though. The sausage skin was tough enough to not eat. The grits had good flavor but were under cooked. The jam for the toast was honestly the best thing on the plate! Overall not impressed. When we asked for our check it was brought to us, then she stood at the table awkwardly waiting so I asked her to come back as I was still eating! I got the B.A.T Benedict which came with two sides, I choose the pineapple casserole and short stack French toast. It has a generous amount of bacon, avocado, tomato, and the egg was cooked perfect with the chipotle hollandaise sauce. I couldn't finish the pineapple casserole as it was too sweet for me, but the short stack French toast was amazing. My boyfriend got the Breakfast Burrito that is from their special menu and side of biscuits and gravy. The burrito had bacon, cheesy eggs, hashbrown inside and topped with chorizo sauce, jalapeños cream sauce, and pico! It was humongous but most importantly so so good. Great service, from the host to the waitress, Ava, and everyone in between. We had a 21-month-old in our party, and most of the staff passing by, stopped to say hello. I had the sampler salad with chicken salad and smoked pimento cheese; there were also delicious stuffed strawberries and a blue cheese slaw with a key lime muffin. Ava was a wonderful, attentive server who really went the extra mile to help manage the little one at our table. The only issue was waiting about 35 minutes with a hungry toddler. Nice & roomy inside with additional parts of the dining room sectioned off. (There is also outdoor seating.) Very good breakfast! I had the Polish Plate which is pierogis, kielbasa, and eggs (biscuits and cheese grits as my sides,) and southern pecan coffee. This is in a small town of Greenbrier, a local flavor and the grandchildren love this place. It's always a great place to go after a football baseball game to celebrate winning or losing. It wasn't how I remembered back when Goodness Gracious was on the square. It used to be so good back then. My boyfriend got the Cajun chicken croissant. I would consider myself a "foodie" willing to try cuisines outside most people's comfort zone? Goodness Gracious by all accounts fell into my category of comfort food, breakfast and burgers. The unique thing about this place is that they just didn't serve Cheese Grits or a gourmet burger with an egg and bacon on it but put your taste buds on a roller coaster by substituting Gouda cheese visa cheddar in the grits! Not to be outdone the gourmet burger had the missing a condiment (besides the bacon and egg aforementioned) that would seal the deal and move it into the breakfast isle...Sausage gravy! Our server was accommodating and engaged with our humorous banter (endured willingly my brother and my silly jollies) with the manager joining in to make us feel very welcomed! The cleanliness and layout of the area was great for small or large parties and allowed for outside dining when climate allowed. My man n I had brunch here the other day. Greta was our server and oh what a fine experience it was. The ambiance from the moment we entered the space was phenomenal. The lady seating us was fabulous and even checked on us to make sure our drink order was taken. The food was exceptional. Erik I was told was the chef and we even had specific needs and edits.
