Great staff and best price when it comes to purchasing alkaline water. I purchase the 5 gallon container and it no more than 9 dollars. Sometimes I forget to top to water container so that's why I pay an extra dollar. Can't beat this price. read more

Me and my husband have been coming here for years we love supporting small businesses. We started mainly coming for the alkaline water but quickly got addicted to their hot lunch options. We absolutely love the Korean BBQ chicken and the tempeh. But my favorite is the wild salmon sandwich it's so delicious! We have also had their wheat grass shots which are also great. Sue and the staff are really nice and they make it a point to remember everyone and say hi to their returning customers. I have also started buying some household ,beauty, and health products from them as well as we have compared prices online and they really are reasonable so we love to support and give them our business. read more

Disappointing- after being a 1-2 a week customer for over 10 years I have stopped coming here. I am a therapist and my clients depend on me to be calm and in a good mood- therefore I carefully select my lunch places to be sure the environment is calm and peaceful. Goodness Grocery had always been such a place. Then several months ago they changed the tv that dominates the small dining room from HGTV to a news station that is infamous for their incendiary reporting style and constant attempts to frighten and anger their viewers. When I asked why and inferred that I preferred the way it was I was told the staff chose that station. I elected to stop going.but went back after a couple of months for takeout and one of the owners- Sue- who had always been very kind in the past asked me why I had stopped coming. When I told her the reason she said "oh" while I was in the middle of explaining and then she walked off. It seemed very rude to me and I won't be back. read more

I have patronized Goodness Grocery store for years since I live in close proximity to them. They offer great cook-to-order food and are known for their smoothies, wheat grass shots, and natural supplements. But they are VERY pricey and over the years, their customer service has declined. Not to mention, they don't offer any incentives for tenured, frequent customers. They'll have one event a year for their customers but it's usually during the week when most working people can't attend. Mrs. Sue is nice but her husband Jimmy NEVER EVER smiles or greets you!!! He always seems like he's upset. Mrs. Karen is hit or miss. Some days she is good and on others, maybe not so much (Nice-nasty at times). The only ones who are CONSISTENTLY NICE are Mrs. Sue's sister and the young man who is always with her. Their customer service is bar none SUPERB! Thank God they are always at the register! In addition to the sub par customer service, another complaint I have is that lately I've noticed on several occasions, they watch and follow you when you come into the store as if you are going to steal something! I've spoken to other long time customers as well who say they feel the same way. This is NOT how you treat customers especially if you profess that your business is built on the principles of GOD!!! This complaint alone warrants a 1 STAR and is a deal breaker for me! I will not walk into a store and be made to feel like a criminal especially when I make purchases from them on a regular basis!! I'm a hardworking citizen who works for everything I own so no one, including myself, should have to experience this! You are not the only whole foods store and if you want to continue to keep your customers especially the tenured ones, treat them BETTER! It's that SIMPLE! read more

Somewhere between Trader Joe's and Whole Foods lies Goodness Grocery, an almost one-stop shop for all things natural, organic and good for you. Their extensive line of body care products is nothing short of amazing - this is where Trader Joe's just can't compete. They carry skin care, health care items, vitamins, supplements, shampoos, soaps, bubble baths, etc. and even organic feminine products (which I never knew existed). The grocer also features aisles and aisles of better for you everyday packaged food products, everything you'd need to stock your shelves. If it's gluten-free, diary-free, peanut-free or sugar free, they've got it in stock. Last time I visited, they'd added lunch meats and sliced cheeses, so they're ramping up their fresh foods as well. They still have a ways to go on produce, but they offer fresh cooked foods to go in the meantime. The staff is quite helpful, without being overly friendly, and they actually appear to use the products in the store. Goodness Grocery has the convenience of a Trader Joe's with more products to choose from and benefits from being smaller than Whole Foods, which can be a little overwhelming on a simple Saturday shopping trip. Stop in and ask lots of questions, they've got answers and plenty of good foods. read more

Goodness Grocery....More like Good Riddance Grocery. I was taken by the ionic foot bath scam at Goodness Grocery. Shame on me for not researching the validity of ionic foot baths prior to paying for one. Shame on them for taking advantage of trusting people. I am a true believer in the wellness and supplement industry and I like to give people in the industry the benefit of the doubt no matter how foreign their concepts might be. Unfortunately, this allows unscrupulous individuals to take advantage of others. When the vast preponerance of the evidence showed that ionic foot baths are nothing more than smoke and mirrors, I confronted the store owner and ionic foot bath administrator. As expected, I was immediately confronted with defensive attitudes and hostility. The owner actually walked away from me twice and refused to address my concerns. The owner did tell me that the administrator runs her business separate from the store. However, the administrator was assisting people at the register too and appeared also to be an employee. As a store owner, one is responsible for all activities and concerns that reside within the store and for addressing concerns of customers. It is not professional to run and hide when a customer brings up concerns that makes one feel uncomfortable. It's actually quite pathetic. I will say out of fairness that I finally got my money back from the administrator, but the treatment I received was inexcusable. I only got my money back when I informed the administrator that, if I didn't get reimbursed, that I would feel obligated to distribute information in front of the store on how ionic foot baths are a scam. I encourage people to do their own research on ionic foot baths before receiving one from any charlatan. As for Goodness Grocery, I will never return. I was excited to see a small independent health store in the area and wanted to support them. But to be honest, if you want spectacular prices on the same supplements and items sold at Goodness Grocery, go to VITACOST.COM. They are amazing!!! The concept of Goodness Grocery is a welcome addition to the Smyrna area. There is a good variety of foods and other health benefit products. The one complaint that I have is that the price of some of the food can be at least 20% more than other stores, such as Whole Foods and to really get the influx of customers that they need to be a long term alternative they really need to be more competitive for value. Its great to support the little guy but Cobb Harrys (Whole Foods) is not that far away either. read more

This place needs to stop taking phone orders. they never seem to get it right. We drive out of our way for their food so we called and ordered 20 mins in advance, got there and waited 15 mins. then was told our order was sitting there the whole time. There was general confusion/lack of assistance. Then turns out only one of the two meals was made. We asked for a fresh one so one of us wouldn't have a cold sandwich. Sue was very rude about it, snatching and stomping off and telling us the person who took our order didn't understand what we said as if that should make it okay. Maybe have someone else answer the phone if there's a language barrier? This is the 2nd time this has happened and we waited way longer than we should have both times. This time we asked for a refund and left hungry because she was so rude to us :( read more

if you shop here, beware. the owner is nice and helpful at first but if you try to return a product with legitimate reasons, she scoffs and makes you feel bad. i returned an unopened product and was given the run around and i tried returning another product that should have been taken off the shelf according to the product's customer service line. the owner refused to listen to me and refused a refund and walked away. i have bought so many products from them but i'm not shopping there again. i'm looking for real professional customer service. you won't get it at goodness grocery. read more
